"Where is Mommy hurt?" Jude checked for quite so ti but found nothing, feeling frustrated.

Actually, she wasn’t hurt anywhere, but seeing the little worried and caring face of the little one, Seraphina suddenly wanted to act cute, puckering her lips and speaking weakly, "My arm hurts—"

Jude fell for it instantly, becoming alard, climbing onto the bed, standing beside Seraphina, putting Seraphina’s head on his shoulder, gently patting her while coaxing, "Mommy, be good, it doesn’t hurt, it doesn’t hurt."

Seraphina felt unusually warm and amused inside, couldn’t help but turn her head to kiss Jude’s little cheek.

Just then, the door suddenly opened, and Desmond Fairchild walked in looking serious. "Seraphina Sinclair—"

Jude stared at the door in surprise, wondering what Daddy was up to, seed like he was about to trouble Mommy?

Seraphina was displeased, thinking, why, coming to trouble her so soon?

"Jude, go out." Desmond commanded coldly.

Seeing the situation wasn’t right, Jude set his face, jumped off the bed, stood in front of Seraphina, spreading his arms wide like a mother hen protecting her chick.

"No way, you’ll bully Mommy when I’m gone!"

Desmond swung his big hand, grabbing the collar on Jude’s back to lift him out, Jude struggled in midair but was ultimately shut outside by Desmond.

"What are you doing, picking on a child?" Seraphina scolded angrily.

To her surprise, Desmond actually lowered his head and apologized, "Sorry, I didn’t know she’d co here."

She was a bit stunned, although she had "kept" this man, usually he acted high and mighty, never so compliant like today, did he eat sothing wrong today?

"Don’t worry, I’ll be mindful of these in the future, no one will bother you again." Desmond frowned, thinking she was unhappy, quickly explained, since it was his fault, he was sincerely apologetic.

Ever since the incident with Sue, he had replaced the people at Azure Cloud Shores with those from the old mansion, yet there were still risks, after all, Morgan Fairchild was part of The Fairchild Family, they naturally dared not say much.

Seraphina said no more, looked at his passionate eyes, nodded sowhat unnaturally, "Hmm, you can leave, I need to rest early."

Desmond initially wanted to say more, but seeing Seraphina’s disinterest, he said "Goodnight" and turned to leave.

Unexpectedly, elsewhere, Morgan Fairchild returned to the old mansion tearily with an injured hand, crying to Old Mrs. Fairchild.

It was nothing but complaints about Desmond having a girlfriend outside, and disrespecting his aunt, Old Mrs. Fairchild knew her daughter’s character well, listening with furrowed brows.

Lately, she had been frequently in contact with her grandson, naturally knowing what kind of person Seraphina was, able to teach her great-grandson so well alone, she must be kind.

Having Morgan cause such a fuss, she really worried Seraphina might misunderstand their family, or beco unwilling to marry Desmond.

Seeing Old Mrs. Fairchild’s silence, Morgan beca even more unsatisfied, "Mom! Why aren’t you saying anything! Ever since his dad left, Desmond’s been increasingly disrespectful to our people, if this continues..."

But before she could finish, Old Mrs. Fairchild interrupted sternly, "Shut up! Whether your company operates or not is the sa, as it’s losing money anyway, you have three percent shares in Cloudsea Group, the dividends are enough for you, if you trouble Seraphina again, not just Desmond, even I won’t spare you!"

After saying, she turned and left, went upstairs to text Jude about Seraphina’s situation, and advised Jude not to be polite to Morgan next ti.

Jude quickly replied holding his phone, contemplating on his little bed, muttering, "Great-grandma seems quite sensible, looks like Mommy won’t face grievances due to these relations when she marries over in the future..."

Ti flies quickly, and the party day arrived.

Seraphina wore a burgundy off-shoulder evening gown, with a fishtail design at the hem, highlighting her graceful figure flawlessly. Her hair was casually fastened, with a few strands falling, exuding an ethereal aloofness.

Especially when she suddenly turned back and smiled, many male guests gasped in admiration, their eyes showing amazent.

Jude held Seraphina’s hand beside her, seeing those gazes, his little face was sour, he wished he had insisted on bringing Dad along today, let’s see if they dare covet Mommy then!

All this was witnessed by lanie Lloyd from the second floor, her eyes reddened with jealousy.

Hmph, these years, just like before, she’s indeed as cheap as ever, loves seducing everywhere!

Ethan Lloyd happened to be beside, seeing lanie’s reaction, slowly approached, "You don’t look well, what happened?"

Finishing, he slightly shook the glass of red wine in his hand, looking down the direction she glanced, seeing nothing.

"Nothing, just a headache." She turned her face away.

Kevin was quite popular recently, lots of people knew Seraphina, all coming to toast.

Jude couldn’t stay put, told Seraphina he was going to eat sothing, then disappeared.

After several glasses of wine, Seraphina felt dizzy, headed towards the restroom but was drawn into a room at a corner.

Her consciousness was hazy by then, felt like falling into a hot furnace, her whole body heating up, wanting to strip herself bare.

"So hot—so hot—" Her eyes dazed, fell into the white bed, her little hands restless with her clothes.

Her skin as milky white jade, revealing glimpses of allure under the dress, her slender waist hiding a pair of long legs, silently emitting a tempting invitation.

Simply a heavenly beauty, captivating the soul.

"No, I have to leave—" Sensing sothing amiss, she gritted her teeth, forcefully knocking her head to stay awake.

anwhile, Jude just finished a small cake, turned around to find Mommy missing, frowned.

Circled a glance, noticed a waiter sneakily conversing with lanie Lloyd, whispering sothing before leaving.

Jude felt puzzled, deliberately got close, took out his phone and dialed Seraphina’s cell, hearing it ring from that man.

The waiter didn’t answer, impatiently hung up instead.

This is bad! Mommy must be set up!

Jude inwardly panicked, quickly called Desmond, "Dad, co back quickly, Mommy is missing!"

Seraphina, anwhile, struggled to stand, each step heavy, fiercely bit her tongue again, trying to awaken her nerves for clarity.

"Get ready, the goods tonight are superb, they say!" A greasy voice echoed outside, followed by the unlocking of the door.

"Haha, this Miss Lloyd is really nice, granting us tips and allowing us to enjoy such beauty, simred!"

Seraphina hearing this, clenched her fists, deeply suppressing anger and hatred between her brows.

Miss Lloyd? Who other than lanie!

Now, urgent matters must be addressed!

"Hiss~" The tallic taste of fresh blood filled her mouth as she once more tore her tongue, doors and windows locked securely, it seed difficult to fly away even with wings.

Thinking this, she hurriedly dragged a massive cabinet to the door, though halfway through she weakened, nearly collapsing.

Passing this hurdle, everything would be alright! Seraphina tried calming herself, not wanting to experience helpless panic like before, although she’d tried hard to strengthen herself these past five years, that incident left heavy shadows, causing her to wake in fright from midnight dreams.

With this thought, she mustered all her strength to blockade the door.

After completing all of this, she did not slacken, instead stood again, continuing to seek escape routes.
