"Sir Henry, if you could follow , please," a guard addressed the leader of the Outlaws. His voice was calm and composed, despite who he was speaking to.

With a silent nod, Henry followed the guards, though he wasn't in the best of moods. He had paid more than he originally expected for the elf—but that didn't change the fact that he had acquired her, nevertheless.

He quickly found himself in a chamber. The blonde man who had led the bidding during the auction was already inside, the elf standing behind him.

A smile appeared on his face as he saw who had entered, "Ah Sir Henry!" he exclaid with a bow.

"I'm glad you decided to buy the elf. But you know, there was no need to take part in the bidding. You've done enough for the city—it's practically yours. You could have taken her, and not a soul would've complained."

Henry couldn't help but scoff at the words, "Sadly you are wrong since I am a mber of the council I have to do these things legally. If Solara or the other mbers caught a hint of acquiring an elf for free hell will follow, even if I am strong I am not foolish enough to go against them." At the end his voice got a bit harsher since it was tough admitting there were people he didn't want to piss off.

There were downsides to being a mber of the council, but there were upsides as well. Thanks to them, he had accumulated an enormous amount of wealth.

The blonde man nodded in understanding. "If that's what you believe, who am I to argue?" With a step to the side, he gestured toward the elf.

"I assu you already know, but the truth is—we've yet to bind her soul with a slave contract. Her will is simply that strong. We haven't found a person capable of containing it."

Even if that fact was already known to Henry the blonde man couldn't help but sound apologetic. While selling an elf was an honor few would be able to brag about, it was an enormous failure no one had been able to overco her will.

"There is no need to worry." Henry exclaid as he took a step closer to her, "If we attempt the ritual again, this ti tying her to my soul, she'll have no choice but to obey. After all, I doubt her will is stronger than mine!" He erupted into laughter, locking eyes with the blonde man for a brief mont.

"Yes, yes a skillful person that handles these affairs will co any second now!" the man reassured him.

"Good," Henry muttered as he stepped even closer to the stunning elf. Despite the situation she was in, there wasn't a trace of fear in her expression—and for so reason, that excited him even more.

"I know your kind. Even when they find themselves in the most degrading situations they are too prideful to admit defeat or that they are scared." His voice was cold and mocking, licking his lips he continued, "But rest assured once I get my hands on you your expression will quickly change."

Unable to wait for the procedure to happen Henry extended his hand forward, he wanted to fold her beautiful breasts.

Before he could touch her however he was stopped by the blonde man.

Raising an eyebrow Henry questioned, clear anger in his voice, "What do you think you are doing?"

The smile on the blonde man was long gone replaced by an expression of worry, "You might not know a lot about elves but I will strongly advise against touching her, even in her current setting she can be deadly."

With a scoff, Henry pushed the man aside and turned his attention to the elf. Her hands and feet were bound in titanium chains that severely restricted her movent. No matter how strong she was, he was certain no one could break free from restraints like those.

As such he decided to ignore the warning of the man and began to reach out once more. His hand was inches away from touching her. The elf still did not show any kind of emotion on her face, almost like she wasn't frightened in the slightest.

But Henry knew that she was just acting. 'I know you must be scared deep inside but your pride doesn't allow you to show it! No matter once I—'

BANG!

His thoughts as well as his actions were interrupted as the door to the room was burst open.

Startled, Henry turned toward the source of the sound. They had been expecting soone who could create the slave contract—but he was certain it wasn't them. The door hadn't opened; it had been blown apart.

"Ugh!"

Hearing a pained moan, he shifted his gaze to where the shattered door had landed at the far end of the room. His eyes widened as he saw the guard he'd sent after the man who had opposed him during the bidding—now lying motionless on the ground.

The man looked like he was monts away from dying. There were dozens of cuts around his body, all of them deadly deep.

"What can I say? It seems that I got lucky for once!" A voice called out from beyond the shattered doorway. A mont later, a figure stepped into view a man clad in white robes with a white demonic mask on his face.

Henry knew imdiately who that person was after all it hadn't been long since there had been a bounty set for his head, "GHOST!" Henry shouted in panic and worry.

He quickly shifted his gaze to the side and questioned one of his guards, "Where is the security?! Wasn't this place crawling with guards just a few minutes ago?!" This worried him to no end, if the guards weren't coming here even after the sound it will either an they were dead or that they had betrayed the establishnt and the city.

Hearing the panicked voice of Henry, Zaroth couldn't help but smile behind the mask, lifting his odachi he pointed it at the man.

"They are too busy dealing with the others so you are on your own!" His voice was commanding making every person in the room break out in sweat.

'He said the others?! So he isn't alone! Whatever the case I must get rid of him!' Henry thought as he prepared to fight to the death, alongside his guards.

Zaroth chuckled when he saw the dread on their faces, "You are one of the mbers of the council no?... Then let's see what you are capable of!" he declared and dashed forward getting ready to kill all the people in the room.

Before storming in, he'd eavesdropped and confird his suspicion: for so reason, the elf hadn't been bound to a slave contract. That ant she'd be unhard by what was about to happen—and nothing was stopping him!

While this was happening, the elf took a few graceful steps back, watching the scene unfold with keen interest. For the first ti, a flicker of emotion crossed her face as her seductive, slender lips curled—just slightly—as she whispered.

"How amusing."
