The room was quiet, so quiet that they could hear each other’s breathing.

After an indeterminate period, Jude Sinclair broke the silence, "Dad, Mom will definitely be hungry when she wakes up. How about you go make her sothing to eat while I stay here and keep watch."

"Alright," Desmond Fairchild thought Jude’s consideration was thorough. Although reluctant, he stood up and walked outside.

Just as he got to the door, his phone in his pocket started vibrating violently. He frowned, took out the phone, looked at the caller ID, and pressed the answer button.

Austin White’s anxious voice ca from the other side, "How’s my godmother?"

"She’s okay, you don’t need to worry; your brother has already co to see her," Desmond Fairchild explained.

"That’s good," Austin White breathed a sigh of relief, "Desmond Fairchild, why did my godmother suddenly faint? Did you do sothing again? If you dare to hurt my godmother, I absolutely won’t let you off."

In front of Austin White’s brothers, Desmond Fairchild had no rights. They didn’t care what his status was; as long as he dared bully Seraphina Sinclair, they would never be polite.

Understanding that Austin White was worried about Seraphina Sinclair, Desmond Fairchild didn’t explain anything but said solemnly, "There won’t be a next ti."

This was not only his promise to Austin White but also his requirent of himself.

"Better be," Austin White said coldly, his tone extrely bad, "By the way, the matter you asked to investigate has results."

If he hadn’t been assigned work at noon and was away and unable to return, he would definitely have gone to see Seraphina Sinclair at the first opportunity.

"Who is the person involved?" Desmond Fairchild’s gaze beca unfocused, and his tone grew significantly gravier.

Austin White’s expression beca serious, "The person who sent you the ssage is well hidden. The number I tracked is a void number. But following the IP address, it was found that this phone card doesn’t exist. The program was altered to send you that ssage."

"Can you find out who the person is?" Desmond Fairchild’s handso face showed no expression, but he already knew who it could be.

This matter is likely related to Eric Holt.

Austin White shook his head, "It’s not that it can’t be found, but the person found I dare say is definitely not the one who sent the ssage. He was just used as a tool. From the docunt theft at the Kevin Group to this current matter, I don’t think it’s entirely unrelated. Although my godmother suspects an inside job, I feel it’s not just that simple."

The Kevin Group’s insider has not yet been caught. The other party can easily steal docunts and have him destroy the files; this matter seems odd no matter how you look at it. Sothing painstakingly stolen, how could it be destroyed so easily again?

At the ti, he only thought the other party was a high-level hacker, but not strong enough, hence why he breached their defenses.

Looking at today’s events, perhaps the other party was just waiting for them to fall into this trap or maybe everything wasn’t about stealing information, nor was it about fracturing Seraphina Sinclair and Desmond Fairchild’s relationship.

These matters are neither very small nor very big.

Austin White kept thinking that the other party’s approach seed strangely peculiar.

After all, for the Kevin and Cloudsea Groups, even if the information is stolen, they are far from collapsing, and any minor damage would only be temporary.

Speaking to this point, Desmond Fairchild of course understood.

In fact, he understood better than Austin White what the other party wanted.

Concerned about Seraphina Sinclair, Austin White couldn’t help but warn Desmond Fairchild, "I don’t know who you offended, but I hope these matters don’t affect my godmother. If she gets involved because of you, none of us will forgive you."

"I will protect her," Desmond Fairchild’s eyes were determined. It seed ti for him to take proactive action.

"I hope so," Austin White snorted coldly, "Judging from recent events, each one seems aid at my godmother when in fact the target has always been you. What he’s done hasn’t caused you any substantial harm, indicating he doesn’t yet want to strike, doing this only to warn you."

Things that Austin White could see clearly, Desmond Fairchild certainly understood.

After listening to Austin White’s analysis, his thoughts were further confird.

"You don’t need to intervene in this matter, I will handle it myself."

"Got it."

Of course, Austin White didn’t want to get involved in Desmond Fairchild’s ss. If it weren’t for Seraphina Sinclair, if it weren’t because he always felt Desmond Fairchild wasn’t as simple as he looked, no matter what, he wouldn’t have touched this troubled water.

Recently, there have been new tasks on Diamond Island, and Austin White has been too busy to concern himself with Desmond Fairchild’s matters.

Desmond Fairchild dialed Quentin Jennings’ phone, his cool voice carrying an indescribable dominance, "How’s the investigation on Shadow going?"

"This Shadow is a real ghost, no reliable leads yet," Quentin Jennings was quite headache over Shadow, "but there’s a rumbling that he recently ca to Bayside City, perhaps we can uncover sothing."

"Continue investigating this line. anwhile, Eric Holt has started taking action," Desmond Fairchild’s mouth curled into a cold, bloodthirsty smile, "Looks like these years abroad treated him well, he seems to have matured a lot."

Listening to Desmond Fairchild’s icy voice, Quentin Jennings shivered instinctively, "Ti to hit back?"

"Do you know when the enemy feels the most desperate?" Desmond Fairchild’s voice mysteriously seeped into Quentin Jennings’ ears, chilling like a fatal curse.

He shivered again, then agreed, "Please enlighten , Master Fairchild."

"When a never-failing assassin is counter-killed by an ant he thinks has no power," Desmond Fairchild released his clenched fist as a sinister smile spread across his lips.

The deanor changed completely, morphing from an iceberg to a demonic fury, surrounded by lethal aura sending chills into the depths of the soul.

Hearing the commotion outside, Jude Sinclair ca out to see the spectacle, his small body shrinking slightly, his clear eyes filled with disbelief.

The man in front of him—Desmond Fairchild—was not the one he knew.

However, being his son, even amidst panic, he maintained composure. He quietly closed the bedroom door, climbed onto the bed beside Seraphina Sinclair, his eyes shining with complex emotions.

How many secrets did his father hold?

He originally thought Desmond was rely the head of Cloudsea Group, now it seed that was not the case.

Ever since Desmond sent him to learn various combat techniques and the use of military arms, he began suspecting, now more affird his thoughts were correct.

In retrospect, ever since acknowledging Desmond Fairchild, there had been no harm done to them, mother and son. Even if Desmond had so secret identity, as long as he didn’t harm his mommy, he could accept it.
