After putting the toy train back in his room, Jude Sinclair turned his back to Keith Hughes and pouted.

He stopped playing with such childish toys when he was two.

Keith Hughes was clearly interested in his mommy; it seed like mommy didn’t dislike him either, so he might just beco his stepdad.

Thinking this, Jude Sinclair couldn’t help but happily accept the gift, even if he didn’t like it.

Keith Hughes didn’t understand Jude Sinclair well. After all, Seraphina Sinclair protected Jude very well. Although many people knew Seraphina had a child, no one really knew what kind of child he was.

Everyone assud Jude Sinclair was just an ordinary kid. Who would have thought that at such a young age, his intelligence was almost alarming, and his mind was even more mature than most adults?

Seraphina Sinclair watched their interaction without exposing anything, rely explaining again, "Senior, you’re too polite. See, I’m doing perfectly fine, no need to worry."

"No problem, I was free anyway, so it wasn’t a hassle to co by." Keith Hughes smiled brightly.

Every ti Seraphina saw Keith Hughes, he always had a smile on his face. She was curious—had he never had a bad day?

"By the way, you ca in such a hurry, you haven’t had lunch yet, right?" Seraphina suddenly asked.

Keith Hughes scratched his head, sowhat embarrassed: "Indeed, I haven’t."

"Jude, ask Grandma Winters to make an extra serving of food." Seraphina called out to Jude who just left the room.

Jude responded with a gesture of acknowledgnt and ran off to the kitchen.

Seraphina laughed and explained, "Aunt Winters doesn’t like waste. She usually makes just enough, so we have to give her a heads-up."

"Really, it’s not a big deal. I’m not very hungry anyway." Keith Hughes placed his hands naturally on his knees, looking like a teacher slightly uneasy on a ho visit.

The mundane conversation didn’t interest Camille White, but he knew Keith Hughes.

An hour ago, when he drove past the comrcial street, as he stopped at the roadside waiting for the traffic lights, he saw Keith Hughes dining in a restaurant by the street.

Yet when his godmother asked him, he claid he hadn’t eaten lunch.

So despite the lack of interest, Camille White couldn’t help but look at him twice.

Keith Hughes was wearing a clean white shirt with beige casual pants, looking more like a freshly entered college boy than soone nearing thirty.

His excessively handso face always carried a smile as warm as sunlight, with beautiful narrow almond eyes slightly squinted, curving attractively.

Such a man had quite a following among won. Generally speaking, from young girls aged three to elderly ladies of eighty, none could resist this charming young man.

Camille White’s icy lips curled into a mocking smile; it seed the situation was much more interesting than he thought.

Perhaps his godmother was soon to blossom into a second spring?

Thinking this, Camille White fell into deeper silence, choosing not to reveal the truth to Seraphina.

In his eyes, a man employing so tactics in pursuit of a woman was only natural.

Everyone knew Keith Hughes was fond of Seraphina Sinclair.

Yet Seraphina was utterly unaware, wholeheartedly aiding Keith Hughes in his pursuit of a girl who didn’t really exist.

At the dinner table, Keith Hughes was exceptionally attentive to Seraphina, even humbled himself to peel shrimp for her.

No matter how dense Seraphina was, she knew this was inappropriate and refused with a smile: "Senior, don’t worry about . Just eat your own food."

"Peeling shrimp is my pleasure. Being so distant isn’t necessary." Keith Hughes said, without a hint of awkwardness, while placing a freshly peeled shrimp onto Jude’s small plate, "Jude should eat more to grow taller."

Jude nodded obediently: "Thank you, Uncle Hughes."

Seeing this, Seraphina couldn’t say much more, and the al went on pleasantly for all.

However, after the al, Seraphina suddenly felt unwell in her stomach, leading to an embarrassing rush to the bathroom to throw up, after having not experienced intense pregnancy symptoms for a while.

Keith Hughes furrowed his brow: "Weren’t you supposed to be fine? What’s happening?"

"My godmother has a sensitive stomach. She can’t handle much spicy food." Camille White glanced at the nearly empty plate of spicy fried shrimp.

"I’m sorry, I didn’t know about Seraphina’s condition beforehand. I’ll take her to the hospital." Keith Hughes stood up, grabbing his coat, ready to head to the car.

Jude tugged on his sleeve, shaking his head: "Uncle Hughes, no need to bother. My third brother is a doctor; with him here, there’s nothing to worry about."

Keith Hughes suddenly realized and smiled apologetically: "I almost forgot about Third Master White. Really sorry."

"Seems you know ?" Camille White wasn’t surprised. The White brothers were quite prince-like figures on Diamond Island, so unless one was living in isolation, they would know their status.

Keith Hughes wasn’t lying; he nodded lightly: "I know you."

Having been on Diamond Island so long, it would be suspicious to claim not to know Third Master White.

Camille White made no comnt, choosing not to continue this topic.

Seraphina indeed felt unwell, apologizing to Keith Hughes: "I probably can’t entertain you today, and as for your girlfriend’s gift, I’ll keep an eye out and let you know if I see anything suitable."

"I appreciate it." Keith Hughes knew Seraphina was politely showing him the door; he couldn’t insist on staying, so he bid farewell.

"Take care of your health, let’s et again next ti."

After Keith Hughes left, Seraphina was so drained she collapsed on the bathroom floor, having thrown up bile.

Camille White leaned against the door, watching her finish vomiting, then helped her back to her room, scolding: "You knew you react strongly to seafood, yet kept eating. How does it feel now?"

"He carefully peeled it for . Was I supposed to throw it away?" Seraphina frowned. Making Keith Hughes awkward in front of her was sothing she couldn’t do.

"You could have just said you didn’t like it." Camille White didn’t know what to say.

Seraphina pondered for a mont, suddenly realizing: "Oh right, I was thinking if I refused, it’d be more obvious. Didn’t consider using that excuse. Why didn’t you remind earlier?"

...

A normally intelligent woman, and she couldn’t think of that?

Was it really true what they said, that pregnancy dulls the mind?

Camille White broke into a cold sweat, montarily lost for words to describe this woman.

After so ti, Seraphina’s pregnancy stabilized further. Cooped up at ho for over a month, she couldn’t bear the confinent anymore. So when Camille White wasn’t paying attention, she snuck out with Jude.

Walking in the blazing sumr heat, Seraphina, although dizzy with the heat, felt the air to be wonderfully fresh.
