Ivy Sumrs was attending a large auction tonight, taking place in the hotel’s grandest ballroom.

Guests arrived one after another, and the ballroom gradually beca lively.

Rachel Shaw had arrived early, looking stunningly beautiful, exuding endless charm as she stood there.

However, after the incident at the Sterling Family’s last ti, not many dared to approach her.

Even though she was about to get engaged to Damien Lancaster, people were unsure of his attitude towards her.

If Damien treated her well, they would naturally respect her.

If he was indifferent to her, they naturally wouldn’t pay her any mind.

Seeing that she ca alone, everyone roughly speculated in their hearts and kept their distance.

Rachel Shaw bit her lip in frustration, thinking of how she’d teach these snobbish people a lesson after marrying into the Lancaster Family.

As she pondered, Rachel clenched her hands, fearing that Damien might not co, which would render her plans futile.

Just as she was thinking this, a man walked in from the door.

Seeing that tall, upright figure, Rachel’s eyes lit up.

It was Damien Lancaster!

He had co!

Rachel’s heart raced with excitent; she had thought Damien wouldn’t co, but here he was.

Was it because of the phone call she made?

Without giving it much thought, Rachel knew many people were watching her as a joke, so she lifted her skirt and eagerly walked towards the man who could bring her honor.

"Damien, you’re here." Rachel wore her most perfect smile as she looked at Damien Lancaster.

Damien frowned slightly, and with a hand block, Rachel’s attempt to get close was heartlessly rejected.

Rachel didn’t expect Damien to push her away, but she tried to maintain her smile.

"Damien, I thought you really weren’t coming. Rember how I used to love attending these events? Auctions, but you didn’t like them. Yet, you’d still accompany ."

As Rachel said this, her eyes reddened, overwheld with emotion.

"I don’t rember." Damien was ruthless, saying no more and directly leaving.

Rachel wanted to follow but was stopped by Julian Jacobs.

Julian said, "Miss Shaw, Mr. Lancaster doesn’t like being followed."

...

Ivy Sumrs was in the lounge; the auction was about to start. As she had just left the lounge and closed the door, she unexpectedly bumped into a solid chest.

Surprised, Ivy looked up to see Damien Lancaster standing behind her.

"What are you doing here?" Ivy frowned.

Damien’s gaze fell on the thin veil covering Ivy’s face, adding to the allure of her beauty.

Even knowing there was a pretty face beneath the veil, he couldn’t resist the urge to unveil it and explore.

No wonder soone was willing to pay ten million just to see her true face.

Damien reached out and lifted her chin, leaning closer. "Is the veil to avoid showing your pretty face?"

Ivy slapped his hand away. "Incorrect, it’s to guard against you."

In this digital age, people love recording videos and posting them online. Ivy’s work exposed her publicly, and she could be easily found by Damien online.

So she initially wore a veil to guard against Damien.

Eventually, it beca a habit.

Damien wasn’t angry; instead, he laughed. "Not bad, it shows you’ve been thinking about all these years."

Ivy glared at him. "You’re delusional."

As the ti approached, Ivy quickly walked away.

Damien chuckled and followed her to the ballroom.

Damien had arranged seats in the front row, closest to the auction platform.

As he arrived, people made way for him in the center, and Damien sat amidst everyone’s gaze.

Rachel quickly followed, sitting beside Damien.

Once seated beside him, Rachel finally breathed a sigh of relief; at least she could still sit next to Damien.

Soon, the auction began.

For Rachel, the real drama was about to start.

On the auction stage.

Today, Ivy Sumrs wore a light blue cheongsam, elegant and harmonious, with tailored lines outlining her slender figure.

Her black hair was tied up, her face obscured by a thin veil. As she walked, the gentle breeze subtly revealed the perfect contours beneath it.

People always said that under her veil was an extrely ugly face.

Yet her naturally aloof and indifferent aura captivated others, even without seeing her face.

Standing on the auction stage, Ivy calmly took in everything below, imdiately noticing the front row.

In that instant when their gazes t, Ivy’s eyes flickered.

eting Damien’s gaze, they locked eyes for two seconds, then she subtly raised her eyebrow and looked elsewhere indifferently.

Damien’s gaze, however, remained fixed on her, drawn to her allure.

Seeing this scene, Rachel gritted her teeth and muttered under her breath, "Bitch!"

She silently shifted her gaze to a corner where Nina Sumrs stood, nodding slightly.

Indicating that everything was ready.

Rachel’s initially bad mood improved slightly.

Today, she was determined to uncover that ugly face beneath the veil.

See how she could seduce n then.

She had even arranged for reporters to have that ugly face exposed to everyone.

Nina was just about to proceed with the arrangents when she turned back to find Keith Chambers standing behind her unknowingly.

Nina’s expression stiffened. After a while, she put on a smile. "Keith, why are you standing behind silently?"

Keith squinted his eyes and asked, "Today, that Miss Shaw ca, what did you two talk about?"

"It’s nothing, we are friends, just chatting idly."

"Does Miss Shaw have a grudge against Zinnia?"

"No, where did you hear that they have a grudge?" Nina Sumrs blinked her eyes, linked her arm with Keith Chambers, and smiled gently.

Keith Chambers warned, "Regardless of whether they have a grudge or not, I’m warning you, don’t go up against Zinnia again. She’s the boss’s person; you can’t win."

Nina Sumrs didn’t care; they all said Zinnia was the boss’s person.

Yet she had never seen the boss standing up for Zinnia.

Moreover, how could the big boss fancy an ugly one?

Anyway, she had already made plans; once she succeeded in getting close to Rachel Shaw, she wouldn’t be afraid of anything.

Nina Sumrs casually deceived Keith Chambers for a few sentences and chose to stick to her plan.

The auction had already started.

Tonight, there were mainly jewelry items, with each piece starting at a high price.

Damien Lancaster showed no interest in these items, his gaze focused on the woman’s hand holding the gavel at the auction table.

Ivy Sumrs’ fingers were pale and slender, soft as if without bones when holding, yet very painful when slapped.

Her hand didn’t have any jewelry on it.

Ivy Sumrs seed not to like wearing jewelry much, but her hand would indeed look more beautiful with so.

A diamond ring was being auctioned, and Damien Lancaster raised his paddle without hesitation.

Ivy Sumrs glanced over, locking eyes with Damien Lancaster, hesitated for a mont, and then raised her hand to signal, clearly announcing, "Front row, Mr. Lancaster bids fifteen million!"

Hearing Damien Lancaster’s bid, Rachel Shaw’s eyes flashed with surprise.

Why would Damien Lancaster bid on a ring?

Could it be for her?

Indeed, they were almost getting married, yet hadn’t picked out a ring.

Damien Lancaster’s action made Rachel Shaw lift her head, receiving envious glances from around.

Everyone assud this ring was being auctioned by Damien Lancaster for Rachel Shaw.

Every ti Damien Lancaster bid, it was with certainty, and those present were sharp, not raising their paddles again.

But at this mont, a bid ca from the second floor, "Thirty million!"

Ivy Sumrs looked up, but the second-floor bid was made by a subordinate, hiding the bidder’s true identity.

Yet such a doubled bid, a leap of fifteen million, was rarely seen by Ivy Sumrs in the auction house over the years, and it was the biggest leap of the night so far.

"A bid of thirty million from the second-floor box, is there anyone willing to bid higher than thirty million?"

The crowd below heard this and looked up, wanting to see who the person upstairs was.

A leap of fifteen million was really not low.

Damien Lancaster, however, remained calm, sitting there indifferently as he raised his paddle again, "Fifty million."

"Wow!"

An exclamation rose from the audience.

Rachel Shaw looked at Damien Lancaster with shocked eyes.

Clearly, Damien Lancaster was determined to get this ring.

Ivy Sumrs looked at Damien Lancaster in confusion; why was he bidding for a ring, was it for Rachel Shaw?

But he clearly knew Rachel Shaw was responsible for Old Master Lancaster’s death, keeping her was for revenge on the engagent day.

Why spend so much money to buy her a ring?

Did Damien Lancaster have so much money he didn’t know where to spend it?

"Front row, Mr. Lancaster bids fifty million, fifty million, would the guests on the second floor like to try bidding again?"

Second floor: "Seventy million."

Damien Lancaster raised his paddle calmly, "One hundred million."

Not giving the crowd a chance to react, waves of astonishnt followed.

Upstairs, "One hundred fifty million."

"Two hundred million."

Damien Lancaster’s calm voice rang out again.

Rachel Shaw was completely unsettled.

Did Damien Lancaster care so much about her?

Was he determined to bid on this ring for her?

She couldn’t help but feel overjoyed in her heart.

Upstairs went quiet. The subordinate bidding on behalf didn’t finish speaking before Damien Lancaster responded without even looking, "I am determined to get it."

No one had ever taken anything from Damien Lancaster’s hands.

If anyone did, they would definitely offend him and et a miserable end.

The second floor remained silent for a while; Ivy Sumrs reminded the second floor several tis, but there was no movent; it seed they had given up. In the end, this ring was auctioned off by Damien Lancaster.

Two hundred million!

Ivy Sumrs estimated the final price not to exceed fifty million, but Damien Lancaster spent two hundred million.

It seed tomorrow’s news would again be Damien Lancaster spending a fortune to win a beauty’s smile.

The ring was delivered to Damien Lancaster.

The man opened the velvet box, and the ring inside sparkled brilliantly.

It would certainly look beautiful on Ivy Sumrs’ hand.

Damien Lancaster was in a good mood.

Next to him, Rachel Shaw was in an even better mood.

At this mont, all eyes were on them.

Rachel Shaw knew very well that as long as Damien Lancaster put this ring on her finger, the humiliation she suffered before would an nothing, and no one would dare to look down on her in the future.

Rachel Shaw couldn’t wait any longer, watching Damien Lancaster take out the ring, she couldn’t suppress her excitent, raised her hand and willingly extended it, "Damien, thank you..."
