Chapter One Hundred Nineteen
Long Xiaoshan gulped down the red wine, and his complexion changed slightly.
He was a Divine Doctor.
He was particularly sensitive to dicines.
With one gulp, he knew that the red wine had been tampered with.
A flash of anger crossed his eyes. Alright, Long Fakui indeed hadn’t given up. He wanted to expose them imdiately, but he restrained himself, wanting instead to see what these two were up to.
Long Xiaoshan finished the drink without changing his expression.
Then he looked at Jin Lian again.
Being watched by Long Xiaoshan made Jin Lian feel sowhat guilty, and she lowered her head.
Next, they continued to eat and drink, with Long Fakui urging frequently, but he himself did not drink anymore. He just had Jin Lian keep Long Xiaoshan company with drinking, all the while squinting and monitoring Long Xiaoshan’s reactions.
As Long Xiaoshan drank, he felt a burning heat rising within him.
He knew this was a reaction from the tampered drink.
Not only did the wine contain an aphrodisiac, there was also sothing to induce dizziness.
Long Xiaoshan quickly forced those substances out with his True Qi.
Then he pretended to be sowhat dizzy as if he were about to pass out.
"Xiaoshan, Xiaoshan, what’s wrong?" Long Fakui asked with feigned concern.
"I’m feeling a bit dizzy."
"Dizzy? You must have drunk too much," Long Fakui said, a trace of delight appearing on his face. It seed the dicine was taking effect.
Long Xiaoshan shook his head and slumped hazily over the table.
"How could you drink too much? Co, go rest a bit." Long Fakui signalled to Jin Lian with his eyes.
Jin Lian sat immobile, prompting Long Fakui to glare at her fiercely.
Out of necessity, Jin Lian stood up and, together with Long Fakui, helped Long Xiaoshan to a room and laid him on a bed.
Once Long Fakui left,
Long Xiaoshan suddenly opened his eyes, staring coldly at her. Jin Lian, seeing Long Xiaoshan suddenly open his eyes with that icy gaze, was so startled she almost scread.
But Long Xiaoshan was quick to react, covering her mouth and pressing her down on the bed.
Long Xiaoshan’s Spirit Eye swept out, seeing that Long Fakui had gone out into the courtyard.
He said coldly, "What are you trying to do?"
Jin Lian never expected that Long Xiaoshan wasn’t actually drugged, and panic flashed in her eyes.
Long Xiaoshan, keeping his hand over Jin Lian’s mouth, didn’t let her speak.
He said coldly, "You lured here, drugged my wine to set a trap, didn’t you? I pass out, you sleep with , leaving evidence, then Long Fakui gets you to accuse ."
Jin Lian panicked.
Long Xiaoshan had completely spelled out their plan.
Seeing Jin Lian’s panicked state,
Long Xiaoshan grew even angrier.
Those mories hidden deep within resurfaced.
Inside your heart, it was as if sothing dark had erupted.
He whispered in Jin Lian’s ear, "Do as I say, or I’ll strangle you!"
In the courtyard, Long Fakui’s expression twisted.
Impatience could spoil a great plan; evidence had to be left in Jin Lian’s body to forge solid proof—a decisive strike to bring down Long Xiaoshan. This was his last chance. Repeated failures had taught him that he was no longer a match for Long Xiaoshan.
Money, Long Xiaoshan had more.
Influence, Long Xiaoshan had the support of the White Lily faction, which he couldn’t compete with.
He had lost thoroughly.
But he couldn’t reconcile himself to that, his resentnt towards Long Xiaoshan growing. If it weren’t for him, he would still be the tyrant of Longyang Village.
Ever since Long Xiaoshan returned, everything had changed.
Not only could the factory not continue operating,
But he had even been detained.
He was filled with hatred.
That’s why he concocted this conspiracy: first, to show submission, and then, to completely disgrace Long Xiaoshan.
This plan was foolproof. Although it ant sacrificing his woman, he had many others. He had kept mistresses in the county and fathered sons. As for Jin Lian, who couldn’t bear him a son, he had long given up on her.
Long Fakui heard Jin Lian calling from the room, "Fakui, it’s done, co in."
Knowing that the deed had been done, he hurried inside,
Feeling a strong wave of excitent. Long Xiaoshan was finished. He pushed open the door forcefully, saw Jin Lian standing there, fully clothed, and was montarily stunned, then suddenly felt a heavy blow to his head.
Without a sound, Long Fakui collapsed to the ground.
Long Xiaoshan threw Long Fakui into the room.
"You killed him," Jin Lian said in a panic.
Long Xiaoshan said coldly, "What do you think?"
"You conspired against , and you expect to be civil towards you?"
Thinking about how she had been forced by Long Fakui to do such a shaless act, and now exposed and coldly regarded by Long Xiaoshan, Jin Lian couldn’t hold back her grief and suddenly took a pair of scissors from the bedside table and stabbed them towards herself.
