[3rd POV]
After driving for a few minutes, the two had gotten to the Kent family farm. Getting out of the truck, the two were t by Clark and Lois. Sothing that got Kara to breathe in ever so slightly, as this was the first ti she had properly t the man in this world.
Walking up the stairs to the house, Talia stretched out her hand "It's nice to formally et you, Clark. I'm Talia and this is Kara" Talia said, as she greeted the man of steel himself, albeit, his undercover self.
"It's nice to et you too, Talia, Kara. Lois has talked a lot about the good you've been doing at the gazette, and I really appreciate it" Clark said, shaking her hand with a smile, before doing the sa with Kara.
"It's not a problem, Clark, really. Now, why don't we get in there and start talking about this inverse society?" Talia said, causing them both to nod, as they all walked into the house. It wasn't as large as her own, but it was still decently large, and had an upstairs too.
Walking into Lois's office, the two were t by a small board of what looked to be information, evidence, and various hypothesis.
Looking over the board, Talia humd 'Not bad, considering the info she had, this is way better than I was expecting. She's definitely missing out on so big information, but nothing I don't know about. What they are missing though, is enough evidence to actually put her away for good. Most of this stuff is easily coverable and sothing any rich person could get rid of easy enough' Talia thought, looking over the evidence silently, Kara doing the
sa.
'It's sorta...incomplete? Needs more evidence for any sort of legal action to be possible' Kara thought with a sigh, knowing that this would be more work than she anticipated.
"So? How's it look so far?" Lois asked, causing Kara and Talia to glance at one another.
"Well it's good so far, but..." Kara trailed off, with Lois cutting in.
"But what?"
"It needs more evidence, Lois. There's not enough here for us to be able to bring this to the police" Talia said, causing Lois to frown, with Clark asking the next question.
"Isn't eyewitness testimony enough?" Clark asked, knowing that usually that worked against stuff like this.
"Normally? Yes, absolutely. But in this case? No" Talia replied, shaking her head, before continuing.
"And that is entirely because Lois's source has went against her. aning, no matter what sort of evidence you get, it won't matter much when the source of it all, is saying it was fake, or forced. And even then, most of this evidence is...circumstantial at best, and can't really be tied back to her, not with all the controversy regarding your initial article about them. What we need is sothing concrete, like a video recording of her committing so sort of cri, or sothing along those lines" Talia explained, before continuing again.
"And a recording of her doing one of her classes won't work, as, as weird as it is, it won't seem illegal, only weird. And that sort of thing is a one way ticket to more people becoming interested in the cult, and joining it, increasing the problem more and more" Talia finished, causing Lois to sigh.
"Yeah...that's what I thought too. I just...hoped this would be one of the easy ones" Lois said with a sigh, knowing this would be difficult, entirely because of the way Ally Allston does everything, and the fact that Lucy, her own sister, has betrayed her for the woman.
"What sort of information do you have? You said you had so more for us" Clark asked, causing Talia to glance at Kara and nod.
"Um, well. First of all, we found that Ally Allston mostly gets her recruitnt from depressed people without hope on the dark web. Which I'm sure you already knew. But, we also found out that she's after this amulet thing, as it will, from what we've gathered "rge" her with her other self from so...Bizarre world. Through this, she'll basically beco a God. And while she says she wants to do this for everyone, I'm sure you can guess that she won't be doing that" Kara said, causing them to sigh and nod.
"Yeah not surprising. She definitely seems like the type to have so godhood idea or so crap. Why is it all cult leaders are set on world domination or sothing completely bonkers? Can't there be a sowhat normal one for once?" Lois asked, causing Talia to snort.
"Yeah right. If they weren't crazy then they wouldn't be called cults. But yeah, it would be nice if at least a couple of them weren't completely psycho"
"So how do we plan on getting the evidence needed to get her behind bars?" Clark asked, Talia humd at that, and thought for a few monts.
'Getting evidence should be easy enough, it's just the matter of getting it legally that is the issue. As if I don't get it in a legal way, then I can't really use it to get her put behind bars. Sothing like a recording should work easy enough, as long as I send it to the proper authorities, they'll be able to take care of the rest. But, at the sa ti, I want to absorb her power. But...I guess that power is more so from the amulets or whatever, so I should theoretically be able to just absorb the amulets power. Better yet, couldn't I take it for myself, and a copy will appear in the Gate? Definitely testing that one later' Talia thought with a hum, before replying.
"Honestly? The easiest way would be to get it through spying on her. As while illegal, we can hand it over to certain officials that can deal with it, even if the video itself wasn't gained in a legal way. The other ways we can go about this are just bankrupting her, which is sothing I can do, but is also not very legal. We can try to get one of her cultists to leave and talk with us, but that has the risk of going how it did with the first one. I an, there's a few ways we can go about this. As long as the woman doesn't get both those amulets, then we should be fine" Talia replied after a few monts of thought, causing them to raise eyebrows at the ntion of a less legal idea.
"Probably not the best idea to break laws in order to out her. But, the spying idea is probably the best one that out of the bunch. Even if it's illegal, like you said, the proper authorities will still look into it, and realize she's up to so shady crap" Lois said after hearing what Talia had said.
Looking between the two, Talia raised an eyebrow, before speaking.
"So, what's the plan then?"

Basically another talking chapter that's pretty chill. There's a lot of that in this arc, lol.
Next chapter should be a bit better, but it will have so leveling and such, so idk.
