When Seraphina Sinclair reconciled with him, she also said there should never be any deception in the future.
In fact, Seraphina had already guessed so of Old Mrs. Fairchild’s situation, and even if Desmond Fairchild didn’t say anything, she would eventually find out.
"Aunt Seraphina, you’re back?" As soon as Seraphina stepped into the Azure Cloud Shores Villa, Polo ran out happily to greet her.
"Has Polo been good today? Have you been behaving well at ho?" Cecelia Sinclair affectionately ruffled Polo’s hair.
"I’ve been so good, even Chloe praised ." Polo bead, rubbing against Seraphina’s chest.
She missed Seraphina terribly, having not seen her all day.
With a loving smile, Seraphina traced her warm fingers across Polo’s cold little face, "Go put on your cute little dress. We’re going to stay at Great-grandma’s house for a few days."
"Great-grandma?" Polo looked puzzled, "Who is her grandma?"
Seraphina explained with a smile, "Great-grandma is the grandma who ca yesterday. She is your brother Jude’s great-grandma and yours too."
"Can Polo go? Will it be inappropriate?" Polo hesitated a little. Even though she’s young, she understands very well that she has no blood relation to Seraphina’s family.
No matter how kind they are to her, she feels like an outsider.
"Silly girl, we’re already family, why worry about appropriateness? From now on, you’re my daughter, visiting Great-grandma is perfectly normal."
Seraphina was quite aware of what Polo was thinking. This child had a pitiful background and was overly sensitive.
Only through continuous interaction would she gain a sense of security.
This is when Jude needs to step in.
Seraphina had realized, at ho Polo might not always heed her words, but Jude’s words, Polo would definitely listen to.
Sure enough, after Jude had just said a few words to Polo, she obediently packed her things and went to the Fairchild old residence with Seraphina.
On the way, Seraphina couldn’t help teasing Polo, "You little girl, since you listen to brother Jude so much, why not marry him when you grow up?"
Unexpectedly, hearing this, it wasn’t Polo but Jude who blushed slightly, "Mommy, what nonsense are you talking about? Polo and I are just kids, how can we joke about this?"
Seraphina realized it was indeed inappropriate to say such things in front of two children and quickly apologized, "I’m sorry, I didn’t think it through, it won’t happen again."
But at that mont, Polo shyly clasped her fingers and answered softly, "If brother is willing, when Polo grows up, she would like to marry brother and be his bride."
Hearing this, Seraphina laughed heartily, "Polo is truly adorable."
Jude’s face turned even redder, but he didn’t say anything further.
The family arrived at the Fairchild old residence. Seeing her great-grandchildren naturally made Old Mrs. Fairchild happy, and she imdiately called the two children to her side to ask about their well-being.
Though Polo wasn’t a Fairchild by blood, she didn’t feel neglected.
This greatly eased Polo’s previous tension.
Taking advantage of the mont, Seraphina quickly pulled Desmond into a room, asking him softly, "Did you check? Is there sothing wrong with grandma’s health?"
"Yes, I checked." Desmond furrowed his brows, his expression a bit serious.
"What’s the result?" Seraphina held her breath, the atmosphere instantly tense.
Desmond’s face was grave, and he remained silent in front of Seraphina.
Seeing his expression, Seraphina had already guessed most of it, "Is the result not good?"
"It’s Alzheir’s disease." Desmond sighed heavily, his mood sinking to rock bottom.
He never thought grandma would suffer from this illness, and the doctor told him there’s no cure for it.
Even Desmond found it hard to accept at first.
Much less Seraphina.
Upon hearing this news, Seraphina was stunned on the spot, mumbling to herself, "How can this be? Hasn’t grandma always been healthy? How could this happen?"
"Grandma’s health has indeed been good these past few years, but Alzheir’s isn’t caused by physical weakness. As long as soone is aged, they can develop Alzheir’s."
Desmond had been puzzled too, but after asking the doctors, he learned it was this way.
Seraphina gazed intently at Desmond, "So what do we do now? Is grandma aware of her condition?"
"Yes." Desmond forced a bitter smile. If she weren’t aware, she wouldn’t try to hide it.
"How do you treat this disease? Are there any special symptoms?" Seraphina didn’t know much about Alzheir’s, only that it’s dentia, but she was unclear about the specific symptoms.
"Grandma is currently in the mild stage, dication can control it. For now, there shouldn’t be major issues. But over ti, when dication no longer works, not only will her mory deteriorate rapidly, but she might also not recognize people anymore."
Desmond pressed Seraphina’s shoulder gently and spoke slowly.
Hearing this, Seraphina’s face turned even paler, "How can this be? Isn’t there any cure? You know so many people, are there no more skilled doctors? Money isn’t an issue, we must cure grandma."
"I will arrange for it, don’t worry." Desmond assured Seraphina not to think too much about it.
Seraphina nodded slightly, worrying wouldn’t help right now, it could only be dealt with one step at a ti.
Desmond’s family of four returned to live at the Fairchild old residence. Naturally, the old lady was overjoyed, although unaware of their intention, she still kindly hosted them.
"Is Polo just called Polo? What’s her surna, what’s her na? Doesn’t she have a proper na?" Old Mrs. Fairchild found it odd. While Polo’s na was cute, she was at the school-going age, she couldn’t always be called Polo, she needed a proper na.
Desmond and Seraphina had discussed this matter, but they hadn’t ntioned it to Polo yet.
So although Polo is just a child, changing her na still requires her consent.
Before Seraphina could speak, Polo chid in sweetly, "Great-grandma, since Polo beca aware, she hasn’t had a na. If great-grandma doesn’t mind, you can give Polo a na."
Polo’s words made Old Mrs. Fairchild even more fond of her, quickly comforting, "It’s okay, child, from now on, this is your ho, I’m your great-grandma. Since you said it, I’ll give you a na, shall I?"
"Okay! Polo will listen to everything great-grandma says." Polo gazed expectantly, unwaveringly at Old Mrs. Fairchild.
She was finally going to have her own na, a feeling indescribable surged in her heart.
She felt both touched and pained, and suddenly, her eyes turned misty, almost tearing up.
"From now on, she’ll be with..."
Before Old Mrs. Fairchild could finish, Seraphina spoke up, "Naturally, she’ll be with Desmond."
