"Boom!" Seraphina Sinclair’s silhouette instantly disappeared.

Jude Sinclair, like a little adult, sighed and sat back in the chair, resting his chin on his hands as he looked at Desmond Fairchild and spoke: "Dad, Mommy, what’s wrong with her? Did you do sothing to upset her again? Why does she seem so strange?"

Desmond rolled up his sleeves and sat in the seat Seraphina had just vacated, slowly ate the egg she had only taken two bites of, and finally spoke: "I also want to know what’s wrong with her."

As Desmond recalled the incident earlier, his eyes narrowed slightly. Is she avoiding ? What exactly happened last night during the ti he was in the study with his grandmother? Why has she beco like this? He truly couldn’t understand.

"Whew..." Seraphina collapsed into the chair, letting out a long breath of relief.

Although she knew her behavior just now must have been very strange, she simply couldn’t face Desmond properly. But, things can’t go on like this...

"Forget it, forget it, why bother!" Seraphina shook her head, temporarily blocking out all those ssy thoughts and fully focused on the files on the desk.

In the following days, Seraphina kept trying to avoid Desmond as much as she could. When she couldn’t avoid him, she was always in a hurry, and the words she exchanged with him were few and far between.

"Dad, what’s going on with you and Mommy? She seems like she’s been avoiding you these past few days." Jude said while sitting on the sofa, eating a small cake.

Just as he finished speaking, Seraphina returned. As soon as she saw Desmond sitting on the sofa with Jude, she imdiately lowered her head and hurriedly ran into the room.

"See, just look for yourself." Jude pouted and said.

Seeing her avoiding him as if he were a flood or a beast, Desmond found it amusing: "Go call your Mommy out."

Jude imdiately put down the small cake and ran, smiling, to knock on Seraphina’s door: "Mommy, Daddy’s gone mad, co out quick, I’m hungry."

As soon as the words left his mouth, the door opened. Seraphina had just erged and was pulled out by Desmond, who had been waiting by the side.

"Jude, your Mommy and I are going out for a bit, we won’t be back for dinner tonight." Desmond spoke as he pulled Seraphina towards the door.

Jude grinned, nodding as if he understood everything.

Seeing father and son like this, Seraphina knew very well and, failing to escape Desmond’s grip, could only glare fiercely at Jude — that little ingrate.

Azure Gardens private room.

Desmond dragged Seraphina in, and only after locking the door did he release her hand.

Looking at Desmond’s rather displeased expression, Seraphina nervously swallowed and took the initiative to speak: "Desmond, what are you doing? Teaming up with Jude to trick , huh?"

"What am I doing? I think you know very well in your heart. Tell , why have you been avoiding these days? If you don’t explain, you’re not leaving today." Desmond leaned against the door and said.

Seraphina opened her mouth but ultimately said nothing, silently sitting on the sofa beside him.

"What happened? Whatever it is, you can tell , but avoiding — what is that?" Seeing her like this, Desmond’s anger surged.

No matter what he said, Seraphina refused to speak, only sitting on the sofa staring at the floor.

"Fine, if you don’t want to tell, forget it. I don’t want to hear it anymore." Seeing her remain like this, Desmond was both anxious and angry, glanced at her, and then opened the room door and walked out.

After he left, the person who had been sitting motionless on the sofa finally had so movent.

Seraphina pressed her lips, lifted her head, and gently exhaled a breath of air, tears hovering in her eyes.

"I’m sorry... I’m truly sorry..." She buried her face in her palms and murmured to herself.

She truly was useless, sticking in the past. All these years, she had trapped herself in bygone mories, unable to move forward.

Even now, because of those past mories, she has hurt Desmond’s heart.

She knew what Desmond wanted — to hear her explain why she had been avoiding him all these days.

But she simply couldn’t bring herself to say it; she didn’t even know why. So she could only let herself hide away, being a coward.

Desmond must be disappointed in her now. After all, even she was disappointed in herself.

She didn’t know how long it took before she slowly erged from her emotions, feeling unbearably exhausted, as if all her strength had disappeared with Desmond’s departure.

In the days that followed, even without Seraphina deliberately avoiding him, she didn’t encounter Desmond again. Jude keenly sensed Seraphina’s unusual state and didn’t ntion Desmond in front of her.

It should have been what she wanted, so why did she feel more and more unhappy?

"President Sinclair? President Sinclair!" Her assistant, seeing her distracted appearance, couldn’t help but raise the voice to call out.

"Ah? Sorry, I was lost in thought." Seraphina finally snapped out of it, apologizing slightly.

"President Sinclair, you don’t seem quite right these days. Is it because of too much work at the company, are you too tired?" The assistant placed the freshly made coffee on the desk.

Seraphina rubbed her forehead. She knew her state had been off these past few days. Waving to signal the assistant to leave, she took out her portable pouch, retrieving a white bottle only to find it empty.

"Really..." Seraphina glanced bitterly at the empty bottle.

When she returned ho late that night, Seraphina forced herself to wash up despite her exhaustion, then poured herself a glass of water and sat in front of the vanity mirror, staring at her reflection.

After a long ti, she took out several boxes of dicine from her bag, opened them, and swallowed them with water.

The next morning, Jude noticed there was still no movent from Seraphina, feeling uneasy, he entered her room.

He imdiately saw Seraphina sleeping on the bed and breathed a sigh of relief, yet when he glanced over, he saw the dicine on the dressing table, and his heart tightened as he rushed over, standing on tiptoe to take the dicine down from the table.

Nas like Carbamazepine, Olanzapine, Paroxetine hydrochloride, and Fluvoxamine ca into view, causing Jude’s little face to instantly fall.
