C38 – The Battle of the Cloud Pigeon
Deep in the woods, Jiaang Lin, Qiu Xiya, Ji Zhong, and the others sprinted swiftly. Guided by Jiaang Lin, they were racing toward the spot where the Cloud Pigeon had landed.
From a distance, they all could spot a vague white shadow on the ground. To these n, accustod to daily encounters with wild beasts, the identity of the shadow was unmistakable.

Qiu Xiya exclaid in amazent, her eyes fixed on Jiaang Lin and the nearby corpse of the Cloud Pigeon.
“Was that move really an attack from a Martial Cultivator Level 6?” Ji Zhong was equally astonished by Jiaang Lin’s throwing technique.
Everyone stared at Jiaang Lin’s silhouette in awe, though his expression remained unchanged.
At that mont, Jiaang Lin’s brow furrowed, and he murmured, “Are there really people daring to try and steal my prey?”
Instantly, he activated his sprinting technique. In a re heartbeat, he was already standing next to the Cloud Pigeon.
Just then, a team erged from the underbrush beside the Cloud Pigeon. Upon spotting Jiaang Lin, they instantly grew wary and tensed up.
“Who are you? We from South Mountain Village are here to hunt; you lot of loafers need to clear off!”
One villager from South Mountain Village glared at Jiaang Lin with hostility, brandishing his spear threateningly in Jiaang Lin’s direction.
Soon after, Jiaang Lin observed a dashing young man with a folding fan step forward, flanked by an elder and another youth.
“What’s the problem here?”
Zou Lieh, the young man with the folding fan, furrowed his brow as he looked at Jiaang Lin and questioned the villagers.
“Young Master, this kid just showed up next to the Cloud Pigeon. I think he’s trying to steal the Cloud Pigeon we’ve hunted!”
anwhile, in the forest behind Jiaang Lin, Qiu Xiya and her group had finally caught up.
As soon as Tie Ta and his companions appeared, they imdiately spotted Zou Lieh’s team and hostility flared up.
”Hmm? Tie Ta?”
The middle-aged man next to Zou Lieh was taken aback when he saw Tie Ta, then a cold smirk spread across his face.
“Tie Ta, haven’t I warned you before? From now on, you’re only allowed to hunt wild rabbits on the outskirts of the forest. You’re forbidden from hunting deeper in the mountains. How dare you co in here?”
“Zhang Wu, Green Mountain doesn’t belong solely to your South Mountain Village; it’s also shared with other neighboring villages. Why are you so overbearing? Do you really intend to claim Green Mountain as your own?” Tie Ta stared down Zhang Wu with defiance.
“Hmm?” Jiaang Lin’s eyebrows lifted upon hearing Tie Ta’s words.
“Tie Ta, you’ve got so nerve. You didn’t take my words to heart, and it seems you don’t even regard our South Mountain Village with any respect!” Zhang Wu scoffed. “And now you even want to claim the ga we’ve hunted as your own!”
“Tie Ta, is North Mountain Village looking to start a war with our South Mountain Village?” The elder standing beside Zhang Wu challenged.
Tie Ta’s face darkened instantly.
