"I can indeed help you, but shouldn't you two show so appreciation?"
With that, Ye Feng kept glancing at the won, but his face was still full of anticipation.
"You little lecher, there are more and more people here, stop it already."
Zhang Zihan's face was filled with urgency, eager to rush into the Guanyin Temple, fearing there wouldn't be space.
"If you two give
a kiss, I'll take you inside." Ye Feng looked at the two won with a cheeky smile, quietly waiting for their reactions.
But Ye Feng knew that the villagers were just entering, and there were plenty of empty spots inside.
Moreover, a few dia teams were inside filming, and quite a few police officers were maintaining order.
As long as they got in, there would still be room.
It only seed crowded because everyone was squeezed at the entrance.
"Hurry up." Zhang Zihan appeared sowhat impatient and kissed Ye Feng on the right cheek.
"Let's go," Zhang Zihan imdiately said.
"But there's still the other side, isn't there?" Ye Feng remained motionless, looking at Jiang Ying on the other side.
Jiang Ying didn't hesitate at all, imdiately leaning in to kiss Ye Feng on the left cheek.
"Alright, alright, now let's go."
Seeing the two won impatiently stomping their feet, Ye Feng found it amusing. However, he knew that if he teased them further, it might backfire.
Ye Feng lightly patted the won on the *** and wrapped his arms around their slender waists. The three of them instantly disappeared.
When they reappeared, Ye Feng and the two won were standing in front of a hidden clearing inside the Guanyin Temple. No one noticed the sudden appearance of the three.
Inside the Guanyin Temple, Jiang Ying imdiately grabbed Zhang Zihan's hand, squeezing through the crowd, until they finally reached the front.
Seeing that it was two young, beautiful won squeezing through, no one said anything. Ye Feng followed the two, skillfully moving to the front of the crowd.
At that mont, a large area in front of the crowd was cleared, with a lot of people standing there. These people were from the old lady's village.
Many people from the village had co, forming a line to be here.
Leading the line were the old lady and a middle-aged man, now wearing expressions of deep devotion.
The group kneeled before the Guanyin Statue.
"Do you think there's really any divine manifestation?"
A man next to Ye Feng asked his friend quietly. Not just him, but everyone there had deep doubts about the authenticity of the event.
"How could it be possible, how could there be divine beings in this world?"
The man's friend answered without hesitation.
"If there really were gods, why would only this old lady see them? People should have known about it long ago."
The man's friend analyzed seriously.
"I think so too. This must be sothing they made up. Bringing in the dia makes it obvious they're seeking attention, trying to stir things up."
The man voiced his opinion.
"Haha, let's just watch and see what happens after this group finishes their worship."
The man's face showed amusent, clearly not believing any divine manifestation would happen.
"When nothing happens, we'll expose their lies to the dia!"
The two quickly agreed, waiting for the villagers to finish kneeling.
But as Ye Feng observed, many shared the sa thoughts as these two n. More than half sought to expose the lies as well.
Knowing their thoughts, a wave of helplessness washed over Ye Feng.
A slight cold smile appeared on his face, thinking to himself.
Who knows who's more ignorant?
As murmurs began in the crowd, the villagers comnced their worship.
Their movents were incredibly coordinated, clearly believing the event to be of utmost importance.
The group bowed three tis in perfect unison.
It was as if they had completed sothing monuntal, rising slowly without any change in expression.
The old lady stepped out of the line.
In front of everyone, she respectfully picked up three incense sticks, lighting them with great solemnity.
"Stop pretending. How could there be gods? You're all just here for attention, a bunch of country folk trying to hype themselves up."
A voice with ill-tid sarcasm ca from the crowd.
Yet the villagers carried on with their worship, unfazed by the mockery. This ritual was sothing their village had researched for a long ti.
They couldn't afford any mistakes in this ceremony, at least that's what they believed.
However, Ye Feng could clearly see so young people in the village trembled a bit, but quickly regained composure.
Once the old lady finished placing the incense, she quickly returned to the line, and the villagers again kneeled three tis before the Guanyin Statue, each bow lasting more than three seconds.
Once standing, it was clear the ritual had concluded.
"Weren't there supposed to be gods? Show us the miracle then!"
As soon as the villagers finished their ceremony, the crowd erupted in chatter.
"Don't you know it's disrespectful to doubt the divine?"
The old lady swiftly turned around, looking at the scene with a slight tremor in her body.
"Look at you, still pretending, isn't this getting old?"
Another skeptical voice erged from the crowd.
"We're not pretending, the whole village saw the Bodhisattva Guanyin manifest, it's true."
A young man, unable to tolerate the mocking, rolled up his sleeves ready to charge into the crowd.
But a middle-aged man behind him firmly held his shoulders.
He gestured towards the Guanyin Statue, indicating that Guanyin was watching.
"What, you got caught in your lie and want to fight now? Hillbillies, just leave!"
A man in the crowd imdiately taunted.
"These country folk want to get famous through this, at least co up with sothing more believable. Who'd believe the Bodhisattva Guanyin manifested?"
The crowd's mocking echoed nonstop.
"If you want to prove you're not lying, show us everything then."
At this point, the old lady looked troubled, unsure if she could summon the Bodhisattva Guanyin. If she failed, it would ruin the village's reputation.
"Grandma, show them, the divine really exists!"
A short young man could no longer bear the surrounding scorn. He begged the old lady to demonstrate.
"Silly child, stop asking, there are no gods, you big liars, get lost! Stop using the divine as a tool for money."
Soone shouted from the crowd.
Then.
"Big liars, big liars!"
The crowd continually yelled, accusing them of being liars.
So began throwing things at the villagers.
"Sigh!" The old lady watched all this in silence, feeling helpless.
She sighed gently, bringing her hands together before the Guanyin Statue.
"Boom!"
A sudden clap of thunder roared from the sky.
After the thunder, the previously noisy Guanyin Temple beca incredibly silent.
"Who dares doubt my believers?"
A majestic voice resounded in everyone's ears!
