Jake nodded in satisfaction. He finally got the sword that he wanted. A two-handed one that was bigger than him, and it was also pretty thick. The skill that it would grant him was also nice, but it was literally a double-edged sword. It would make him suffer more damage from the effects of magic. Also, Flas of Wrath would be weakened while that stays active… as much as it is weird. Nevertheless, his fighting style will improve by leaps and bounds with that.
"It will be useful in situations where I am cornered, so I guess it is fine," Jake thought, and then he was teleported to his base.
Only two hours had passed since he chose that mission, and he got so excellent rewards. It wouldn't be surprising if the guilds sent other parties to those missions after realizing what was going on. Still, Jake decided to check the second planet anyway.
After he selected the mission, Jake was teleported to a snow field, it seed like the type of place he would like, but such thoughts disappeared from his mind when he saw the an extrely grey sky in front of him… it wasn't because of a snowstorm that was falling… sothing was burning.

Nevertheless, Jake saw an army of tall ape-like creatures that had their backs on fire, moving to the city on fire. Their number wasn't high because a lot of them were already inside the city.
"The inhabitants here didn't endure the attack for long…" Jake thought as he dashed toward the city.
While Jake was heading to the city, he noticed that it was also another castle… was it a coincidence that the criminals were aiming for two cities that had castles? They might be the capitals of so kingdoms, and now they were targetting them to cause as much damage in those worlds as possible. Still, there was also a chance that they were targetting sothing else.
Instead of facing directly hundreds of enemies that were heading to the city, Jake approached the walls on the southern side and then jumped with all his might. His strength had increased so much that he jumped over the forty ters wall like it was nothing. That scared him a bit… In any case, he soon landed inside and heard the sound of buildings being destroyed left and right. So soldiers were fighting, but they were very outnumbered.

Those ape-like creatures were a lot more balanced than their bodies let them to be… they were almost two and a half ters tall, after all. In any case, their punches could shatter the ground and break walls in a single strike, so it was no surprise that the knights of that city were having a hard ti fighting them. They were rather short, after all. Jake didn't see any of them being taller than 1,7 ters… Nevertheless, the inhabitants of that world also were quite hairy, but their fur was white, and they had long ears that passed through so holes in their helts.
"Rabbit people?" Jake thought while frowning.
In any case, Jake had to move. He didn't have ti to waste thinking about the nurous species across the cosmos… even if they were weird as hell. Since he was already equipped with his cloak and new sword, Jake was itching to fight, even though he had spent the last two hours already doing that. He was getting addicted to that feeling of adrenaline.
When they saw the cloaked figure approaching, the monster turned to face Jake. The first monster enveloped their fists with flas and then tried to punch Jake, but at the last mont, he moved to the side and dodged the attack. Still, the heat of the flas and the pressure of the attack made the hair on Jake's back stand. A single hit, and he would probably fly over the wall.
After dodging the strike, Jake swung down his sword and attacked the head of the creature. The monster tried to block the strike with its remaining arm, and while the ape blocked and protected its head, it ca with a cost… The arm of the beast was cut off. Jake just took another step to the side before he could swing his weapon again and then hit the neck of the monster. Jake felt so Resistance, but he still beheaded the monster with a single strike.
Jake still needed to get used to the weapon. Since it was big, he was swinging slower than usual, but that was sothing he could adjust… Nevertheless, the others apes saw that and opened their mouths toward Jake. In the next mont, a massive sea of flas reached Jake…
The heat of the flas was so intense that Jake felt that he was on a tropical island instead of a kingdom covered in snow.
