Chapter 143: How to Kill a Demon

After settling Elsa’s pocket world into the World Tree, Benjamin and his group continued onward.

They encountered many demons along the way and eventually reached another pocket world.

“Is it here?”

The Ancient One nodded.

“Yes. She should be sowhere in this pocket world.”

Upon entering the pocket world, they were greeted with a ruined town.

The streets seed to be filled with the aftermath of a huge battle. Presumably, the demons had long invaded this world and razed it to the ground.

Illyana frowned.

“Seriously, what’s the deal with these demons? Demons haven’t been rampant in Limbo ever since Belasco died.”

“Co to think of it, since Belasco is gone, who was the new ruler of Limbo?”

Benjamin asked.

“Technically, . But I don’t really stick around here much. Did so upstart demon try to rule over Limbo?”

Illyana shrugged.

“Hm? By the way, you said Belasco is gone. Is he dead? How did you kill him?”

The Ancient One asked.

“Of course, by stabbing him with my sword and bursting him into bits and pieces!”

Illyana snorted.

The Ancient One fell silent and sighed.

“I believe this Belasco is still alive. Demons don’t die from just that. They would only return to Hell.”

“...You’ve got to be kidding …”

Illyana cursed.

Her anger surging again as she now knows her enemy was still alive and kicking. And most likely, had returned to Limbo.

“I’m gonna kill that son of a bitch!”

As if to vent her anger, Illyana waved her sword a few tis at a random structure near her.

Tony turned to the Ancient One.

“So uhh, what we’ve been doing so far…we’re just sending the demons back to Hell?”

“Hm? No. I’ve been using my hellfire to clean up the area each ti so they should be dead for real.”

Benjamin added.

The Ancient One nodded and explained.

“It is true that one of the ways to kill a demon is with the fires of Hell itself.”

“Cool. Any other ways we, mainly , can kill a demon?”

Tony asked.

“Other ways would be using an exorcism spell but that would usually need the demon to be bound for a period of ti.”

“...Any other ways?”

The Ancient One shook her head.

“Demons…aren’t my field of expertise. The only thod I know is the sorcerer's way. Besides, we usually don’t resort to imdiately killing a demon. Usually, sending them back to Hell would be enough since it isn’t so easy to breach the realm of mortals from Hell. Other ways would be sealing them in a magical container or banishing them into the Mirror Dinsion.”

“And none of those can apply to …”

Tony sighed.

Benjamin thought for a mont then walked towards Tony.

“Hand so of those Prothium you got earlier.”

“Hm? What for?”

“Just testing.”

Holding a chunk of Prothium in his hands, Benjamin conjured the Hellfire once more and lted the ore.

Then, using his telekinesis, he ford the ore to wrap around Tony’s gauntlets.

Soon, a skeletal fra appeared around Tony’s gauntlets which burned in blue fla.

“...Aweso.”

Tony’s eyes sparkled inside his helt as he waved his hands which should be hot from the flas yet remained as cool as ever.

Benjamin glanced at Tony with half-closed eyes and reminded him.

“For a limited ti only.”

“...Tch.”

Benjamin ignored Tony’s clicking of tongue and turned to Illyana.

“Show your soulsword.”

“Quick! Quick!”

Illyana excitedly tossed the sword to Benjamin, who then imbued it with the power of Hellfire.

After he was done, he saw the Ancient One looking at him with two daggers already on hand.

“...”

Benjamin sighed and did the sa. Naturally, he had to coat it with Prothium too, as Benjamin could tell that Prothium was quite compatible with Hellfire.

How did he know? Well, it was just a gut feeling and he did test it with Tony first to see if it would work.

“There. Everyone’s equipped properly now. Let’s go.”

The group then continued to follow the floating pen and eventually, they reached an abandoned building.

Benjamin frowned as he looked at the building.

“I can sense multiple living beings in the building.”

“Demons?”

Tony asked and Benjamin shook his head.

“No. Humans.”

“Huh. They must be survivors then.”

Benjamin then glanced at the ground beneath his feet.

“There’s plenty more underground too. This should be a survival camp.”

“What are we waiting for then? Let’s go.”

Tony urged them and walked ahead.

As they reached the building, several figures appeared around them, pointing guns and blades at them.

“They’ve entered the Devil’s Trap! Do it, Sam!”

“Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus…”

“Oh? It’s a bit different from the one I know but this should be an exorcism chant? And the markings below us…it seems to be for restraining demons.”

The Ancient One glanced at the people around them and the strange marking beneath them.

Just in ti, the one called Sam had finished his chant.

“...omnis congregatio et secta diabolica!”

“...”

Silence.

“What the hell, Sam!? Did you not chant it properly!?”

“I chanted it properly! Maybe it’s your devil’s trap that didn’t work, Dean!”

Two of the people around them started bickering while the others tightened their grip on their weapons.

At this ti, Tony raised his hand.

“Umm, excuse ? What part of us exactly made you think we’re demons?”

“What part!? You’re a man made of tal with flaming skull hands, that girl has horns with a flaming sword. That lady’s bald, and that guy…is more handso than ! Which is impossible!”

The one called Dean answered back.

“...”

Benjamin was speechless.

Not just with his answer.

But rather their nas.

Sam and Dean? And they’re both wearing denim jackets? Devil’s Trap? Exorcism chant?

Is this…the Supernatural world?

[Not entirely. The Supernatural-verse is a different matter entirely. To put it in simple terms, this pocket world is an incomplete Supernatural world. A re reality shard reflecting a much wider Supernatural universe. It is similar to the pocket world Elsa ca from.]

“Enough, you two. Since the chant didn’t work, these people are obviously not demons.”

An old man with a balding head scolded the two and lowered his weapon.

“But Bobby, they’re clearly not human either!”

Dean frowned.

Bobby glared at him to keep quiet before turning back to Benjamin and the others.

“Sorry about those two. They’re young and annoying.”

“It’s fine. They have the right to be suspicious of us.”

“Outsiders like you…ca from outside this world, ain’t ya? Mind telling us why you’re visiting?”

“We’re looking for one Abigail Callaghan. We know she’s here.”

Bobby frowned.

“Never heard of the na.”

“No need to lie. I can tell. Besides, we an no harm. Her father’s been looking for her.”

Bobby raised his gun back up.

“I said, she ain’t here.”

Benjamin sighed.

He waved his hand and the pen beside the Ancient One flowed towards him.

“See this pen? This is hers. With so magic, it can detect her general location. And would you look at that? It’s pointing straight downwards.”

“...”

Bobby fell silent.

At this mont, Benjamin could hear a voice from Bobby’s ears.

It seems Bobby was wearing an earpiece and soone was talking to him.

“It’s fine, let them in.”

“But-”

“I recognize the pen…which ans they should be from outside this universe. They may be our only chance to leave this hellhole.”

“...Fine.”

Bobby glanced at Benjamin’s group again and nodded.

“Follow .”

AN: This Supernatural crossover isn't gonna be a huge thing. It's just for easier visualization of the characters since I needed so extra characters anyway so I thought, might as well. XD
