Desmond Fairchild listened, his eyelid twitching slightly, as a rare smile appeared on his usually stern and handso face.

What is a best friend? A best friend is soone who, no matter when or where, can always say a pile of words that leave you breathless with embarrassnt, while remaining completely unaware.

Seraphina Sinclair coughed and frantically tried to turn off the speakerphone, but it was too late.

She heard a voice on the other end continue, "Why are you coughing all the ti? Got a cold? I told you to go back and take good care of yourself and now you’re sick? You should stay away from our son and not infect him."

Seraphina, who wanted to tell her to stop talking nonsense, heard this and disagreed, retorting, "Rosalie Quinn, do you have any conscience? I’m sick and you still say this?"

"What’s there to be afraid of? Don’t you have a convenient husband? Let him take care of you while you’re sick, maybe in the course of taking care of each other, feelings will grow, and you can naturally marry and beco a real family," Rosalie said with a sigh. "You really should start a new relationship."

Seraphina was silent for a few seconds, hundreds of mories of her and Ethan Lloyd flashed through her mind, leaving her feeling a bit cold inside.

It was a while before she spoke softly, "Rosalie, I’m tired. I’m going to rest now."

"Hey, you..."

Before the words were finished, the phone was already hung up.

After explaining everything to Jude Sinclair, Seraphina went back to the bedroom without saying a word.

The father and son sat in the living room, exchanging looks for a long ti before Jude shrugged, "I don’t know what’s wrong with her either."

From the conversation between Seraphina and Rosalie earlier, Desmond sensed sothing. His eyes slightly darkened, pondering sothing unknown.

After taking a bath, Seraphina ca out, casually wiping her hair and sitting on the bed.

As she turned her head, her gaze fell on the hot water placed on the bedside table, with a box of cold dicine beside it.

Her cold eyes softened with a hint of warmth as her slender fingers picked up the cold dicine, unconsciously recalling Desmond’s face.

If it weren’t for his previous job, perhaps he really is a good man.

Looking at the current entertainnt industry, it’s hard to find anyone whose looks can compare to Desmond Fairchild. No matter who stands in front of him, they’re absolutely outshone.

Facing such a divine visage, even though Seraphina isn’t a face enthusiast, it’s hard to be completely immune to this face.

Perhaps Rosalie was right; she should start a new relationship.

Since Desmond is the father of the child, she should try to interact more with him.

Desmond used the excuse of working at Cloudsea Group, continuing his routine of leaving early and returning late. Knowing he was working, Seraphina didn’t ask too much about it.
