Quentin Jennings leaned over for a look, almost having his heart stop from shock.

Marcus Vance must have a death wish, daring to ask out the sister-in-law.

With this scene, it would infuriate even him, let alone Desmond Fairchild.

Of course, before figuring things out, Quentin felt he shouldn’t jump to conclusions. The two usually had no interactions, so it was impossible there was so unspeakable relationship.

"Master Fairchild, don’t rush. Ask your sister-in-law about the situation first, don’t misunderstand."

Desmond Fairchild coldly scrolled through his chat logs with Seraphina Sinclair. At that ti, she clearly said she was at ho.

If Seraphina had told the truth from the start, Desmond, even if jealous, wouldn’t have reacted so sharply. However, she deceived him from the beginning.

Cold sweat broke out on Quentin’s forehead. He almost wanted to slap himself for bringing up the wrong topic. But he also didn’t expect Seraphina to lie to Desmond, so what was the reason?

Could there really be so affair between her and Marcus?

He didn’t believe it.

Though he hadn’t known Seraphina for long, he had so understanding of her. A woman like her, even soone like Desmond had a hard ti pursuing, let alone Marcus.

Even if Marcus wasn’t much worse than Desmond, there’s no comparison to be made.

No one would be foolish enough to give up Desmond for soone lesser, right? Even if they didn’t talk about love, just interest, even an idiot would know who held more value.

Quentin’s mind churned in countless circles but he couldn’t make sense of it.

anwhile, Desmond had already made the call. He also thought Quentin made a point, even if Seraphina deceived him, he wanted to give her a chance to explain.

Seraphina, answering the call, was just walking into a watch store with Marcus, she laughed and said, "Aren’t you working? How do you have the ti to call ?"

"Where are you?" On the other end, Desmond suppressed the fury about to explode, and asked her calmly.

"Didn’t I say I’m at ho reading? What’s up?" Seraphina asked, puzzled.

Desmond took a deep breath. His voice was markedly different, colder than the winter snow: "I’ll ask you one last ti, where are you?"

Hearing his icy voice, Seraphina found it baffling: "What’s wrong with you? Can’t you say directly if sothing’s up?"

This sudden outburst, she couldn’t figure it out, okay?

"You’re sure you’re at ho?" Desmond exuded a freezing aura that nearly froze Quentin standing nearby.

Quentin silently thought it bad. This wouldn’t end well with her temper, she’d argue with him even if she was really at ho.

Sure enough, Seraphina was bewildered by his sudden anger, annoyed with a few notes in her tone: "Desmond, can we speak nicely? What do you want to say exactly, why are you harping on my location?"

"Fine, Seraphina you got so nerve." Desmond was so angered that he laughed, "Suit yourself."

He had given her a chance to explain, yet she handed him such an unexpected answer.

After hanging up, Desmond’s anger and patience had reached their limit.

Quentin stepped forward to persuade him: "I don’t think sister-in-law is that type of person, nor is Marcus. Try to stay calm; maybe the situation..."

"Get out!" Flas burned in Desmond’s eyes as he turned and fiercely tossed his phone onto the coffee table.

The loud crash made Quentin’s heart race, watching the phone smashed to pieces and the cracked table surface, swallowing hard and not daring to say more, quickly walked out of the office.

He had to admit, even with a strong ntality, Desmond’s anger frightened him a bit.

Outside the office door, he imdiately called Marcus.

"Dude, you’re in trouble, you know this?"

Quentin’s urgent tone caught Marcus’s attention, since Seraphina took that call he felt sothing was off, and was about to ask when Quentin’s call ca through.

Apparently, he wasn’t wrong. Seraphina’s sudden anger likely involved Desmond.

But outwardly, he remained calm: "What’s wrong?"

"You must have a death wish, tempting Master Fairchild’s woman? Do you know you were photographed?" Quentin was frantic, how could Marcus stay so calm, did he know how serious this was?

"I can explain." Marcus, unfazed, believed the truth would clear itself.

Quentin was panicking though: "Bro, it’s not about whether you can explain, the problem is sister-in-law is with you, yet she lied to the Master. Even if you explain, Master wouldn’t want to hear."

Marcus looked at the angry face of Seraphina, sighed: "Sister-in-law is also angry with right now."

"Forget sister-in-law’s issue, what’s going on with you two? Why would she deceive Master for you, is there truly sothing?" Quentin’s face turned pale at the re thought.

If true, not only Marcus, but he would be in trouble too. Even the entire Cloudsea Group would face disaster.

Master’s wrath could an corpses for miles.

Marcus explained slowly: "It’s actually not a big deal. With Christmas coming up, sister-in-law wanted to buy sothing for Master but couldn’t decide, so she asked for advice."

Quentin rolled his eyes: "That’s it?"

"Yes, that’s it." Marcus answered seriously.

"So this couple wanted to surprise each other, but ended up getting themselves into a ss?" Quentin felt imnsely frustrated.

Such a small matter causing the cold-faced god of Bayside City and the rising goddess to reach such tension was impressive.

Marcus caught the crux of the issue, frowning: "Though nothing is between sister-in-law and , seeing it sobody twisted it, beside explaining to Master, finding the informant is critical."

"Indeed, it’s a minor thing, but with them involved, it’s a different story." Quentin’s expression beca serious too.

Since the information was sent to Desmond, it suggested the sender knew well about Desmond and Seraphina’s relationship. Maybe a simple admirer of Desmond wanted to tear them apart, but what if not?

What if tearing them apart was a ploy to fell Kevin or Cloudsea Group?

With this thought Quentin hung up and returned to the office.

"Master, I can explain the situation with sister-in-law and Marcus." Quentin quickly started, fearing Desmond would interrupt, "Sister-in-law actually wanted to buy a gift for you, so she consulted Marcus about your tastes, nothing else."

He spoke too fast for Desmond to interrupt even if he wanted to.

After listening, Desmond, in fury, seed to calm down slightly.

Of course, at this mont, the gift wasn’t important. Quentin knew Desmond wouldn’t lose his rationality over love affairs.
