As one would expect, Jake was unable to see anything, but he was betting that Diego had obtained a new skill to help him with that. At the sa ti, he ca to realize that the machines around him seed similar to the ones that he saw on the mission to deal with the liches.

Diego had a hard ti controlling his anger. He felt like Jake's existence had the only purpose of pissing him off. He also didn't know that the existence of those that wanted to kill Jake had a single purpose from his perspective: to be made fun of.
Regardless, Diego realized that even with his speed, direct attacks wouldn't work, so he began to run around Jake. From Jake's perspective, it felt like he was only seeing a slightly slower bolt of lightning flying around him. Regardless, Jake realized a long ti ago that Diego could only use the skill to move faster. His attacks couldn't beco faster… it still was a troubleso ability, though.
Before attacking directly, Diego began to fire more of the lightning bolts added with the power of Mana Blade. Jake managed to react to those, and the used Deflect to prevent being hit, damaged, and get paralyzed by them. Unfortunately, it was impossible to hit Diego with his speed. Instead of that, Jake ended up hitting those weird machines, and they imdiately fired back lightning bolts at him.
Jake dodged them by using Flash. He thought that it would be impossible given their speed, but he pulled it off… unfortunately, he gave Diego the opening that he wanted by not looking at him for a mont…
Diego suddenly moved toward him to make his attack faster. He just ran toward Jake with his sword already pointed at him. Thanks to it, he didn't put much of his own strength behind the attack. Still, with the montum alone, the impact on the back of his head knocked Jake down and paralyzed his body.
Diego jumped to finish Jake off, only to find a wall of dark flas on his way. Jake got up while checking the back of his head, and it was bleeding quite a bit… there was no ti for jokes anymore. That fucking asshole almost pierced the back of his head. That wasn't the fighting style that Jake liked to use against a single enemy, but he decided to ignore his preferences and focus only on the goal… kill that son of a bitch.
Jake summoned so swords using the dark flas and made them fly around him while he watched the thunder armor of the enemy, making the dark flas disappear on Diegoe's armor. At the sa ti, more electricity ca from the machines to help him.
Even in his rage, Jake knew that attacking with the swords of dark flas wouldn't be enough, but he had another thing in store for later. For now, he will have to make do with what he has.
When Diego began to run around again, Jake just closed his eyes and focused his senses. The enemy recognized that as a challenge and then tried to attack Jake's back again. However, before his sword could reach him, Jake's dark flas swords flew to his face. Diego reacted fast enough to jump backward and block them with his own sword, enhanced by electricity. While he didn't suffer any real damage, he still was surprised.
That kind of reaction wasn't supposed to be possible, even to those who had good senses. He could only assu that Jake decided to rely on his instincts. When it cos to battle, the instincts of king Judas were unrivaled. Those who knew him were aware of that…
Diego frowned when he saw Jake still with his eyes closed. That was more than unnerving. He also summoned more swords, as if he was telling him that he could defend himself like that as many tis as he wanted.
