"Fuck you man". George said to Tyler as the trio lay on the ground, panting heavily. "Next ti you want to kill yourself, I’ve decided that I won’t accompany you".

"Why are you whining?" Tiago said. "We all did the exact sa thing and you don’t see complaining".

"Maybe that’s because I was with the matchday squad". George said as he sat up and stared at his legs, trying to will himself to get back at his feet.

Tyler chuckled when he heard George’s reply to Tiago. "You know that you can’t get tired from sitting on the bench, right?"

Tiago burst into laughter when he heard Tyler’s comnt, while George had a bitter smile on his face. "I admit I brought that upon myself".

"Yeah, you did". Tiago nodded.

The three youngsters sat on the grass for about ten minutes, before slowly getting back to their feet.

George called his mom to co and get him, while Tyler and Tiago had to drag themselves back to their respective abodes. Well, Tiago had to drag himself. Once again, thanks to the system’s hellish training thods, Tyler had built a bit of a resistance from fatigue. He was also tired and had an aching body, but he reacted better to it than the other two players that were with him.

When Tyler got back to his apartnt, he spent quite a bit of ti in his bath tub, just allowing his sore muscles to recover. After that, he climbed out and went to his bed, falling asleep almost imdiately.

He woke up early the next morning, and then went to have a bath and wore his clothes before beginning his journey to the performance center. He didn’t want to do his morning exercise, and lucky for him, the system didn’t bother him with it either.

When he got to the performance center, there were already quite a few players warming up. Tyler went straight to the locker room, and changed to his training wear and was about to leave the room when soone shoved him back inside.

"You son of a bitch!" George shouted as he walked towards his locker, and offloaded his things. "My legs were fucking killing yesterday night!"

"And they’re fine now?" Tyler raised an eyebrow.

"I honestly can’t tell if it’s the adrenaline or not". George said as he started changing. "Bottomline is, leave out of your suicide missions next ti".

"You were the one that begged to co with t my suicide mission this ti". Tyler said slowly.

"Well, the next ti I beg, don’t answer ". George hissed as he put on his football boots and stepped outside with Tyler. Tyler started warming up with the rest of the first team players that had already arrived while George lazily jogged around, not doing anything, but at the sa ti not wanting to seem idle.

A few minutes later, the rest of the team arrived, and then Adi Hutter blew his whistle and summoned everyone to the center of the main training pitch, standing in the middle of their small enclosent.

"Alright boys, our next match is a tough away trip during the mid week, against Nantes. They’re going to test us, and throw everything they have at us, but we’re going to be ready for them". Adi started.

"Today, we’re going to be focusing on several things, all focused on Nullifying the opposition. We know how they play; fluid quick passes, quick movents to disorient their opposition and they strike quickly before you even know what’s happening with the use of exciting and electrifying wingers like Moses Simon".

"If we want to get past them, we have to turn their strengths into weakness, we have to close them down, and lock down every passing lane. Force them wide and slow down their rhythm so we will be transitioning from a 4-3-3 to a compact, mid-block 5-2-3 in defense. We’re going to have two 8’s and a 6 that will drop between the two center backs to form the back three".

The players listened as he talked, pointing out the flaws that he had noticed from watching Nantes’ previous gas, also highlighting bad player habits and weaknesses.

After he finished briefing the players, he divided them into four groups, according to their positions, and trained them individually. The midfielders focused on organized pressing and transitioning to different midfield shapes based on the state of the ga. They also focused on quick one-two passes to move the ball from back to front very quickly.

The defenders focused on organized defending and protecting the penalty box while defending against quick and unexpected through-balls, with the aim of limiting their opposition to wonder balls attempt. They couldn’t score if they couldn’t create any chance.

The forwards anwhile worked on scoring those counter chances. Using a lot of cones and training dummies, the assistant coaches managed to simulate various in match scenarios that could arrive on the counter and made the forwards focus on putting the ball in the back of the net, most tis being constrained to a specific number of touches.

After the team finished all their training, Adi Hutter called them all together and addressed them, saying that they would still need to prepare further for their match against Nantes in the coming days.

When training was over, Tyler collapsed on the floor and started panting heavily. It wasn’t that the training was strenuous, it was that he was still recovering from what Adrien put him through the previous day. While he was still gasping for air, soone crouched beside him. He turned and saw that it was Takumi Minamino.

"Hey, you have to get up now". Minamino said. "You’re trying to get into the first team so you can’t show the manager that you’re weak. Get up and stand for the rest of training, and then you can lay down for as long as you want".

After Minamino finished talking, he stood up and stretched out his hand to help Tyler up. Tyler smiled and took his teammate’s hand.

"Thanks". Tyler muttered to Minamino after the latter pulled him up. Minamino nodded slowly and walked away.

After a quick look around, Tyler found that George was also on the floor, tired and panting for air. Adrien was also looking amusedly at Tiago who was struggling to keep up. Adrien turned his head and locked gazes with Tyler, then smiled and started walking over.

"This is what I was afraid of when you asked for extra training". Adrian said. "I like the fact that you’re hardworking and want to improve. Not a lot of youngsters are like that. But you need to know when to rest and when to train. Recovery days are for recovery. Use them to recover".

Tyler nodded when Adrian was talking. It was like the coach said, he needed to know when to rest and when to dive headfirst into training.

"I’ll keep that in mind" Tyler said.

"Wilson, I need to have a word with you". Adi Hutter called Tyler over as soon as Adrian finished talking with him.

Tyler, using whatever little energy he had left, jogged over to where Adi Hutter was standing.

"Yes coach?"

"I saw your performance in the match against Saint-Malo". Adi Hutter began. "To say I was anything other than impressed would be a lie. It was your first match against grown, professional footballers and sohow you managed to make them look like amateurs instead. It was a statent performance".

"Thanks coach". Tyler said with a smile as he tried to hide his excitent.

’If the gaffer is calling here to tell all these things, does that an that he wants to add to the matchday squad? I could accomplish the system mission earlier than ever and potentially have my debut in a few days!’

While Tyler was having his exciting thoughts, Adi Hutter started talking, and as if he could hear all what Tyler was thinking, he addressed his thoughts.

"I’m sure you’re probably thinking that I’ll call you to the matchday squad, but I’m sorry to burst your bubble, you’ll have to do more than that to earn your call up. I’m here to tell you in advance that you’ll playing with the B team again this midweek so you won’t travel with us as their match will be at ho".

"But don’t be discouraged, because I will be watching this match as it’ll take place before the first team travels so you have another chance to wow and impress and make question my decisions". Adi Hutter said. "Just because I think you’re not ready doesn’t an you aren’t. I could be wrong but I won’t know that if you don’t prove wrong. So I need you to channel whatever sort of anger and frustration that you’re feeling to the opponent and make them suffer for my misjudgnt. Go and prove wrong and then co and rub it in my face that I was wrong. Do you understand?!"

"Yes coach". Tyler replied, feeling fired up and full of energy. The fatigue he was feeling a few monts earlier was nowhere to be found.

"Alright, you’re dismissed".

Tyler nodded, and went to join George and Tiago who were headed for the locker room.
