Anna told Naila everything about herself.
While on the other hand, Naila was listening intently without interrupting in the slightest, her expression was very serious.
After an hour had passed, Anna finally stopped, taking a deep breath. Then resud her story, regarding her recent encounter with Brian which forced her to marry and live in this Mansion.
"So how the bruises on your body at that ti?" Naila asked, sohow she suddenly felt a little emotional.
Anna nodded.
"And you keep quiet? Why don't you scream for help?" Naila asked, she couldn't understand how Anna had survived until now.
"I've tried, many tis. But ti again he threatened to harm Dave."
"I ignored him once and tried to avoid him, but after that Dave disappeared. Do you rember what happened at the shopping mall the other day? It was Brian's doing. He could harm my son at any mont, Naila, so I had no choice but to obey him."
"You didn't tell Nicho about this?"
"No," Anna replied, nodding weakly. "I've troubled the man a lot, I don't want to add to his burden anymore," Anna added later.
"Then you always co ho late these days because of that guy?" asked Naila.
Anna shook her head, "I did that on purpose because I didn't want you and Dave to see my wound. I…I didn't want to make other people worry about ."
"Then that man nad Devan, have you ever t him again?" Naila asked curiously.
Anna was silent for a mont.
"Don't tell you've t him before?" asked Naila again trying to guess.
Seeing Anna's reaction to silence, Naila sighed harshly.
"Seeing your reaction, it looks like you've t him," said Naila.
"Every day," Anna added and managed to make Naila gape.
"What?"
"In his ho."
"What do you an? You…you et Devan every day at…his ho? Right?" Naila asked wanting to clarify as if she couldn't believe such a coincidence.
Anna nodded.
"And you didn't tell him that you had a child with him?"
Anna nodded again.
Instantly Naila rubbed her face roughly, feeling like she want to curse Anna right then and there because of her stupidity. How could she live in such a state?
"That man is my boss at the office, and because the Maid in his ho returning to her hotown, so I was transferred to his house for a while," said Anna again.
"You see him every day, serve him, and you never ntion your son?"
"I'm scared," Anna answered briefly, then lay down on the back of the sofa, staring at the ceiling.
"What things do I have that makes able to be next to him, Naila? I'm just an orphan with and poor life, my appearance is very ordinary. I have nothing to be proud of, while he? He has it all."
"Who said you have nothing? You have Dave, Anna, and the existence of your son is enough reason for you to tell him," Naila chirped, for so reason, she suddenly felt angry to hear what the woman next to her said.
"No. Let take care of Dave, Naila."
"Anna, I want to call you STUPID."
"I know," replied Anna, glancing at Naila with a smile.
"He already has a fiancé, Naila. I don't want to ruin anyone's relationship."
"After all Dave was born not only because of that guy's fault but also because of . I'm the one who can't take care of myself properly. If only I didn't go into the bar that night, I might never have t him."
"I've thought about this and decided, I'll take care of Dave alone."
"Dave is my only son," she added.
Hearing all Anna's words, Naila's feelings raged, feelings of emotion and anger raged within her. Whereas, here she only takes the role of a listener. She couldn't imagine what it was like to be Anna living such a life.
A mont of silence took over, both of them seed lost in their thoughts.
"Does Mr. Nicho know about this matter?" Naila asked after a few seconds of silence.
"No, this is the first ti I've told soone," Anna shook her head back.
Naila was silent, it ant the woman next to her trusted her a lot.
"What Nicho knows is the outline, how my life was before eting him. In that case, I didn't tell him anything about Dave's father."
"Didn't Mr. Nicho ever ask you?"
Anna tilted her head towards Naila, "I can't even count how many tis he's asked about that," Anna replied.
"Why don't you just say it?"
"For what? There's nothing to gain for the man. Plus I don't want to make him worry about . I don't want to make other people feel burdened by my presence, Naila."
"So I chose to keep it and bear it myself. It is better."
Naila took a deep breath.
"I know you are strong, Anna. I know that soone has broken your trust. But you can't use that as an excuse to carry all your burdens."
"You're human, you're a woman, sotis depending and holding on to others is a natural thing, don't torture yourself just because of the heartache you've ever felt," added Naila looking at Anna seriously.
"You've just never been in my shoes Naila. You never experience the feeling of being abandoned by the people around you, since my mother died, I have lived alone. Do it all and survive on your own. The man I trusted also betrayed , and that made it clearer that I was alone from the start." Anna said, her voice hoarse, her eyes staring at the ceiling slowly blurred because of the clear grains that seed to have started to the crowd and are now filling her eyelids.
"You are not alone Anna. You are never alone. You only close your heart from the people around you," replied Naila.
"You are so caught up in your problems and feelings that you don't realize that soone around you might be paying attention to you.... like Mr. Nicho," she added.
"I understand your feelings, Anna. You have such thoughts as a form of self-defense."
"But for how long? don't wait until your problems get worse and deadlock, Anna," Naila chattered continuously, trying to make Anna understand that her thinking that she always felt alone was a big mistake.
"Erm, and that's how I am now."
"Too much fear is lodged in , making it difficult for to make decisions," she added.
"And if Brian hadn't locked you in this house, maybe you would still have kept it to yourself?" Naila said and only replied with a bland smile from Anna.
