Dilan had already expected the system to be sowhat fair. Weaker races without any special racial traits generally received more benefits from the system while others received less benefits to provide equal opportunity to everyone.
Vampires were still stronger than humans, even if humans got two additional passive ability spots.
It was just that humans could beco more versatile and that their passive abilities could be used in combination with the choice of their occupation and so on.
As long as one picked the right active and passive abilities, it was possible for certain humans to rival a Vampire’s racial traits.
Dilan’s [Immunity] was a great example for this. It was already extrely powerful but when combined with [Regeneration] it was simply exceptional!
‘By the way…why didn’t I upgrade [Immunity] to a much higher tier yet?’ Dilan asked himself in confusion. He was still missing a ‘few’ Infected Essences to upgrade Immunity but it was not like the trading hub was facing any shortage of the sa.
There may not be any zombies left in Shiron but that didn’t an they all Infected Essence crystals had been wiped off the face of the planet as well. Dilan shook his head, thinking that he was plain stupid for forgetting to upgrade his passive ability [Immunity].
In the past few weeks, life had been a roller coaster which was why Dilan had forgotten to upgrade his passive abilities. He was solely focused on searching for a great new active ability but casually forgot to think about increasing the number of his passive abilities.
“Maybe I should think about getting more passive abilities now…” Dilan mumbled before he heard sothing from above. He looked and his gaze followed the direction Yvonne’s finger pointed to.
“A huge horde of Lightning-hooved Goats are there! One of them seems pretty strong,” Yvonne shouted the mont she shot in the direction.
She didn’t want to give Dilan the opportunity to kill all the monsters in the big group, especially since she wanted to level up and gain status points as well. However, the strong monster she had ntioned just a mont before was not sothing she could handle.
Dilan could face it single-handedly while she, Kathrine, and Victoria would defeat the rest.
“A strong monster?” He asked in interest and activated [Thunder Step] at once.
His Agility was now only close to 120 Units, while electricity currents shrouded his bare feet but it was as if everything turned irrelevant the mont he heard about the powerful monster.
He dashed in the direction Yvonne was headed, pinpointed at the powerful monster in a mont while the adrenaline began to course through his body.
“Double-headed thunder goat? Seems like a nice catch!” Dilan mumbled as he activated [Second Acceleration] as well.
‘How about I try sothing new?’ He wondered, thinking that a change of approach might be nice.
His Agility skyrocketed to more than 150 Units and he passed by the quickly flying Yvonne in a breeze. Dilan crossed a distance of several hundred ters in an instant. When he reached the goats, Dilan didn’t think twice as he jumped in the air. His angle was sharp, which was why he shot like a rocket and hovered in the air at a height of barely five ters from the ground.
The speed he had accumulated allowed him to jump over a hundred ters through the air but that was not even necessary as he smashed into one of the heads of the double-headed thunder goat. The goat’s neck didn’t break and it looked like it was barely affected after soone smashed its head with a speed comparable to a high-velocity train at full speed.
Dilan smiled when he smashed into one of the Double-headed thunder goat’s heads. It was the strongest monster he had encountered since the day he fought the Thunderbolt Eagle, and funnily enough, it was also a monster that owned the Lightning attribute.
He was surrounded by all of the goats that took note of him the mont Dilan appeared in their midst. They discharged their bolts of lightning and spread it like a tightly woven net to injure, paralyze and kill Dilan. It was almost as if the goats had just been waiting for him to attack them but Dilan could only smile at their futile efforts.
He kicked out using his bare foot, and smashed the large double-headed thunder goat’s head into the ground before he twisted his body.
With a smooth motion, he did a sorsault before using his accumulated montum to jump back into the air. The Thunderbolt daggers manifested in his hands as he pierced upward the mont he propelled himself back into the air.
When he released all of his strength at once, the ground below him burst open, throwing dirt and rubble everywhere. A small crater was created while the double-headed thunder goat was flung upward. A painful squeal escaped the monster’s mouth as the Thunderbolt daggers pierced through the soft area below the chin of the goat’s head he had landed upon.
Blood spurted in Dilan’s face but he didn’t even shield his eyes because he couldn’t allow the goat to gain the opportunity to counterattack.
His body continued to shoot upward through the accumulated montum of his jump and the net of lightning hit Dilan for the first ti.
He flinched and clearly felt that his movents had turned sluggish. anwhile, the double-headed thunder goat seed to gain so of its strength. This was sothing Dilan had not expected and he knew that he had to do sothing to finish the monster imdiately.
It had a high Health stat and it was quite powerful, which was sothing Dilan realized the mont it discharged its own electricity currents as well.
The double-headed thunder goat was able to release bolts of lightning that rivaled that of Kathrine. However, in comparison to the lethal force of the Thunderbolt Eagle, the attack of the double-headed thunder goat was still a joke.
Dilan smiled the mont the double-headed thunder goat attacked him. The pain of the attack spread through his entire body but that was like a wake-up call, which allowed him to take the fight seriously.
He was still high in the air and an easy target for all kinds of attacks. A spear manifested out of compressed flashes of lightning appeared next to the double-headed thunder goat. The monster was enraged because it had lost control over one of its two heads and Dilan, the perpetrator, was the reason.
He had to die, otherwise, the double-headed thunder goat would never be able to rest again.
However, just when the lightning spear blasted in Dilan’s direction, a blazing serpent erged in Dilan’s hand. The double-headed thunder goat was baffled about the blazing serpent that shot towards its limp head, only to realize that Dilan inched closer all of a sudden.
The lightning spear grazed Dilan as he blasted past it.
“Even if it doesn’t injure you, it doesn’t an that it’s useless!” Dilan gritted his teeth as he made use of the Blazing Serpentine Blade.
He might not be able to move mid-air on his own as Yvonne could due to her special trait but he was able to make use of the Blazing Serpentine Blade’s 20-ter-long serpentine form!
One of the Thunderbolt daggers had disappeared in his storage ring and was replaced by the Blazing Serpentine Blade that was coiled around the limp head of the double-headed thunder goat. He pulled himself closer and used the montum to catapult his body straight onto the remaining head, which Dilan pierced through using the other Thunderbolt dagger.
The razor-sharp blade made out of the Thunderbolt eagle’s talon created a loud rending sound as it penetrated through the goat’s skull before it sliced through its soft brain.
‘I really need to work on my form…and aerial fights…’
