"Ivy, are you still trying to argue?"

"I’m just asking if it’s true or not."

Ivy Sumrs looked coldly at Rachel Shaw. Her face showed no excess expression, but a single indifferent gaze made Rachel feel a sense of panic.

That calm and powerful aura made Rachel feel like she was the one on trial today.

"I didn’t lie, so why should I kneel and apologize to you?"

Ivy raised an eyebrow, "Can’t you understand human language, or are you just too scared to?"

"Ivy Sumrs, I brought you here today to give you a chance, not to have you question ." Rachel wasn’t really daring; she felt a sense of crisis that made her glare at Ivy angrily.

Ivy turned her head to look at the lawyer.

"You’re the lawyer. I heard you just say I intended to kill her with a knife, which is attempted murder. Pushing her off the Ferris wheel, causing her serious injury, constitutes intentional injury. Having her kidnapped and abused amounts to kidnapping. How many years would all these cris add up to?"

"Attempted murder, probably less than three years; intentional injury, causing serious harm, around five years; kidnapping and abuse are more severe, at least ten years. But these are just rough estimates; sentencing depends on the court."

After listening to the lawyer, Ivy lifted her brow slightly, "I understand. With combined charges, I would be sentenced to about twenty years? What about defamation? How many years would that be?"

Lawyer Sawyer glanced at Rachel Shaw.

Rachel stared at Ivy, and hearing the lawyer’s ntion of twenty years, she wished she could lock Ivy up imdiately.

"Ivy, the lawyer has spoken. Aren’t you afraid? Twenty years — if you don’t apologize and admit your mistake, you’ll miss the chance."

Rachel seed confident, as if she could already see Ivy’s fate.

Twenty years; once Ivy went in, she’d be stuck for life.

At that mont, the previously ajar door was pushed open.

Damien Lancaster walked in from outside, his cold gaze sweeping across the room before landing on Ivy.

Following Damien was Zachary Lancaster.

He leaned lazily against the side, "I’m here to join the excitent."

Rachel looked at Damien, her expression softening, "Damien, you’re here. It’s about these things that have been happening. My uncle hired a lawyer for . I originally thought there’s no need to make a fuss, wanting Ivy to apologize and it’s over. But she doesn’t seem willing, Damien, please persuade Ivy. Otherwise, with all these cris, she’ll get twenty years."

Rachel spoke, pressing her lips in resignation, yet maintaining a graceful, gentle, kind deanor.

"Twenty years? Who said that, co out." Zachary straightened up, fists clenched as if ready to fight.

Lawyer Sawyer instinctively flinched.

Zachary laughed, walking over, "It’s you, right?"

The lawyer was grabbed by the tall, imposing Zachary as easily as picking up a chick, "Are you the one trying to sentence my sister-in-law to twenty years? My dad gave you so authority, and you think you’re sothing? You get her locked up, you planning to be my brother’s wife?"

Lawyer Sawyer was genuinely intimidated by this young troublemaker, looking to Damien for help.

Damien had no intention of saving him, his face exceptionally stern, silently approving Zachary’s actions.

Rachel stood up hastily, "Zachary, what are you doing? Let Lawyer Sawyer go. All these are Ivy’s cris; he’s just providing the information. Don’t take it out on him."

"Then how about I take it out on you?" Zachary directly dropped the lawyer and walked towards Rachel.

Rachel fearfully retreated, and Phillip Shaw stepped forward to shield her.

Finally, Damien spoke, "Zachary, co back."

Zachary’s steps halted; he listened well to his older brother.

Yet, seeing Rachel’s frightened deanor, Zachary chuckled a few tis mockingly.

Rachel had always liked playing the weak; after all these years, she hadn’t changed.

Rachel’s face stiffened, "Ivy, all of this ss is because of you. Don’t you have anything to say now?"

Ivy raised an eyebrow, "It’s all your scheming. Don’t pin it on . I just ask you one thing, if you lied and wronged , do you dare to kneel and apologize?"

Rachel gritted her teeth, glancing at Damien.

At this mont, if she didn’t answer, that ant she didn’t dare, and not daring would prove she lied.

Rachel fiercely glared at Ivy, knowing she couldn’t show fear.

Anyway, Ivy had no evidence, so what did she have to fear?

Rachel took a deep breath, "Fine, since you insist on saying this, I promise if I lied and wronged you, I’ll kneel and apologize. But Ivy, think it through. Once I agree, there will be no chance for you to make ands, and your cris will be judged as they should be."

"Alright."

Ivy agreed directly.

Rachel felt that Ivy was such a fool, with no chance of winning, still holding strong here.

Now that she’s agreed, it’s good; it would prevent Damien from thinking she’s being heartless, not letting Ivy off.

As soon as the words fell, the door suddenly opened with a loud bang, everyone’s gaze turned to the door, and they saw Ella Morgan walking in.

The mont Rachel saw her, she panicked, because she knew she had the video.

Ella barged in, giving Rachel a glance, "Miss Shaw, it’s so lively here. As Sophie’s mother, I had to join in."

"Miss Morgan, this is my room. Please leave." In her panic, Rachel directly tried to dismiss Ella.

Ella ignored her, "Miss Shaw has the face to sue Miss Sumrs here. You must have truly forgotten what you’ve done. It’s okay if you forgot; I have a video. I can help you rember."

"Miss Morgan!" Rachel stood up, "I know you’ve always suspected because of Sophie, but accusation is one thing; the police have proven my innocence. You can’t keep slandering . Besides, Sophie..."

ntioning Sophie, Rachel deliberately looked at Ivy, and her words carried a hint of threat.

If they dared release the video, she’d tell Damien that Sophie was Ivy’s child.

Ella looked at her, eyes full of mocking intent.

"Seems like you’re scared. Mr. Lancaster, that day, Miss Shaw ran out of Sophie’s room, shouting that Miss Sumrs wanted to kill her. In truth, that wasn’t the case. The knife Miss Sumrs held was just taken from Miss Shaw, as Miss Shaw was about to use it on Sophie."

Rachel panicked instantly, "You’re lying."

"I’m lying?" Ella pulled out her phone, "I do have a video. Shouldn’t you consider your words first?"

Rachel’s mouth twitched, glaring at Ivy. Doesn’t she fear dragging both of them down?

Doesn’t she fear the revelation that her daughter would be returned to the Lancaster family, separating them?

"What video?" Damien frowned and looked at Ella.
