They never expected this kind of reply from Chen Lihua in any way, they didn't see this coming.
Chen Lihua glanced at them in confusion with the sa thought, 'Did I say sothing wrong again?.' Forgetting the content she just revealed to them.
As if she was struck by lightning, she finally ca back to her senses.
'Did I just reveal to them that Longwei and I had sex to induce my labor?.'
With that thought, she raised her head to glance at her two Sisters-in-law that were staring at her in surprise.
Now with a guilty conscience, she imdiately lowered her head and sent a spoonful of rice into her mouth, just in case they wanted to ask her any question.
But obviously, She wouldn't be able to answer them since her mouth was full.
Just then, Madam Liu was passing by, but when she saw Chen Lihua struggling to eat the with her mouth so full, she hurriedly ca to her side and picked up a plate and moved towards her mouth.
"Lihua, throw out the food, it's too much for you to eat at once. Throw it out before you choke on it." Madam Liu instructed with a grave expression on her face.
Chen Lihua obeyed her instruction and threw out the food imdiately.
"Even if you're so hungry, don't eat like that." Madam Liu chided her before turning to her two daughters to ask.
"And what were you two doing when your sister-in-law nearly choked on the food? I can very well see how you two are taking care of her." Madam Liu said, emphasizing the word, 'Care.'
'What? We were the ones who choked on our food okay?.' Liu Dongi said voicelessly.
After scolding them, Madam Liu took the plate in her hand into the kitchen and returned with a tray of food in her hands.
Next, she placed the food in front of her daughters.
"Hold on Mum, why is our food different from the one Lihua is eating?." Liu Dongi asked just as Madam Liu turned to go back into the kitchen.
Madam Liu scoffed as she rolled her eyes at her before walking away without saying anything.
Chen Lihua and Liu Huiling chuckled softly at Liu Dongi's weak facial expression.
Suddenly, Chen Lihua's face squeezed up in a frown.
"Lihua, what is it?." Liu Dongi asked with worry written all over her face. Liu Huiling also looked up.
"It's the cramp, it suddenly got stronger." Chen Lihua said as her face remained in a frown.
"Aww... Sorry. Finish your food and take walks." Liu Huiling suggested.
"No, I can't eat anymore." Chen Lihua said as she bit her lips and dropped her spoon.
"Lihua relax okay." Liu Dongi said as she rubbed her back.
"Take deep breaths." Liu Huiling instructed, and Chen Lihua followed.
After so seconds, she sighed in relief because the contraction relaxed.
"I don't like this contraction at all, it hurts like nstrual cramps. And I don't like pain." Chen Lihua said with an annoyed look.
"Well, if you don't have contractions, your baby isn't coming out." Liu Dongi clarified.
"Wow." Chen Lihua exclaid and shut her eyes.
"When will your doctor be back? Because I think she should be here." Liu Huiling asked.
"She went to the hospital to settle so matters, she will back in the evening." Chen Lihua said in reply.
"That's fine. Your water hasn't broken yet, so you can relax, and the contractions are still not steady. Actually, this is just the first stage of contraction. When the real contraction cos, even this house will not contain you." Liu Dongi said as she drank from the water glass.
Chen Lihua looked shocked to hear this. During her antenatal classes, the doctors didn't tell them that, or more like they didn't use that word. They made it seem like it wasn't painful and that everything was going to be alright.
"Dongi!." Liu Huiling called out as she glared at her.
"Lihua sorry about that, but I just wanted to let you know what's going to happen soon." Liu Dongi said and rushed out of the dining area because Liu Huiling was already looking for sothing to throw on her.
"Lihua don't mind her okay? She is just teasing you. But, indeed, the real contraction hasn't co because the contraction you are experiencing now is not steady. Contractions don't hurt like hell, it's just normal period cramps that you always get through. So, you will get through this one before you know it." Liu Huiling said in a kind tone.
"Thank you, Sister Ling." Chen Lihua said.
"You're welco. Now, finish your food. Then we can take walks together while you talk to your baby. He can hear you, and he is ready to co out, so he will listen to you. You can ask him to be obedient." Liu Huiling pointed out.
"Yes, that's right. I will ask him not to be stubborn and co out quickly when the ti cos. He always listens to , except he wants my attention. But I hope he wouldn't want my attention at the wrong ti." Chen Lihua said as her face scrunched up in a frown.
Liu Huiling chuckled softly while patting her back. "Don't worry, the baby wouldn't be in the mood to play. He would want to co out quickly to see and hear his mother's voice, that sweet voice he had been listening to from the womb."
"I hope so." Chen Lihua said with her eyes filled with hope as she caressed her womb.
Liu Huiling watched over as she finished her al, before taking her hand and walking to the living room.
"Do you want to take a walk outside, or do you want to do that here, because the sun is out, and it can burn you. You had a heat stroke the last ti you basked in the sun." Liu Huiling said.
"I will start from here, then we will go outside, maybe later in the evening, I don't want to hug my bay with a toasted skin." Chen Lihua joked.
