The mont those words were spoken, everyone present laughed a bit awkwardly.

Desmond Fairchild raised an eyebrow and forcibly brought the topic back around, with a half-smile, "If you want to win my wife’s money, you’ll need to see if you have the skills."

Wow! The way he called her his wife was just so natural.

Seeing the teasing gaze from everyone, Seraphina Sinclair’s face turned even redder.

"Let’s start." Knowing that Seraphina was shy, Desmond patted her shoulder and told everyone, then leaned down to whisper to her, "Once we draw the tiles, I’ll teach you how to play."

He pulled a chair from the side and sat close to Seraphina, his long arm naturally resting on her shoulder, leaving almost no distance between them.

With so many people watching, Seraphina’s earlobes were burning. She could clearly feel Desmond’s quiet breathing, her mind wandering, having no focus to play.

Before she could do anything, the tiles had been shuffled.

Desmond whispered, "Draw your tiles; just mimic how they draw theirs."

This was easy. Even though Seraphina hadn’t eaten pork, she’d seen pigs run. Drawing tiles wouldn’t stump her.

And so, the couple began the first round of competition against the other three players.

Since Seraphina was a beginner, she naturally lost the first round completely, but she wasn’t upset, just considering it a learning fee.

With Desmond as her ntor, she wasn’t afraid of losing at all.

Felix Miller, who had profited, laughed brilliantly, "Sister-in-law, I was just joking earlier; you didn’t have to be so gracious."

In the second round, Seraphina accidentally let Felix win again, seeing his delighted face.

With a slight curl at her lips, her eyes calm, Seraphina said, "I’m going to get serious now."

Two rounds to test the waters were enough. By now, she had a good grasp of how to play. Let’s see if Felix will still be laughing soon.

Seeing a flash of cunning in her eyes, Desmond understood. This girl was always sharp; she was about to turn the tables.

"Don’t hold back against them," Desmond patted her shoulder, signaling she didn’t need to show him any rcy.

Seraphina turned her head and stuck out her tongue at him, "Don’t worry, if I win, I’ll treat you and our son to a feast."

Felix and Quentin Jennings exchanged a look of disbelief, "Sister-in-law, if you can win our money today, I’ll treat you to anything you want for supper."

"You said it, don’t go back on your word then," Seraphina giggled, covering her rosy lips.

"I, Felix Miller, keep my word, let’s keep playing," Felix said arrogantly, not believing a novice could wipe out this group of seasoned players.

Desmond still sat by Seraphina, offering guidance, though most of the ti, she already knew how to play without him saying a word.

The others hadn’t expected it; Seraphina was exceptionally gifted. After less than half an hour of learning, she had already grasped the essence of mahjong. As many rounds passed, not only did she not lose a di, she won quite a bit.

Counting the cash, she proudly asked Desmond for praise, "How did I do? Am I amazing?"

Desmond looked at her with a gaze filled with imasurable affection, in a tone so gentle the others hadn’t heard before, "My wife is indeed amazing."

"Of course," Seraphina snorted lightly, naturally leaning against his shoulder, then waving to everyone, "Don’t stop, keep going." She was just getting into the swing of things!

Quentin initially ant for Desmond to handle Felix, but now he was the one in distress, his handso face full of reluctance, "Sister-in-law, maybe we should call it a day, I haven’t brought that much cash with ."

Felix nodded vigorously in agreent, "Yes, sister-in-law, we only planned for a small ga and didn’t bring that much money."

Miles Finch smiled but said nothing.

Seeing that no one wanted to continue playing, Seraphina had to relent, "In that case, let’s stop."

Hearing this, everyone sighed in relief. Who would have thought Seraphina was so formidable? If they continued, they’d probably lose everything today.

After all, these wealthy folks weren’t gambling for a few bucks. But since they agreed only to use cash, each had brought just ten to twenty thousand this ti, and they had already lost all of it.

Fortunately, the club was reserved for them, with all sorts of entertainnt available. Quentin, protecting the last few dozen bucks he had as if they were treasure, gestured grandly to clear the mahjong table, turn on the sound system, and pour drinks for drinking gas.

This group was already experienced at drinking gas. It was the first ti they saw Desmond bring soone along, and after losing a lot of money, they were intent on getting Seraphina to drink.

Desmond wanted to stop them but seeing Seraphina’s bold mood, he held back. She hadn’t been in a great mood lately, so letting her relax seed a good idea.

Seraphina, herself, was never much of a drinker and wouldn’t dare drink so much if Desmond wasn’t there.

Luckily, everyone knew when to stop. As soon as Seraphina’s cheeks turned slightly pink, they imdiately held back.

The group was here for fun, so when the atmosphere was good, Quentin, the mood maker, began stirring things up again.

He suddenly stood up, mischievously smiling, "Hasn’t it been a long ti since us guys played truth or dare? I see the boss over there looks quite bored, how about so excitent?"

Felix quickly caught on and cheered, "Now that you ntion it, since Master Fairchild had a wife, we’ve rarely gathered like this. It’s been a while since we played such thrilling gas — let’s do it!"

He’s the type who never wins at gas but is always the most eager to play.

Seeing his childish antics, Seraphina couldn’t help but laugh, leaning on Desmond with a dreamy gaze, "Desmond, I never knew your friends were so interesting before."

Previously, she had preconceived notions of Desmond as a playboy, and thus didn’t think much of his friends. After learning his true identity, her mind broadened, and thinking back, she even felt a bit embarrassed.

Desmond wrapped her in his arms, slightly jealous, "They’re not that interesting. If you want to play in the future, just find ."

"You? What’s fun about you? You’re only good for company when drinking," Seraphina playfully teased, hooking her finger under Desmond’s chin, her eyes teasingly bold.

"Ooh..." Everyone present elongated the sound playfully, starting to hoot and holler.

Desmond, also disard by her seductive gaze, lifted her off his lap with a faint cough, "Let’s play the ga."
