But because she didn't believe in it, she decided to casually go into that relationship with him, with the mind-set that 'If things worked out, then it worked. And if it didn't work, then it just didn't work'.
So that's why Liu Longwei seed to be the only one putting in any form of effort into their relationship.
But now seeing how much love, care, and affection Liu Longwei showed to her even though she hasn't reciprocated them all in the way she should, she felt so touched.
She felt a tinge of regret in her heart for not taking their relationship that serious after seeing what Liu Longwei has been doing for her.
And right now, she has concluded in her heart that she would treat him right. She would take their relationship into consideration whenever she wants to take a step or make a decision.
She has decided to put in lots of effort into their relationship.
While these thoughts were going through her mind, it didn't stop her tears from continually rolling down her cheeks.
At a point, she had to cover her face with her palms since she tried wiping the tears away, but it just refused to stop.
The more she wiped them, the more they ca rolling down her cheeks again, so she ignored them.
While her friends were trying to make her stop crying, Liu Dongi with a smile on her face, she shifted to the side to dial her elder brother's phone number, and he picked on the first ring.
Once he picked up the call, Liu Dongi didn't wait for Liu Longwei to utter a word before she spoke. "Brother, your bride is crying."
Liu Longwei was taken aback by her statent.
'How could his bride be crying?' Liu Longwei asked himself before asking Liu Dongi with a hint of anxiousness in his voice, "Did sothing happen to her?"
Liu Dongi could sense the tinge of uneasiness in her brother's voice, so she smiled as she ascertained that her brother truly loved her sister-in-law.
"Brother, calm down. Nothing happened to her. She was probably too happy, but I think you should talk to her, and maybe then, she will calm down a bit," Liu Dongi suggested.
"That's alright," Liu Longwei said before terminating the call imdiately.
Knowing that nothing happened to his wife, Liu Longwei heaved a sigh of relief he didn't know he had been holding in.
His wedding with Chen Lihua was in a few hours, and no longer up to a day. So he cannot allow any harm to co near her, or let her be unhappy, even for a second.
Just as the call ended, Liu Dongi was trying to walk back towards the car, but her phone rang again. Hence, she checked the phone, only to see that it was a video call from her brother, so she accepted it imdiately.
"Give the phone to Lihua," Liu Longwei said imdiately he saw his sister's face.
"Ok," Liu Dongi replied before she hurriedly walked to Chen Lihua.
"Lihua, Big Brother wants to speak with you," Liu Dongi announced.
Without looking up, Chen Lihua rejected the call with a muffled voice. "Tell him to go away, I don't want to speak with him."
Liu Longwei heard her voice, he didn't need his sister to interpret her words for him.
"Where is she?" Liu Longwei asked as a smile appeared on his lips.
"She is inside the car," Liu Dongi answered with a smile.
It seems like Liu Longwei had infected her with a smile as well.
"I want to see her," Liu Longwei said as he gently scratched his forehead with his finger.
As everyone could hear the conversation between Liu Longwei and Liu Dongi, they smiled and felt a sweet rumbling sensation in their hearts.
'What a responsible groom,' they thought.
Liu Dongi understood that her brother wanted her to turn her phone to face Chen Lihua, so he could see her. So she imdiately did so.
"I don't want to see him," Chen Lihua said with her palms still over her face.
"But I can see you already," Liu Longwei said in a cheerful voice while staring at his wife.
"But I can't see you," Chen Lihua responded without looking at him while trying to make him unsatisfied with the current situation, but her plans failed woefully as Liu Longwei answered, "As long as I can see you, it doesn't matter."
Chen Lihua then stopped crying on seeing that her plans did not work out.
"Why are you crying?" Liu Longwei asked because that is the question he mostly needed an answer to.
"Nothing," Chen Lihua replied and sniffed imdiately after that.
"Longwei, you don't have to worry about that. She cried because she was too happy because of the ride you delivered to her doorstep," Lady Chen replied with a smile. She had co to the conclusion that her daughter wouldn't have the guts to say the truth.
Liu Longwei imdiately greeted Lady Chen, his mother, and his elders that were present, and they all accepted his greetings happily.
Now stating back at his wife, Liu Longwei said to her, "Honey, don't cry anymore, ok? The ride is for you, and tomorrow is our day. You don't want to look weird with puffy eyes tomorrow, right? Please stop crying, so my heart can be at ease."
"Awwnnn!!!" ??. The ladies there blushed at the sweet words Liu Longwei said to Chen Lihua, not minding their presence at all.
His sweet words caused a big smile to turn up on Chen Lihua's lips, even though she still had her palms over her face.
Knowing fully well that no one could see her smile, she decided to use that opportunity to blush to her heart's content.
And when she was done blushing, she faked a serious look ad she wiped her teary eyes while sniffing.
Everyone around laughed at her.
Liu Longwei wanted to laugh along with them, but he dared not do so for fear of provoking her. So he had a hard ti holding in his laughter.
