Dylan was flabbergasted to see Ranon Leighton co to his house. He had been trying to get to him with whatever ans that he could think of, even to the point of using his own little sister, but none of them worked.

He had been keeping tabs on this man ever since he took over Gallahan Leighton's seat as the president of the Leighton company three years ago, when the company was on the brink of bankruptcy, and this man managed to pull off a remarkable coback.

But now, after all his efforts, this man eventually walked into his house willingly.

"About the proposal..."

"I am not here to talk about the proposal," Ranon cut him off. "I want to see your sister, Hazel Rose."

Dylan was surprised, he thought his plan had fallen apart miserably and sohow, his sister and Ranon could escape their predicant, but then why did he co to his house looking for his sister now?

There was this slight furrow between Dylan's brows that didn't go unnoticed by Ranon.

"May I know what this is about? Did my sister offend you sohow, Mr. Leighton."

"This is about business."

"Business?" Dylan raised his brows, but he didn't pry further, as he ordered soone to call for Hazel. He rarely saw that girl and because she didn't show any sign of distress, he assud his plan didn't work.

However, it took them an hour of waiting before she finally appeared. During this one hour of ti, Dylan tried to make small talks with Ranon, about the business or any other topic that could pique Ranon's interest, but to no avail.

"Is her room in a different part of this city?" Ranon cut Dylan off when he talked about expanding their business to the Gharand city, which was five cities from here.

"I will look for her myself," Dylan said, as he could feel Ranon's impatience. He didn't want to upset him and ruin this unexpected, yet awaited eting.

But, before he could go and find Hazel, soone knocked on the door and she entered at the sa ti as Dylan told her to co in.

She was wearing a simple white shirt and pajama pants, with her hair coiled on top of her head. She didn't wear any makeup and looked fresh, aside from the eye bags under her eyes.

"Yes? I heard you called for ?" Hazel asked.

Ranon was surprised to see her again, especially in this simple outfit, she looked hoy and comfortable, but Dylan didn't have the sa impression, he frowned so hard.

"You know you will et a guest, what kind of clothes are you wearing?"

Hazel glanced at Ranon. Well, this man had seen her naked, should she not wear any clothes then?

"I just woke up. Should I take a bath and get changed to a more proper attire?" River asked innocently.

It took her an hour to co here with that appearance, how many hours would it take for her to return to her bedroom, take a bath, choose her clothes and then do her makeup to look presentable and finally co back again?

Ranon would have to stay here for dinner if they let her leave now.

"No. I don't mind with your clothes. They look good on you," Ranon said, but River could feel there was a hidden aning behind his simple words. "Can I have a private conversation with your sister?"

"Sure."

Surprisingly, Dylan didn't make it hard, as he left them alone without any questions. He closed the door behind him and River approached Ranon, her back to the door, staring at the garden from the window.

"There is a surveillance cara here." River had checked the whole house at night and knew where all the CCTV caras in this house were, since Hazel's mory about this kind of thing was not helping at all.

Ranon understood, he stood next to her, staring out there, having his back facing the door.

"So, why are you looking for ?" River asked, even though she knew the gist of his questions. For him to co to the Rose family house, this man must be very curious about her.

"You know the question I want to ask you."

"I am not a mind reader." River yawned, she really wanted to sleep again. Earlier, she had refused to co, but the maid urged her to get up and wash her face, or else, Dylan would be livid.

"How do you know there is soone who wants to kill a mber of the Leighton family?"

"I can't tell you that. You can say I have connections."

Ranon glanced at her. "As soone as smart as you, you must know that I ca here because I couldn't find anything about you."

"What? The information that you managed to gather about is not enough to satisfy your curiosity?" River glanced at him, there was this mischievous smile on the corner of her lips.

"Let's say I know your bra size, but I can't figure out how you are connected to the Lozen family. Information about you didn't make any sense."

River scrunched her nose. "You sound like a pervert."

"Stalker maybe, pervert no."

River made a face. How could he say that easily and not be offended at all?

"So? Is your information legit?"

"Of course." River crossed her arms in front of her chest. "Let's treat that as my repaynt for taking too much of your money."

"I have given you important information too, so you still owe ." Ranon was being petty.

River sighed. "If you ca here only to figure out where I got the information from, I am sorry to disappoint you, but if you ca here to do business with , count in."

This was a very bold request, but after River thought about it, it would be faster to get to her family, destroy those people, who had wronged her, with the help of Ranon Leighton. This man was her Joker.

"Business?" Ranon smirked. He liked her bluntness. "What do you want?"
