As she ventured deeper into the cave, Mo Rou thought of encountering the lingering presence of a ghost. To her astonishnt, there was not a single trace of the ghosts she had sensed before. Confusion filled her voice as she muttered, "What happened? Where did all those ghosts go?"
A surge of shock jolted through her, compelling Mo Rou to swiftly retreat from the cave's depths. Determination flared within her as she hurried in the direction where Ye Kai had vanished. For hours she searched, her relentless pursuit unyielding even as the sun began to rise. Yet, Ye Kai left her grasp despite her efforts, leaving no trace behind.
"Where did he go? Did the earth swallow him whole, or did the sky devour him?" Mo Rou sighed in exasperation, feeling the weight of his disappearance. Nonetheless, the absence of the ghosts, coupled with Ye Kai appearing and disappearing, made her sure that Ye Kai had so sort of connection behind the ghost's disappearance.
Mo Rou, not having any lead for Ye Kai, decide to go back to her house. However, before going back, she checked the cave again, and not finding any ghosts, she went back to her house.
"It's good if the ghost disappeared from the world, but if he captures the ghosts," Mo Rou sighed, "I hope he won't use the ghost in the wrong way if he capture them."
