Tyler walked up to Jasmine with a smile on his face. When he got to her table, he sat down opposite her and had a wide smile on his face.

"You look beautiful". He said.

And truly she did. She was wearing a Monaco jersey and painted her face red and white for the occasion.

"Thank you". She smiled. She then searched his hands. "No flowers?"

"Uh... Em..." Tyler started stuttering as soon as he heard her question. He was taking her to watch a football match in a noisy and rowdy stadium, he didn’t think that she would’ve needed flowers.

"No flowers, huh?" Jasmine said, smiling in a way that made Tyler realize that she was just teasing him. "What else can I expect from a dissatisfied youngester that criticizes his coach on the news".

Tyler chuckled when he heard her remark. "You know about that news scandal, huh?"

"I think even the people who don’t watch football know about it". Jasmine said. "Why didn’t you tell that you played for Monaco?"

Tyler shrugged. "I don’t know. I guess it just didn’t co up"

"So how long would you have waited before you told ?" She asked again.

"Until it ca up". Tyler replied.

Jasmine smiled again, then she stood up and stretched her hands out. "Shall we be going?"

Tyler took her hands and smiled as he led her away from her mom’s restaurant, into the slightly crowded street and finally, their destination for the evening... Stade Louis II

Holding her hand, Tyler led her through another entrance to the stadium, away from the crowd at the main gate. All he had to do was flash the security his identification, not that they didn’t already recognize him, and confirm that Jasmine was with him.

After getting into the stadium, he led Jasmine to their seats. Seeing as he was taking soone else to the match, Tyler had purchased an actual ticket. If he was alone, he would’ve gone to the VIP section, but he brought soone and it was a date so he bought tickets as he felt that she would’ve liked to feel the matchday atmosphere and whatnot.

As they settled into their seats. Jasmine brought out her phone and started videoing everything. The fans filing in the stadium, the two teams warming up on the pitch, as well as their seats. She even did a few videos with Tyler.

Seeing Jasmine so excited about watching the match made Tyler smile. It was nice to know that he contributed to her happiness at the mont.

"Fuck man". Tyler though to himself as soon as he had the prior thought. "I think I’m down bad already".

"So what’s the situation with you and the first team". Jasmine asked.

"Well, I don’t know. I train with them but the coach doesn’t think I’m ready to play with the first team".

"Hence your crash out". Jasmine smiled. Her smile went even deeper when she saw Tyler roll his eyes. "Valid crash out if you ask ".

"Please stop reminding about that stupid news". Tyler said while rubbing his forehead.

Jasmine continued to asked Tyler questions about training. She was really interested about the details in relations to training, recover and all that. She was also asking him about the behaviours of so of the older players in the squad.

They talked for about thirty minutes, before the players that were warming up on the pitch started retreating inside the stadium to shower and change into their jerseys.

"Ooh. How does it look like inside the locker room?" Jasmine asked excitedly.

"I actually haven’t been inside the locker room here yet". Tyler answered with a smile. "I haven’t been part of the squad, rember?"

"That’s true". Jasmine said. "You haven’t made your debut yet". She then turned to him and looked at him with a serious expression. "If you do think you’re going to be in the matchday squad, tell so I can get a ticket".

"Why?" Tyler asked.

"So I can watch you play". Jasmine said with a smile.

"But what if I don’t get subbed in?" Tyler asked.

"Then I guess I’ll just keep buying tickets until I get to see you play". Jasmine said with a smile.

Tyler stated at Jasmine as she smiled, and he felt a warm feeling in his heart. His eyes eventually difters to her lips, and then her eyes, and then all of a sudden, it was taking everything he had inside of him not to kiss her imdiately.

While Tyler was lost in his thoughts, the referees started filing out, and they were followed by the two sets of players, fresh from the locker room, walking out onto the pitch for their match.

["Welco ladies and gentlen, take a seat and enjoy yourselves. You are about to be treated to an absolute cracker of a match. Two teams walking out of the tunnel, two teams on opposite ends of the table, two teams chasing very very different things inside one battlefield"] The comntator started talking as soon as the two teams filed out into the pitch.

["Auxerre are looking to push themselves away from the relegation scrap. They’ve done a good job of staying away from it so far. Thirteenth in the standings but they’re drifting dangerously close to relegation affairs and they would want so degree of safety from it. To be safely embedded into the mid table and closer to the fight for Europe. A fight that their opponents today are taking place in. Monaco are in a very good place, better than they thought they would be at this point in the season. They’re trying to solidify their stance in the fight for Champions League football. Just behind Marseille and Paris Saint Germain in the table, they want to make the third Champions League spot theirs. And to do that, anything other than a win here tonighbwill not be acceptable."] The co-comntator also added so words of his own as the two teams spread out, before which the Monaco players walked out to start shaking the hands of the Auxerre players.

After that, the two teams started went to ther side of the pitch and arranged themselves in their desired positions and then the referee blew his whistle and the match comnced.

"It’s started! It’s started!" Jasmine squealed excitedly while pointing at the field.

"Yes. I see that". Tyler smiled while staring at the field, and at his teammates.

The match started off slowly. From the beginning of thing, it was clear who were the underdogs and who were the favorites. Monaco kicked things off and almost imdiately they launched an attack.

Minamino received a long ball from the defense and dribbled his way to the edge of the penalty box. Using a bit of fancy footwork to get last the defender, he managed to create so space for himself and crossed the ball into the middle of the penalty box.

Mika Biereth managed to shrug off the two center backs inside the box, trying to contain him and ran to the ball, using his head to direct it towards the post.

Unfortunately for Monaco, it seed that they weren’t ant to get an early lead in the match. Auxerre’s goalkeeper managed to get a palm to the ball with nearly superhuman reflexes and pushed the ball out for a corner.

"Aww!".

A collective sigh of disappointnt echoed from the ho fans section in the stadium after Auxerre’s goalkeeper saved the penalty. Ninety percent of people the stadium thought that Biereth was going to score as soon as he got his head to the ball. Unfortunately, Auxerre’s goalkeeper had different plans.

"I hate that goalkeeper". Jasmine said as a Monaco player fetched the ball from he resulting corner kick.

Tyler smiled at her comnt, but he didn’t turn his attention away from the match that was currently happening. Another reason why he liked to watch matches live was so that he could learn from watching the professionals play and he wasn’t going to let anyone, not even Jasmine, ruin the experience for him.

Eventually Auxerre started to get a footing in the match. After dealing with a couple more scares from Monaco, they started to create chances and were even settling into the ga. They even managed to test the Monaco goalkeeper a couple of tis, scaring the ho fans.

In the twenty fifth minute, the tide of the match suddenly changed. Auxerre were starting to dominate proceedings a bit, which was why what happened seed so fast and sudden.

Lamine Camara made a tackle in the middle of the pitch, ending an Auxerre attack. His midfield partner, Dennis Zakaria managed to get to the ball first and sent a long pass to Mika Biereth. Biereth was pushed from behind by an Auxerre center back but he managed to get the ball under control with his first touch and sent a well tid through ball behind him, to the right flank where Aliouche was making a run.

Aliouche took the ball in his stride, and set himself up for a shot. When he entered the box, he made no mistake and put his shot into the bottom corner of the far post, putting Monaco ahead in the match.
