All of a sudden, the enemy made a spear appear in his hands, and it wasn't like the others Jake had seen so far. It was a weapon made entirely of flas, and it made the air around it vibrate like crazy… Jake wondered how the enemy could hold that without being burned. Unless he was a humanoid dragon that had Fire Resistance: Fire Immunity, and Fire Absorption, it didn't seem like a good idea to touch sothing like that…
The enemy charged at Jake and tried to stab his head. Jake blocked the strike, but he felt a terrible heat coming from the weapon, but only for a mont. He was sent flying to the distance… after rolling on the ground several tis, he got up only to see the enemy right above him.
"Finally, so real challenge here," Jake thought while smirking.
Jake swung his sword from the side, and then the weapons collided. The impact caused a shockwave that pushed away all the enemies nearby, making them fall or fly several ters Away. Jake didn't have ti to deal with them, and while he let them hit him with the bolts, Jake disposed of all of them instantly. It was worth the cost… still, that gave to the enemy an unexpected opportunity. The cybernetic spearman suddenly threw his spear at Jake, and he was unable to dodge it.
Although he protected himself with his sword, the weapon caused a massive explosion that sent him flying in the opposite direction at supersonic speeds… in the end, Jake hit his back against one of the tallic buildings around, and he felt his body being crushed by the pressure.
Jake's health dropped to dangerous levels, and while he was falling, he saw the enemy creating another fla spear. That couldn't be good… that control over the fire elent and resistance… the enemy truly looked more and more like a dragonnewt…
"I can't fall here… not before I learn what I need to learn…" Jake thought.
In the end, Jake was forced to rely on the power of the sins… the enemy prepared to throw another spear at him, and surviving another blast of that level would be too much. Still, even in that situation, Jake noticed sothing else… when he saw one of the guys he had killed before landing on the top of the new enemy's fire spear and being burned to a crisp… that made the weapon lose so stability for a short while and delayed the cybernetic spearman… if even for a second only.
"It can't be helped…" Jake said after he enhanced his sword with Frozen Touch and the dark flas.
When the enemy threw the spear, Jake used Mana Blade, and a crescent moon-shaped attack made of dark ice flew toward the weapon. Both projectiles collided and exploded in the spot midway through those two. They completely nullified each other…
The power of attack had been more powerful than Jake had expected… he had such an idea when he faced Helena in his previous life. It was basically a copy, but he couldn't care less either way. He couldn't allow himself to fall now.
The blast made all the buildings nearby tremble as well as pushed away the annoying enemies that could take Jake's attention, if even for a short while. Still, when the smoke caused those attacks ended, Jake saw the enemy preparing another fla spear… it was truly a powerful attack, but spamming like that was stupid… it truly made him confirm that the enemy was being controlled by those people with the helts… that was the chance that Jake had been waiting for.
Although all of the dark flas had been consud in the previous attack, Jake summoned more and used the sa combination. Thanks to the Sinful Ruler class, Jake's dark flas were a lot more powerful than before, so his next attack made the explosion happen a lot closer to the enemy.
The attack made a lot of smoke erge in the area again, and the cyborg spearman was already preparing another fla spear when Jake suddenly approached from the sky and then slashed his sword at him. The weapon didn't have that many dark flas left since Jake was ntally tired, but at least it helped him pierce so of the cybernetic parts of the enemy.
When the archer fell from the sky, Jake realized that while soone was controlling the enemy, they had access to their skills and basic paraters but not to the enemy's instincts. Sothing as noticing the enemy approach from above in the sky was relatively simple, but the one controlling the spearman from a distance would never realize that…
Despite that… even controlling soone of that level had its rits… for one, the one behind the enemy couldn't feel pain. So, despite the wounds on the spearman, he still attacked Jake with his fla spear… Jake only had ti to enhance his left arm with Frozen Touch and the dark flas before blocking the attack, and then another explosion happened…
