Chapter 130: Experts!
In the temporary garrison of the Military Departnt on Tianming, Jin Wei was standing in a square with a group of soldiers.
He just received a ssage which asked him to welco a big shot who would arrive soon.
An officer next to Jin Wei asked curiously, “General, who was sent here this ti?”
“He is from the Royal Academy just like , but he is much more distinguished than I am. He is the strongest and most brilliant student in the history of the Royal Academy, and I’m only a third-rate graduate.” Jin Wei couldn’t help but sighed.
“The strongest genius in the history of the Royal Academy?” The officer thought for a mont and exclaid, “Guan Jieying!”
“That’s right!” Jin Wei nodded his head. “Guan Jieying has been training his disciple in the headquarters of the Military Departnt. He decided to bring his disciple here and fight for the space gem for us.”
The officers nodded their heads; they knew it well.
Guan Jieying was not an officer in the Military Departnt, although most of the excellent graduates of the Royal Academy, who were all nobles, would be appointed by the Military Departnt as senior officers.
The lieutenant generals and people of higher ranks were exclusively nobles.
It was even safe to say that the Military Departnt had been controlled by nobles since its establishnt, and common folk could only serve as soldiers and had no chance of promotion.
Wang Tianyi was the only exception: he beca a commander in the Military Departnt.
Years ago, the nobles, seeing Guan Jieying’s remarkable talents, held a match with the title of commander as an award, so that Guan Jieying would beco a justifiable commander and a legend among nobles.
All the nobles thought that Guan Jieying would make it, but Wang Tianyi appeared out of nowhere and crushed everybody else in the Royal Academy.
So, Wang Tianyi and those nobles were destined to be at odds since that mont.
Of course, the two parties had attempted to reconcile, which was why Wang Hao was admitted by the Royal Academy.
However, the nobles couldn’t forget their humiliation. After Wang Tianyi went missing, they couldn’t wait to kick his son out of the Royal Academy.
“All of you, pull yourselves together and don’t forget your manners in front of Guan Jieying,” said Jin Wei.
Although Guan Jieying did not have a title, everybody knew that Wang Tianyi’s position would be his as long as he asked for it.
For seven years, Wang Tianyi’s position had been vacant, not because the nobles were waiting for Wang Tianyi to return, but because the position was saved for Guan Jieying.
So, pleasing Guan Jieying ant pleasing a future commander. It was too tempting for Jin Wei, who was only a lieutenant general.
“Yes, sir!” The officers hurried to salute.
Soon, a moderately sized spaceship landed, and Guan Jieying and Li Yunyang got off.
“Mr. Guan, you are just as elegant as ever!” Jin Wei hurried to greet them.
In the anti, Jin Wei observed Guan Jieying, who was no different from years back. But the young man next to him was young and vigorous and seed like a remarkable genius.
“As elegant as ever?” said Guan Jieying with a self-mocking smile. Could he be the sa after he lost to Wang Tianyi?
Jin Wei smiled in embarrassnt. He had done a horrible job pleasing the newcor.
“Report!” A soldier rushed to them and said, “General, the space gem has appeared in the safe area!”
“In the safe area?” Jin Wei was stunned. The safe area was the last place he expected the space gem to show up in.
“We got here right on ti!” Guan Jieying smiled and soared to the sky with Li Yunyang.
“A Martial Emperor!”
The soldiers looked at Guan Jieying, who was flying away, with wide eyes.
“As expected of the most brilliant genius in the history of the Royal Academy.” Jin Wei heaved a sigh. He was slightly older than Guan Jieying, but Guan Jieying was already a Martial Emperor while he beca a Martial King only recently. The disparity was too huge!
“Why are you still here? Get on board and go after them!” Jin Wei shouted and got in his spaceship, chasing Guan Jieying.
...
In the safe area, Wang Hao still did not make up his mind to use Heaven Burier.
He was afraid that the guys of the Military Departnt would jump out after he used Heaven Burier.
Although his life was in no danger as long as Bing Qiao was here, Bing Qiao might claim the space gem herself if he were to ask for her help.
“Huh... an expert is coming!” Le Xuan furrowed her brow and looked at the horizon, sensing a magnificent aura.
“It’s a Martial Emperor!” Xia Weiwei was solemn. She could not think of anything other than a Martial Emperor who could move so fast in the sky.
“He’s coming from the garrison of the Military Departnt.” Sweat dripped from Chen Yao’s forehead. He would be lying if he said that he was not scared of the Military Departnt.
As they talked, Guan Jieying and Li Yunyang arrived at the safe area.
“They’re Guan Jieying and Li Yunyang!” Le Xuan was surprised to see them here.
“Hey!” Xia Weiwei nudged Le Xuan and teased, “Do you think Li Yunyang will go crazy if he notices that you’re with Wang Hao?”
Qian Wanyang and Chen Yao were both interested. Were the three of them in a love triangle?
“Put down the space gem, and I promise that you can leave safely, or you will all die!” declared Guan Jieying calmly and softly, but it was so threatening that it seed anyone who refused would be killed right away.
“A Martial Emperor!”
Everybody looked at Guan Jieying floating in midair and stepped back in instinctive fear.
A man regretfully glanced at the space gem in his hand, before he put it on the ground obediently.
“Haha, Guan Jieying, we knew that a loser like you would be here...”
Followed by a laugh, three muscular n erged from the sky. They were also floating, aning that they too were Martial Emperors.
“Xiong Da, Xiong Er, and Xiong San, from the Sky Bear Company!” everybody exclaid.
The Sky Bear Company had only been established for a decade, but its three leaders had all beco Martial Emperors. It was a rather powerful force within the Guild of Adventurers.
In the anti, everybody looked at Guan Jieying in shock. Was he the strongest genius in the history of the Royal Academy?
