Before Jake could even land or stop feeling the pain of the first strike, he noticed that that second snow wolf was ready to head-butt him as well. However, he stopped the creature by firing two Mana Blades at its face. Thanks to that, the monster died, but when he landed, the next snow wolf opened its mouth and fired so sort of ice magic toward him. Jake blocked with his shield, but the attack still froze his legs. His shield only protected his upper half.
The monster charged at him, but then a huge Fireball exploded on the creature's face and killed it. The battle didn't last for long, but it hadn't been exactly a walk in the park. A single thing was the reason for all that… Jake's party was too offensive-oriented.

"I guess it gets harder when the enemies are big but surprisingly fast like this," Jake said. At the sa ti, he checked and noticed that his health had decreased by twenty percent with a single strike and a magic attack.
"Next ti, I will use Barrier on ti," Lana said. "Still, let's rest a little… this cold is killing us."
"You can fight the cold by moving your body," Jake said while looking around.
Jake found several Icy mountains, and he couldn't see the Deadly Forest in any direction. Hence, it was hard to locate themselves in such a place. Still, it was obvious that the dungeon was in one of those mountains, so they should find it once they found a mountain with a large number of wolves.
It didn't take long for Jake to understand that the monsters wouldn't be the only thing causing a problem for them. The environnt was also another very difficult enemy. It seed that no matter which direction they might go, the wind would blow against them. It was a pretty weird extra challenge, but it only worked to make Jake more excited about it.
When the next group of wolves appeared, Jake raised his guard since he couldn't let himself beco a volleyball for those creatures. However, he couldn't use Mana Blade every single ti either. So, when the enemies charged at him, he did the sa at the last minute and then cut in half the head of one of the wolves with a quick succession of Bash.
The two remaining creatures stopped their advance and raised their guard against Jake. Thanks to that, Louise was safe to hit both of them with Poison Bullets. In the brief mont where the poison made one of them feel dizzy, Jake slashed his sword toward the monster's eyes and followed with a quick sequence of thrusts and killed it. The remaining enemy tried to attack Jake from behind, but he turned around to block the attack by using Shield Smash on the creature's face. The snow wolf got dizzy, and then Jake attacked it with his katana.

"Hmm… I am still using too much stamina against them," Jake thought.
For the ti being, his body was fine, but things started to get complicated once Jake's stamina reached the mid-point. Still, for the ti being, Jake realized that he couldn't think about that. Lana and Louise's faces were quickly turning blue due to the cold. They needed to master the cape and then learn Cold Resistance as soon as possible and level it up.
"Your classes didn't increase your willpower, not even a little bit, but your ntality is high," Jake rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "As expected, willpower is for negative effects. Anyway, using Purification might help you guys a little bit."
Lana nodded since she didn't think of that. It seed that the cold was affecting her a little too much… Nevertheless, she tried, and even though the skill was at the level one, she noticed so quick results. The cold disappeared, and she felt the sa way when she appeared on that map… but the cold was quickly getting to her again.
"I hate these fucking maps so much… why can't we play in so environnt that actually isn't a pain in the ass?" Lana asked.
"Let's just endure this for a while longer, Lana," Louise forced a smile. "Once we return, I will help you buy the item that will grant you the skill that will increase our willpower temporarily."
That seed like a good idea, but since willpower was that useful, Jake imagined that the cost would be pretty high… Nevertheless, Louise was enduring the cold quite a little bit, considering that her cape wasn't suited to that. Jake learned why in the next battle, she managed to warm herself up while she was charging her Fireball. No wonder he thought that she was taking a little more ti than usual to use her spells…
In any case, the group walked toward and reached the nearest mountain after walking for one hour. However, they didn't find a particularly high number of snow wolves there… it seed that the dungeon wasn't there.
"What now?" Lana asked. "There are like, twenty mountains on this map… how are we going to find the right one when we can't even locate ourselves since our starting points are always random?"
"That is a good question," Jake replied.
"I know, but I want an answer, not a realization of my amazing intelligence," Lana said.
Truth to be told, Jake didn't know the best thod to find the dungeon as early as possible. The only way was to look for a large number of enemies… and rely more than a little bit on luck. That wouldn't work out for Jake. He didn't want to rely on unreliable factors like luck to be able to clear the dungeon on that very sa day.
Finding a tall place to look around for high monster concentrations won't work since the mountains were too high, and Jake's eyes weren't that good. Not to ntion, they would waste quite a lot of ti climbing those mountains…
