C11 – Beauty
After an indeterminate amount of ti, Jiaang Lin’s eyes fluttered open, and he jolted upright. To his astonishnt, he found himself lying in a spartan cabin.
The cabin was modest, furnished with only a table, two stools, and a bed, its walls a plain green brick. In such a setting, Jiaang Lin struggled to gather his thoughts.
“What’s happening? I rember passing out. Could soone have rescued ?”
As he tried to rise, Jiaang Lin felt unsteady, his feet floating off the ground and his hands devoid of strength.
“Could it be that a fox demon drained all my Yang energy?!” he exclaid, eyes wide with panic.
Thankfully, his clothes were undisturbed, neatly in place, which brought him so relief.
Just then, the door burst open, and soone stepped inside. Jiaang Lin looked up, his eyes nearly popping out of their sockets in shock.
Before him stood a woman whose presence was as commanding as the ocean’s waves. She wore a white dress, her skin pale as snow, exuding a beauty that seed otherworldly.
If beauty had the power to kill, this woman could effortlessly bring the world to its knees.
Jiaang Lin had never laid eyes on such a stunning woman; not even the most gorgeous celebrities from his past life could hold a candle to her.
Her eyes and brows radiated an irresistible charm, captivating anyone who glanced her way, leaving them utterly enchanted.
“She is the epito of a breathtaking beauty,” Jiaang Lin marveled silently.
”Are you awake?” she asked, her voice lodious and soothing, like the sweet song of a warbler, washing away any trace of distress.
In her presence, Jiaang Lin found himself at a loss for words.

Jiaang Lin was initially taken aback, but then he felt a sudden clarity in his mind. When he looked at the woman again, he found her stunning, but the overwhelming infatuation he initially felt was gone!
“Could this woman possess the art of enchantnt? Is that why I’ve gained psychic resistance?” Jiaang Lin speculated.
“Yes!”

Jiaang Lin thought to himself, and in that mont, he was no longer swayed by the woman’s beauty!
Jiaang Lin distinctly noticed a flicker of surprise in the woman’s eyes after he received the notification.
“He’s not influenced by you?”
An elderly man suddenly materialized behind the woman. Observing the lucidity in Jiaang Lin’s gaze, he too showed a hint of astonishnt and exclaid.
Jiaang Lin furrowed his brow and asked, “Where is this place? And who are you?”
The woman detected a note of wariness in Jiaang Lin’s voice. She squinted her eyes and responded, “You’re in the City God Temple. I’m a fox demon here, preying on your Yang energy!”
With those words, she flashed a malevolent smile, her eyes lingering on Jiaang Lin’s lower body, making him stiffen.
“Enough with the nonsense. Go prepare so food, and after this gentleman has eaten, send him on his way.”
The old man spoke and then departed without waiting for a response, as if he had many pressing matters to attend to.
Suddenly, Jiaang Lin and the woman were left facing each other in silence.
