"Of course, I believe you," Desmond Fairchild said with a gentle smile.

"Really?" Seraphina Sinclair seed sowhat doubtful.

Desmond imdiately expressed, "Naturally, if I didn’t believe you, how could I ask for reconciliation? It’s just that the issue with Keith Hughes must eventually be resolved."

Seraphina understood Desmond’s aning. She pursed her red lips and thought for a mont before saying, "You’re right, this matter indeed needs to be resolved quickly. I can’t let him waste more ti; I must clearly explain things to him."

"I believe you can resolve it," Desmond said in a soft voice.

"Since he’s asked to et, then I’ll go et him. It’s a perfect opportunity to clarify everything," Seraphina took a deep breath; what must co will co, better to resolve it sooner and find peace of mind.

Now that she and Desmond have reunited, she naturally can’t give Keith Hughes any more hope.

She continued drying her hair and said to Desmond, "Help reply to his ssage and tell him I agree to the eting."

Desmond raised an eyebrow, and after replying, he took the towel from Seraphina’s hand, gesturing for her to co a little closer.

He gently helped her dry her hair, his voice low and pleasant, "Do you want to accompany you?"

"No need, I can handle it myself," Seraphina refused without thinking. Bringing Desmond along would make it awkward for Keith Hughes, even though it would more directly make him understand there was no chance, it would be too hurtful.

Desmond didn’t respond; he trusted Seraphina and wouldn’t fuss over such matters.

The next afternoon, after a eting, Desmond sat in the conference room looking at his watch, a hint of danger in his slightly narrowed eyes.

Quentin Jennings, sitting beside him, showed an interested expression, "Just reconciled with your wife, and you’re already so eager to finish work and go ho to be with her?"

"Five o’clock, Keith Hughes has arranged to et her," Desmond looked at his watch again, seemingly very concerned about this eting.

"Keith Hughes arranged to et her? And you agreed? Aren’t you aware of his feelings for her, yet you feel assured letting them et?" Quentin looked at him incredulously, having never seen Desmond be so generous in matters of the heart.

Recalling when Desmond used to get jealous and angry over Seraphina’s few godsons, but now he’s changed? He trusts his wife to et a true rival in love?

Desmond’s lips curled slightly, and his dark eyes narrowed a bit, "Regarding Seraphina, I naturally trust her; what I’m worried about is Keith Hughes."

He has complete trust in Seraphina, but he knows Keith Hughes’ personality well. Even knowing they’ve reconciled, Keith Hughes may bless them face-to-face, but secretly he could be planning so tricks.

Seraphina is very simple in love, always being sincere towards those who treat her well, never using her wit on people around her; Keith Hughes, who hides daggers behind smiles, can easily handle soone as pure as Seraphina.

"I’m off work, handle the company’s matters wisely," thinking of this made Desmond restless, yearning to imdiately fly to the café where the two would et.

Quentin sighed helplessly, "Alright, I understand."

Clearly, when compared to work, a wife is everything; Eric Holt is on the rise, yet he remains seemingly unworried.

Despite him feeling anxious for his brother, on reflection, if the main character isn’t worried, why should he fret unnecessarily?

Inside the café at the street corner, the classical decor was unique, and the soothing violin music eased so weariness, making everyone more relaxed.

Desmond sat on the innermost sofa, holding a pure black coffee, focusing intently on the café’s door.

His position had an excellent view, clearly observing both the street outside and the door, yet it remained well-hidden and not easily noticed.

Once Seraphina and Keith Hughes entered, he could see everything clearly.

As thoughts drifted, Keith Hughes walked in the door, coincidentally choosing the seat right in front of him.

Desmond’s spot allowed him to clearly hear Keith Hughes’ voice, though a partition blocked his face; hearing was sufficient.

Their eting ti was set for precisely five o’clock, with ten minutes to spare, likely indicating Seraphina was on her way.

She was always punctual, typically arriving a few minutes early, so she was probably close.

As he pondered, Seraphina pushed the door open.

Seeing her arrive, Keith Hughes raised a hand in greeting, "Hello, fellow student, here."

Seraphina nodded with a small smile, quickly walking over, "Senior, long ti no see."

Although it was said to be a long ti, it was really only a few days, rely pleasantries, and Keith Hughes didn’t take it to heart.

"I wasn’t sure what you liked to drink, so I ordered you a cappuccino," Keith Hughes said just as the server brought coffee over.

Seraphina wasn’t particular about drinks; as long as it was drinkable, it was fine, mainly hoping to clarify things with Keith Hughes today.

She intended to directly express her purpose to Keith Hughes but was interrupted as soon as she opened her mouth.

"Here’s an invitation, it’s my grandfather’s seventieth birthday; I hope you can co," Keith Hughes spoke before Seraphina could, placing the invitation before her.

Holding the gold-embossed black invitation, Seraphina smiled, "Is this the reason for your invitation today? Why does Old Master Hughes want to invite to his birthday? I hardly have any connection with him; it seems unnecessary."

Old Master Hughes had retired from the comrcial sphere; she barely knew elder figures like him, and Kevin, compared to Hughes Family’s company, wasn’t particularly large; it seed odd for Old Master Hughes to personally extend an invitation to his birthday banquet.

Rumor has it that Old Master Hughes didn’t enjoy such socializing; previous birthdays were casually celebrated without any dia or business people involved, so why was his seventieth birthday planned so grandly?

"You’re right, my grandfather doesn’t like crowds, but this seventieth birthday is significant to him as it’s his first such milestone, and he believes this age is important, hence wants a grand celebration. In his words, there’s only one seventy, and he doesn’t know how long he’ll live after it, so he wishes for so liveliness in his lifeti."

Having listened to Keith Hughes’ explanation, Seraphina found it reasonable.

There truly is only one seventy in a lifeti, and she could understand Old Master Hughes’ feelings.

But why had he chosen to invite her?

As if reading Seraphina’s thoughts, Keith Hughes said with a smile, "Actually, the invitation was my idea, but my grandfather agreed too, not to ntion Kevin Group’s prominence now; my grandfather wants to et the person I like, so..."

So things were better left unsaid, and Keith Hughes believed Seraphina understood what he was implying.
