Ma Lu had often played Red Ridge before, but it was always on the console, using the screen, where every character would have their na displayed above their heads, and the players' IDs were usually very flamboyant, so they were easy to recognize.
Moreover, with the new skin just released, the world was full of Blood Demon skins, making it even easier to identify.
However, the player in front of Ma Lu didn't have an ID over his head, nor did he have a skin, although he had ntioned that he had bought one, but for so reason, it wasn't showing.
Also, instead of having conversation boxes pop up over his head, it had turned into sothing like telepathy.
Noticing so many abnormalities, Ma Lu was already having a foreboding feeling.
anwhile, the skeleton was circling him 360 degrees, appreciating him from different angles, and would even pause suddenly in between,
likely using the ga's built-in tools to take screenshots, and not forgetting to exclaim once more at the end.
"It looks so much like him, exactly like in reality, even that slightly annoying deanor is perfectly replicated. I'm going to post this on the forum for everyone to see."
"Hey, wait a minute."
Ma Lu wanted to stop the player, but the skeleton had already stopped responding and was standing there quietly, resembling an instructor in a dical college.
He obviously was the impatient sort, having left the ga to post on the forum right after saying that.
Initially, Ma Lu planned to stand there and wait for him to co back; he had many questions to ask.
But in less than half a minute, a goblin suddenly appeared in his field of view.
Ma Lu glanced at the goblin, then looked at the goblin corpse on the ground, noting they both had blue skin.
He thought, could it be that the family had co knocking?
The player, thrilled to post on the forum, even picked an explosive title to attract more clicks—Shocking! Soone has actually traveled into the ga!
He then uploaded three photos of Ma Lu he had taken.
It wasn't long before there were responses below:
—Wow! There's actually a human in this creepy ga, and isn't that, uh... Boss Ma?
—Fake at first sight, obviously photoshopped, boring, let's disperse, folks.
The player who had encountered Ma Lu got upset when he saw this and typed:
—Who says it's Photoshopped? This is Boss Ma, the real deal, the one I t in the ga, I took photos imdiately and posted them for everyone to see.
—Keep pretending.
Another comnt from below followed.
—We have all seen Boss Ma; he's just like us, a skeleton, only with better gear, and he seems to have a purple bone. Usually, the screen glows purple, and if it's not him, it's that Random Beat nearby.
—I was also very puzzled, but it was really him! And it was not his account; it was his person. I guess the project team made a special arrangent for him, giving him a separate skin to use.
The player who had t Ma Lu was anxious, typing a lengthy ssage, then paused and added.
—But it could also be a non-player character; I got too excited and didn't have ti to talk to him. I just took the photos and rushed to the forum.
—An NPC is even less likely, Boss Ma in casual wear does not match the ga's setting at all.
Another player comnted.
—Ugh, why won't you believe ? Wait till I get back to the ga and record a clip to show you.
The player who encountered Ma Lu dropped this line and switched back to the ga.
The other players in the thread were waiting for his new evidence, but what they received instead was his scream of agony.
—Aaaaah!! How did I die?! I've been nurturing this account for over half a month, and I even had two top-grade green bones on , which took so long to get, aaaaaah!! KA4%&8E02
The string of gibberish that followed was probably him rolling his face on the keyboard, clearly very frustrated.
—No way, tomorrow I need to go to the restaurant and demand an explanation from Boss Ma, how could he take advantage of my offline mont to PK and steal my bones! That's just despicable!
On the 67th floor, a player comnted.
—It might not have been Boss Ma, he has plenty of good bones himself, he probably wouldn't covet yours, and you've been playing for over half a month, you're no newbie. Don't you know not to log off in the wild?
—But there were no wild monsters around , and Boss Ma was there too. I just went to post on the forum, it didn't take long. If I encountered a monster, Boss Ma should've been able to protect , right?
—Hard to say, look at his outfit, it looks like he was planning to attend a yacht party. Does that look like soone who could protect you?
—It's just a skin, it doesn't affect the stats.
—Didn't you say it might have been an NPC?
Everyone was still here discussing and guessing whether this casually dressed Ma Lu was a Photoshopped image.
Suddenly, soone on the 99th floor got excited
—Where did you spot Boss Ma?
—Why, are you planning on respawning and sending him a wave of kills?!
—No, you guys log into the ga now, check the announcents, the system just popped up an ergency quest nad "Rescue Boss Ma."

Players who had been aimlessly browsing the forum logged into their ga accounts in a hurry.
Indeed, they found an additional quest in their quest log, which was highlighted in bold and red.

This task from top to bottom emitted a sense of abstraction, what does it an by Boss Ma coming to inspect the work? He's just a small restaurant boss, how does he end up inspecting in the Abyss?
And aren't magic circles supposed to be crafted by formidable Witch Demons, Bone Dragons, and Black Wizards? Why bla a poor artist for it?
We're all adults here, and we know that everything in the ga is created by the developnt team. But isn't the imrsion what makes gaming fun? Red Ridge actually does a decent job on the details.
The server has been live for over a month now, and detail enthusiasts have scoured much of the ga's lore and settings, finding no conflicts, with many details even reinforcing each other, which is truly comndable.
It's clear that the project team has put effort into crafting this virtual world, so why would they suddenly stop performing?
Or maybe the project team thought that abstract culture was quite popular online recently and decided to give everyone an abstract task to liven up the atmosphere.
Although the task was sowhat poorly designed, upon seeing the incredibly generous rewards offered, everyone had only one thought left in their minds—save Boss Ma!!!
