The police stopped him, and he watched as Ivy Sumrs slowly walked away.

As Ivy Sumrs left the hospital, a car stopped in front of her. A man, full of hostility, got out of the car and saw Ivy looking like a ghost.

His arm muscles tensed, and he clenched his fist, ready to walk into the hospital.

Ivy’s face showed no emotion as she pulled him back, "Let’s go ho first, I’m tired."

The man glanced at her, then gave in and took her back.

Back at the hotel, Ivy was afraid to scare Nathan and Leo with her appearance, so she didn’t go to their room but returned to her own.

On the sofa, she sat quietly for a while, enduring great discomfort in her heart, but tears just wouldn’t fall.

Reaching out to touch her phone, Ivy suddenly rembered she lost it at the Ferris wheel.

There were important things on the phone, especially that recording.

Ivy was not willing to accept what happened tonight; being falsely accused felt terrible.

Closing her eyes, Ivy tried to recall when her phone might have fallen. She didn’t rember seeing the phone drop out of the capsule.

Thinking it through, maybe the phone was still in the capsule. Ivy got up and went back to look for it.

Damien Lancaster was brought back by the police, but he was released shortly after. Such matters couldn’t harm him at all.

As Damien walked out of the police station, his dark expression was intimidating enough that Julian Jacobs didn’t dare to look at him, silently following behind instead.

"Did you find out anything from what I asked you to investigate?" Damien suddenly stopped to ask.

Julian, nervous and apprehensive, stepped forward, "There was a surveillance cara nearby, but it was broken, so we didn’t find anything. But sir, soone who went along tonight said they saw Miss Shaw forcibly pull Miss Sumrs into the Ferris wheel."

"Ivy didn’t go up on her own?"

"No, it was Miss Shaw who pulled Miss Sumrs up."

Damien remained silent for a mont, as if he had thought of sothing, "To the hospital."

Julian thought that, after Ivy got Damien into the police station, Damien would first think of settling scores with Ivy. Unexpectedly, he was going to the hospital to find Rachel Shaw.

Julian said, "Sir, it’s very late now."

"We’ll go anyway."

He had to get to the bottom of tonight’s incident.

"Yes, sir."

At the hospital.

Rachel Shaw hadn’t slept yet. Phillip Shaw had gone back first, and Penelope Page stayed to accompany her.

Seeing Damien co in, Rachel’s face stiffened slightly before reacting and sitting up straight, "Damien, why are you back? Where’s Ivy, is she okay?"

Damien’s eyes harbored a hint of anger, "I have sothing to ask you."

Rachel noticed the emotion in Damien’s eyes, and she was a bit flustered, but didn’t show it, "What’s the matter? Is it about what happened tonight?"

"Yes."

Rachel lifted her bright eyes and said, "Damien, tonight’s incident was too scary, I don’t want to talk about it anymore."

"You must talk." Damien’s tone was firm.

Penelope advised, "Damien, Rachel just got injured, let her rest first."

"We’ll rest after this is spoken of."

Damien’s dark eyes looked straight at her, the intense pressure making Rachel swallow nervously, "Mom, why don’t you go out for a bit, I’ll talk to Damien."

Only Damien and Rachel were left in the ward.

Rachel lightly pressed her lips, "Damien, have a seat."

"What exactly happened tonight, did Ivy Sumrs really push you?"

Rachel’s hand, placed on the thin quilt, anxiously clutched it tighter, looking at Damien in confusion, "Damien, why are you asking like that? Of course she did, otherwise how could I have fallen out of the capsule."

"My people saw you dragging Ivy Sumrs into the capsule."

Rachel’s body stiffened even more, and she explained, "That’s because there were so things I wanted to ask Ivy privately."

"You had to go on the Ferris wheel to ask?"

Rachel knew that Damien’s questioning suggested doubt.

She bit her lip, her eyes turning red, "Damien, are you doubting ? You know, I was in a bad mood at the ti, I..."

"Ivy Sumrs’ injuries were caused by a violent impact, you two got into a fight." Damien didn’t want to see her crying, he said directly.

Rachel admitted, "Yes, she wanted to push off, I had to fight back, so we got into a fight."

"Tell the details."

It seed Damien had no intention of letting her off tonight.

His attitude scared Rachel.

After a brief silence, Rachel wiped her tears and started recounting what happened on the Ferris wheel.

Of course, it was all lies.

She blad everything on Ivy Sumrs.

She described how Ivy doubted her, how she bore a grudge against her because of Sophie, and finally how they fought, and how she desperately resisted.

But Damien imdiately identified the problem.

"Rachel Shaw, are you joking with ?"

"Huh?" Rachel didn’t know where she went wrong.

"You said Ivy Sumrs bore a grudge against you because of Sophie, so she wanted to kill you? Do you think she would commit murder for a child she just t a few days ago? Does that even make sense?"

"That’s because..."

Rachel paused, biting her lip.

She couldn’t reveal that Sophie was Ivy Sumrs’ daughter.

"Because of what?" Damien narrowed his eyes.

"Because..."

Rachel couldn’t say it, "Because she still hates , Damien, she hates for taking you away."

"Rachel Shaw, you’re lying."

Damien didn’t believe that Ivy Sumrs would commit murder for a child unrelated to her.

Just like he didn’t believe Rachel Shaw would harm a child unrelated to her.

Of course, he also knew Ivy’s attitude towards him now; she wanted a divorce, how could she try to kill Rachel Shaw for him?

Rachel’s tears fell, "Damien, don’t you believe ?"

"Your words make it hard for to believe you."

"But that’s how it is, you forgot how she hung up and bullied ? She hates , is there anything she wouldn’t do?"

Rachel seed to be in great pain from Damien’s disbelief, "Damien, why don’t you trust , you know I never lie."

Damien wasn’t buying it from her now.

"Her arm was injured, severely dislocated to the point she couldn’t lift a hand even in danger, and on the Ferris wheel, she still desperately held onto you, Rachel Shaw, you tell , was she trying to kill you?"
