After leaving the civil affairs bureau, Blake Sinclair took her to Lunar Lotus Studio.

Once the car stopped, Holly Crowe reflexively, and politely, thanked him, "Thank you."

Blake Sinclair curved his lips, his tone rising, "You’re welco. It’s what your husband should do."

The words "husband" coming from his mouth felt like a small hook gently scratching at her heart.

Holly obviously hadn’t fully adapted yet. She turned her head to avoid his gaze and quickly opened the car door, "Then I’ll go in. Goodbye."

Blake stopped her from getting out of the car, gently holding her wrist.

He leaned forward, "What ti do you finish? I’ll co to pick you up in the evening and we’ll go ho together."

"Go ho?" Holly was stunned.

Seeing her frown, he teased, "What? On the first day of our marriage, I’m already being kicked out of the house by my wife?"

Only then did Holly understand what he ant.

They were now legally married, expected to stay in the sa room at night, and even... sleep in the sa bed.

Just thinking about it made her breath erratic, her voice carrying a bit of bewildernt, "No, I... I’m fine with whatever you prefer. You can co anyti you’re free."

Blake’s eyes captured all of her reactions, his voice deep, "I’m always free for you. I can even accompany you all day."

"Huh?" Holly widened her eyes.

Who was Blake Sinclair?

He was synonymous with a workaholic in the industry. If people found out he skipped work for the sake of a newlywed wife, the entire company might drown her in spit.

She didn’t want to be hunted down.

Holly hurriedly refused, withdrawing her hand, "No, no."

Her tone was a bit urgent, "Go back to the company quickly. Picking up at five-thirty in the afternoon is fine."

Blake, with an empty hand, chuckled softly, indulgently, "Alright, whatever you say, madam."

Afraid of delaying him and worried he might say sothing else startling, Holly hurriedly got out of the car, practically escaping.

In the backseat of the car.

Not until her figure disappeared from view did Blake retract his gaze.

He looked towards the front seat, speaking casually, "Where’s the stuff?"

The driver, already prepared, upon hearing him, promptly handed over two marriage certificates with both hands.

Just at the civil affairs bureau entrance, when President Sinclair took the rose bouquet from him, he had casually handed over the two marriage certificates, fearing that if he delayed even a second, the lady beside might see them.

Blake accepted the certificates, fondling the cover, with the three golden words "Marriage Certificate" gleaming warmly.

He opened to see their photo side by side, his lips involuntarily lifting. Opening and closing it repeatedly, he seed never to get enough of looking.

Finally, cautiously, he stored the two certificates inside his suit pocket, close to his heart.

...

Lunar Lotus Studio.

As soon as Holly entered, she saw Celia Stiles standing with one hand on her hip and the other pinching a lump of clay, sharply eyeing her.

For so reason, under that gaze, Holly felt as if she were caught doing sothing wrong.

Celia charged forward, "Senior, I saw it all!"

Squinting her eyes and gritting her teeth, she accused, "You arrived in a Maybach today! Don’t tell you got back with that scum again!"

Holly: "..."

Celia almost seed ready to explode, with the attitude that if Holly dared to nod, she’d throw the clay in her face to wake her up.

Holly stepped forward, cautiously taking the clay from her hand, placing it back in the box.

Unexpectedly, Celia grabbed her left hand, pointing at the ring on her fourth finger, utterly surprised, "This... isn’t this..."

She suddenly looked up with barely contained anger, "Holly! You didn’t just change your mind because Zion Pence gave you a ring, did you? I’m really mad!"

Celia was so done pretending that she outright ntioned the na, in fury, pacing on the spot.

Holly clicked her tongue, quickly stepping forward to placate, deciding on a straightforward approach.

"I didn’t forgive him, didn’t get back together. The person in the car wasn’t him."

"What?"

"The person in the car was Blake Sinclair."

"What!"

"We got married."

"What!!!"

The profoundness of Chinese culture was evident in how those two words allowed Celia to express three different anings.

From doubt to shock, ending in a literal voice break.

Holly watched as Celia staggered slightly, almost crashing into a cabinet, quickly stepping forward to steady her.

She spent a few minutes explaining everything to Celia.

"Wait, let process this," Celia said, closing her eyes and leaning back on the sofa, massaging her temples.

"...So basically, Senior, after dumping the scum, you turned around and flash-married business mogul Blake Sinclair!"

She emphasized those last three words heavily.

Holly: "..."

Though it wasn’t wrong, sothing about it felt off.

Like the title of so cheesy romance novel.

Celia still held doubts, "Senior, you’re not lying to , are you? It all seems too coincidental, like everything was prearranged."

Holly chuckled, "Shall I show you the marriage certificate? That’ll definitely convince you."

Celia pondered a mont before nodding.

Holly looked down, rummaging through her bag for the marriage certificate, but after searching through both inner and outer layers, she couldn’t find it.

Recalling that both certificates were with Blake, Holly sighed inwardly.

Seeing Holly search for ages without any luck, Celia squinted.

Crossing her arms over her chest, she straightened her back, "Don’t tell you can’t find the marriage certificate, Senior?"

Holly: "...Wait a mont, let ask."

Quickly, she took out her phone and sent a ssage to Blake Sinclair.

Ding dong.

Her phone vibrated.

Sinclair Group.

eting room.

Blake Sinclair, tapping the table nonchalantly, was about to speak when his peripheral vision caught the screen lighting up. Seeing the incoming WeChat contact, he set aside the docunts and reports to unlock his phone.

A person marked as [Wife] sent a ssage a minute ago.

[Blake Sinclair, do you have our marriage certificate?]

His brow arched in curiosity as he typed his straightforward reply.

[Yes. Grandpa wanted to see it.]

Of course, it wasn’t Grandpa who wanted to see it; from the mont he obtained the certificate, Blake had no intention of giving it to Holly. Such an important thing, of course he had to keep it personally.

Soon, Holly’s lengthy and sowhat hastily written ssage arrived, bringing a barely perceptible smile to Blake’s lips.

[Should I co over to personally prove it to your friend?]

[No need, no need, if convenient, could you send a photo of the marriage certificate?]

In Lunar Lotus Studio, after sending her ssage, Holly placed the phone facedown on her lap, heart beating quickly, her palms slightly sweaty.

After sending the ssage, so hesitation lingered in her heart.

After all, this was Blake Sinclair. Their reason for getting the marriage certificate was circumstantially driven; she feared Blake, like Zion Pence, might regard the relationship as sothing to hide.

Given the nature of their relationship, she didn’t feel in a position to ask for more.

Ti passed, her phone remained silent.

Holly’s heart gradually cald, returning to its usual steady rhythm.

Self-mockingly, she picked up her phone, deciding to send a ssage saying it wasn’t necessary anymore, when several photos popped up from the other side.

The front, back, inner pages of the marriage certificate, and even a selfie of him holding it.

Holly: "....."

She skimd past the first three photos, focusing on the last selfie.

He was smiling, but the background was unmistakably a eting room.....

The reflective glass window behind him vaguely showed the shocked faces of a room full of executives.....
