"Words alone are unreliable; only with a written agreent will I believe it." Seraphina Sinclair spoke while gesturing to Jude Sinclair, who was walking over. "Son, fetch the pen and ink."

Jude Sinclair had heard enough to understand what Seraphina planned to do and quickly went to his room to retrieve his calligraphy set.

Seraphina Sinclair hastily wrote a few lines on the paper, then squinted slightly, indicating to Fiona to sign it.

Fiona pouted, muttering, "You’re really absurd. After all, I’m the eldest daughter of the Dunn Family, yet you don’t trust ."

"Don’t you also not trust verbal promises?" Seraphina Sinclair fixed her gaze on the small purse where Fiona kept her guarantee letter, making a pointed comnt.

"Alright, alright, I’ll sign it, okay?" Fiona conceded, knowing she was in the wrong.

While this kind of thing doesn’t have legal significance, it’s enough to hold soone like Fiona, who’s both naive and lacking in cunning, accountable. With this agreent, Seraphina Sinclair wasn’t worried that she wouldn’t delete the evidence.

"By the way, who exactly is that man? Why are you so nervous? Could it be that during your two years off the island, you found a dad for Jude outside?" Fiona was intrigued by the rare expression Seraphina showed when the man who kissed her was ntioned.

After spending so many years with Seraphina, no matter what happened, she always wore a nonchalant expression. The look she gave upon hearing that man’s na changed instantly.

Even if she were slower on the uptake, she could tell that the relationship between the man and Seraphina was unusual.

She was just speaking off-the-cuff and never expected to hit the mark.

However, Seraphina didn’t answer her question, only tasted the black coffee in front of her and smiled. "There’s really no need for to explain my matters to you."

"Don’t think that just because you won’t say, I won’t know. It must be your man from outside," Fiona snickered, feigning a couple of evil laughs, suddenly exclaiming, "That’s my coffee!"

Seraphina sipped the coffee with a heartfelt and insincere smile, again wearing that calm and indifferent expression. "Oh? Didn’t you say that you don’t drink coffee?"

"Humph!" Fiona, losing the verbal battle, could only turn away in frustration.

Jude watched as every ti Fiona tried to pick a fight, she ended up furious, and he couldn’t help but want to laugh.

Indeed, his mom had her ways with Fiona every ti.

"Oh right, there’s sothing you shouldn’t bla for not warning you about." Fiona leaned closer to Seraphina, whispering, "Nina Kerr is back."

"Is that so?" Seraphina’s previously calm gaze flickered before returning to serenity.

Fiona rubbed her nose, a look of disgust on her small face. "Though I dislike you, I dislike Nina more. Now that she’s back, you probably won’t have many peaceful days, and I heard she’s recently found a very handso boyfriend; whether that’s true or not, I don’t know."

"Thank you for the warning, I understand." Seraphina replied faintly.

"Such ingratitude!" seeing Seraphina’s indifferent reaction, Fiona huffed, "I’m not going to waste words with you, I’m going ho."

After Fiona left, Jude’s small face scrunched up. "Mom, Nina, the old hag, is back. It seems Fiona was right; we probably won’t have many good days ahead."

"It’s okay, as long as mom is here." Seraphina tenderly rubbed Jude’s little head.

She was never one to be bullied and had no intention of letting Nina take the lead.

Speaking of Nina, she was on a different level than Fiona altogether. From the beginning, Seraphina never truly considered Fiona a rival, but Nina was different.

Nina is the cousin of the White Family brothers. After her parents passed early, she was personally raised by the island’s owner.

Before Seraphina and Jude ca to Diamond Island, Nina was the most esteed on the island. The island’s owner doted on her, and the White brothers respected her greatly, and she always enjoyed honors others couldn’t.

But after Seraphina arrived, Nina felt all her lilight was stolen by Seraphina, so she secretly and openly opposed Seraphina.

However, Nina isn’t the brainless type. In Rosalie Quinn’s words, she’s the epito of a manipulative damsel.

Seraphina wasn’t afraid of her; it’s just that she’s been feeling down lately and doesn’t want to clash with Nina. All she wants is a few peaceful days.

But, reality is often more ruthless than imagined.

The more she seeks peace, the less she finds it.

Fiona’s news was right; it wasn’t long before Nina reappeared in the public eye.

On Diamond Island, Nina was the undisputed little princess, worshipped wherever she went.

After all, she was once the island’s most beautiful girl.

Once Nina returned, the White brothers were summoned to pick her up.

Just one Nina could command both Camille and Joel White to fetch her. If Austin White were there, he’d probably have to go too.

Joel and Camille always held this cousin in high regard.

After picking Nina up at the airport, they headed straight for the White Family’s old residence.

The island’s owner, now residing in the old ho, has withdrawn from worldly affairs but cherishes Nina dearly.

Upon hearing of Nina’s return, he personally went out to welco her.

"Grandfather, why are you waiting for here? It’s so windy; be careful not to get sick." Nina, seeing Old Master White eagerly awaiting her arrival at the windy entrance, quickly lifted her skirt and ran to his side, playfully scolding him.

"Oh dear, my dear Nina is back." Old Master White squinted in laughter, showing just how happy he was to see Nina.

Nina happily hugged Old Master White and lightly laughed, "Grandfather, I’m back. How have you been recently? Has your health been good?"

The grandparent-grandchild pair laughed and chatted as they walked inside, with Camille and Joel following behind, overco with helplessness, giving instructions to the servants to carry Nina’s luggage in.

Old Master White always doted on Nina, and seeing her slender figure upon her return broke his heart. "Look at you, girl. Haven’t you been eating well? You’re as thin as a rail."

"Grandfather, you don’t understand. Nowadays, thin is beautiful. My figure is just right; so many people envy it." Speaking of her figure, Nina deliberately lifted her chin with pride, making Old Master White laugh heartily.

"I can’t keep up with you young people’s aesthetic trends." Old Master White sighed deeply, lanting the fact that he was getting old.

The next mont, he seed to rember sothing, smilingly telling Nina, "Nina, you might not know yet, but your cousin Seraphina is back too."

"Is that so? Why did Cousin Seraphina co back? Didn’t she say she’d be away for a while? Did she encounter any trouble outside?" At the ntion of Seraphina, a hint of viciousness flashed through Nina’s eyes, which quickly disappeared.

Old Master White felt deep sympathy for Seraphina. Rembering her misfortunes, he couldn’t help but sigh again. "That child likely did run into sothing. Ever since returning, she’s been silent, not socializing much, and when asked, she just doesn’t talk, sigh..."
