Holly Crowe reluctantly withdrew her gaze, "Just looking around, out of curiosity."

The two continued walking towards the small house.

Although Blake Sinclair was still holding her hand just as before, Holly Crowe keenly sensed that ever since Sebastian Shaw appeared, his mood had noticeably turned somber and tense.

She quickened her pace by two steps, "That Sebastian Shaw, was he the one Laurel Sinclair was once engaged to?"

"Hmm."

"You told yesterday that after returning from Brelond four years ago, you brought Laurel and Shirley back to the Sinclair Family. But now it seems, that President Shaw still seems to have feelings for her."

"He’s not worthy."

Blake Sinclair, with a suppressed anger, succinctly sumd up the bitter past.

It turned out, the reason Blake agreed to Laurel’s engagent was because she had liked Sebastian Shaw since childhood. The two had a blissful five years of union, known in their circle as a loving couple.

Until the sixth anniversary after their marriage, when they encountered that unforeseen accident at sea.

After the accident, Laurel unfortunately miscarried, and Sebastian Shaw disappeared. Half a year later, when Sebastian was found, he had a pregnant stranger with him.

From then on, their relationship hit a crisis, and they broke apart.

When Blake ca into power and returned to the country, the first thing he did was bring the then-pregnant and heartbroken Laurel back to the Sinclair Family.

Listening to this, Holly felt her heart twist, suddenly recalling a crucial question, "Then, does President Shaw know about Shirley’s existence?"

Blake shook his head, then nodded, "A year ago, he sohow found out."

Holly’s eyes widened in surprise,

This old cliché of "leaving with a baby" had actually happened around her.

But beyond the shock, she felt more heartache for Laurel.

Who would have thought that the fiery, carefree eldest daughter of the Sinclair Family, had such a past behind her.

A decade-long relationship let go in a day, a pain that no one but her could truly understand.

"So, President Shaw ca here hoping to recover his mory through hypnosis, to win back Laurel?" Holly speculated.

"He won’t get that chance."

As they talked, they had already arrived in front of the small house.

After pressing the doorbell, the door opened outward, revealing a handso young gentleman wearing gold-rimd glasses and a white coat standing at the entrance.

Holly looked at him, silently taking a step back.

I admit you are sowhat good-looking, but I still hope the person treating is a bald man with a diterranean vibe.

However, after nodding slightly towards Blake, the man stepped aside.

Subsequently, an old man with a long white beard, dressed in a new-fashioned Chinese style, appeared behind him.

Holly’s eyes lit up, and she imdiately stepped forward two big steps.

This is more like it!

Holly was led by the bearded doctor into a consultation room.

It was called a consultation room, but it resembled more a living room.

Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows was a lush backyard, with ivy covering the walls, shimring green in the sunlight.

A vintage two-tier floor-standing bookshelf stood against the wall, filling the room with the fragrance of books.

Holly and Blake sat on the sofa opposite the doctor.

The bearded doctor adjusted his reading glasses, his gaze gentle and fixed on Holly, smiling slightly, "Blake said you wish to try hypnosis?"

Blake?

That intimate address made Holly pause, subconsciously looking at the man beside her.

Blake softly explained, "This is Grandpa Irving."

Irving?

Holly imdiately linked it to those traditional dicine books on the low cabinet at the entrance, a thought flashed through her mind.

She gasped lightly, "Are you Granny Young’s husband?"

Blake nodded to confirm.

Holly’s heart instantly filled with respect.

She respectfully greeted, "Hello, Grandpa Irving."

Grandpa Irving smiled, waving his hand, his gaze warm yet insightful, "Good child, tell Grandpa why you wish to try hypnosis? Could it also be like with that boy from the Shaws, to recover lost mories?"

At the ntion of the Shaws, he seed unconcerned, but his peripheral gaze swept towards Blake.

Sure enough, Blake’s expression darkened instantly.

"Grandpa Irving, if Laurel knows you’re secretly helping Sebastian Shaw recover his mory, I guarantee she’ll co with a gasoline can to set fire to those cherished banners at your door tomorrow."

At this, all the steadiness on Grandpa Irving’s face vanished instantly, and he nearly bounced over to Blake’s side.

Lowering his voice with a slight urgency, "Oh dear! I cannot admit to this, cannot speak of it! I’ve kept it hidden even from my wife! How did you two manage to stumble upon it?"

He rubbed his hands together, his tone softened, "That child is so pitiful, kneeling rigidly in front of my door for three days and nights, even an iron body can’t withstand that. Besides, the fate between Laurel and him hasn’t truly ended."

"When did you start believing in this kind of taphysics? Would you dare to say this in front of your grandson, Shane Yates?" Blake interrupted him unceremoniously.

Grandpa Irving’s face stiffened, as if his vital point had been grasped, he waved his hands repeatedly, lowering his voice further, "Oh dear! You know how Shane feels about Laurel! What would happen if he knew? Absolutely unntionable, unntionable!"

Holly watched as the once steady, divine doctor switched to a humorous old man mode, and she couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

Hearing her laughter, Grandpa Irving imdiately cleared his throat, stroked his beard, and quickly resud his sage-like deanor, seriously saying, "Alright, back to business. Young lady, tell about your situation."

The formal consultation began, and Blake was asked by an assistant nad Timmy to wait outside.

Inside the room, only the two remained, the atmosphere serene.

Gazing at the swaying greenery outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, Holly slowly opened her heart, recounting those vague and misty dreams, and the blank spaces in her mory.

The sun gradually rose higher, nearing noon.

Putting down her cup, Holly finished summarizing her situation, by which ti Grandpa Irving’s face no longer bore the earlier playful expression, his deanor had turned serious.

"So, you wish to forcefully recall those forgotten mories through hypnosis?" Grandpa Irving asked slowly.

Holly firmly nodded.

"Child, many tis, forgetting in itself is not a bad thing."

Grandpa Irving’s voice was gentle yet full of wisdom, like a flowing stream slowly washing over her heart.

"You ntioned that whenever you deliberately try to recall, you experience headaches, which is actually the brain’s self-protection chanism. It’s telling you that leaving so things untouched might be better for you."

Under his guidance, Holly gradually lowered her guard, beginning to truly ponder over the issue.

If everything was indeed as pure and beautiful as Blake described, why did Director Lennon never ntion her matters from when she was five?

And why was that year’s entire album missing?

Grandpa Irving looked at her with a profound gaze, his tone reminding, "You must understand, the weight of truth can sotis be far heavier than we imagine. Even so, are you still willing to rember, even if recalling brings more pain and trouble?"

A headache subtly returned, and Holly’s body swayed slightly.

Perceiving her discomfort, Grandpa Irving imdiately called Timmy in.

Blake, who had been attentive to the situation inside, almost instantly rushed in.
