Chapter 139: Tadashi
Earth.
Benjamin, along with Hela and Selene, finally returned ho after their trip to Asgard and Heven.
While the two maids of Deaths returned to their posts, Benjamin also checked in on the EPD and other matters that had occurred while he was gone.
First of all, while he was gone, apparently, Tony Stark hosted a concert for a KPOP group called 4L1T in a stadium that he owned.
The manager of the group, feeling the need to add a Wow Factor, purchased an experintal cryo reactor technology that supposedly would generate snow-like effects on the stage.
However, it was a trojan horse by a group called A.I.M. who wanted to infiltrate Stark’s Arena to steal the stabilizer cores from the cold fusion energy reactor powering the building.
A.I.M. quickly took control of the stage, holding everyone inside hostage which left the EPD dispatched a bit helpless.
Well, it was only a bit helpless. It wasn’t that the EPD had no way of dealing with the situation without Benjamin there.
For one, Fury had already dispatched Ant-Man and Wasp to shrink and infiltrate the Arena. However, before they could actually save the day, it seems that the A.I.M. had tossed so KPOP idols into the cryo reactor, thinking it would freeze them to death, only for it to malfunction and give one of the idols cryokinetic abilities…
And so, the situation was handled quickly before the EPD were able to step in and the world gained a new hero, Luna Snow.
Benjamin sighed.
“Seriously, that Tony…does he not have any decent security systems on buildings with such technologies!?”
Benjamin shook his head.
He felt like he wouldn’t be surprised if Tony accidentally made another Ultron…
And that A.I.M. group.
Where on earth did it pop up from?
Fury ntioned that they didn’t learn much from the bunch of A.I.M. grunts that attacked the stadium other than they supposedly take orders from soone called the Scientist Supre.
Benjamin decided he should check in on Callisto and the others in HYDRA as well as Felicia and the Thieves’ Guild to see what their investigations had led to.
But before that…Benjamin decided to pay Tony a visit.
Just to make sure the guy didn’t have any more weird inventions hidden sowhere.
According to Fury, Tony was currently in so kind of tech convention in Tokyo so Benjamin directly went there.
Soon enough, he found Tony talking to a few teenagers by the stage.
Benjamin called out to him.
“Tony.”
“Yo Ben! Didn’t think I’d see you here. Were you looking for ?”
“Don’t yo Ben ! I was gone for two days and now I hear your tech had another accident.”
Tony quickly waved his hand and shook his head.
“Woah woah. My tech did not have an accident. That cryo reactor wasn’t mine! You can’t slander like this!”
Benjamin rolled his eyes.
“I ant your cold fusion reactor. Why the hell are you using sothing like that to power a stadium? And without proper security too.”
Tony shifted his eyes and coughed.
“Ahem. It’s called hiding in plain sight. I don’t know how those A.I.M. guys found out about it.”
Benjamin raised a brow.
“Is your investigation still not turning up any results?”
“Nope. As far as I’m concerned, these guys just appeared out of nowhere.”
Tony shrugged.
Benjamin frowned and felt that he really should start investigating this deeply.
With his children soon to be born, no way he was going to leave unknown threats here on Earth.
“Alright, continue investigating. Let know if you find anything.”
“Sure thing.”
“And?”
“And what?”
“Mind telling if you’re hiding any more shady tech?”
“...Nope.”
Benjamin narrowed his eyes.
“You paused just now.”
“That’s hardly a pause. It’s nothing!”
“It’s a pause. It’s a 2 second pause. That’s sothing!”
Tony coughed again and quickly diverted the topic.
“By the way, let introduce you to these young geniuses.”
Benjamin stared at Tony with half-closed eyes before sighing and turning to the teenagers with him.
“This is Tadashi Hamada and his friends. Uhh…”
“I’m Fred! These are GoGo, Wasabi, and Honey Lemon!”
A rather energetic young man quickly inserted himself in the conversation.
“Oh my god! I can’t believe I’m eting THE Captain Freed! It’s such an honor to et you! Will you sign my signboard?”
Fred pulled out a signboard from sowhere and shoved it in front of Benjamin, along with a marker pen.
Benjamin was a bit speechless but still signed nonetheless.
Feeling as if Fred was about to get out of hand, Tadashi quickly pulled him back and shook Benjamin’s hand.
“I’m sorry about that. Fred can get a bit too excited sotis. I’m Tadashi. It’s an honor to et you, sir.”
“Tadashi…I’ve heard about you.”
“Ah? Really?”
“Yeah. Tony ntioned you once.”
Benjamin glanced at Tony as he said that.
“Did I?”
“Yeah. You had an AI chip nad after him.”
“Oh yeah I did. Speaking of, did you finish that dical robot thing you talked about before?”
Tony asked Tadashi who nodded in excitent.
“Yes! It’s at my lab, though. I’d love to show it to you!”
Tony nodded and tapped on a button at the side of his shades.
“Friday, cancel my plans for tomorrow. Ah wait, is tomorrow ok for you?”
“Yes yes! Tomorrow is no problem at all!”
Benjamin watched the two and mused in his mind.
Tadashi…if this were the Big Hero 6 movie, and this tech convention is the sa as in the movie…he’s not gonna be alive tomorrow.
Benjamin shook his head.
Well, not like he would let that happen.
While he was thinking of this, one of the girls in the group with short black hair and purple highlights circled around him while looking at him up and down.
This should be the one called GoGo
“You don’t look strong. Is it true that you’re stronger than Hulk and Thor combined?”
Benjamin smiled wryly.
“Well, I’ve never faced both of them together so I don’t know.”
“How about speed? Are you faster than that Quicksilver guy?”
“Well, we haven’t really competed but…”
Benjamin smiled, white electricity surging through his body.
It was the speedforce that he had gained as reward from that ti he went to the DC Universe.
GoGo just blinked and she was already holding a pizza box.
“Straight from New York.”
“...Aweso.”
GoGo muttered and opened it up to eat a slice.
Beside them, the guy called Wasabi asked.
“Uhh, how did they cook it so fast though?”
“Oh, it’s probably soone else’s order. It’s fine, I left so money.”
“...”
Wasabi was speechless.
