"You're dead!" Rollus growled, charging forward again. His lance glowed with a mix of green and red energy, spiraling with chaotic power. The ground beneath him shattered with each step, leaving cracks as the shockwaves from his aura expanded.
*BOOM!*
Rollus thrust his lance with blinding speed, but just as the tip approached, Aleron vanished again, reappearing casually above him. Without even facing Rollus, Aleron spoke in a bored tone.
"Too slow again."
Rollus's lance struck the ground where Aleron had been, sending a shockwave that tore through the arena floor, but it was futile. The audience gasped in disbelief as Aleron floated above, completely unfazed, hands still in his pockets, a smile playing at the edge of his lips. Rollus clenched his teeth, veins bulging on his forehead. His pride, built from years of being the strongest in the city, was cracking with each failed attempt.
*Whoosh!*
Aleron dropped down, landing softly on the ground right in front of Rollus, whose aura flared again. With fury, Rollus swung his lance wildly, slashing the air with deadly precision. Yet, Aleron dodged each strike effortlessly, sidestepping or weaving through the attacks as if it were a simple dance. Every ti Rollus swung, Aleron moved just slightly enough to avoid it, his smile never fading.
The power scattered around, but it was as if Aleron was in an invisible barrier that prevented him from getting hit, not even by debris.
"Co on, Rollus," Aleron said, sounding almost disappointed. "You've got to do better than this. Maybe try your Spiral Dragon Vortex Beam? Isn't that what they're cheering for?"
The Colosseum was deathly silent before so people started muttering.
"W-Who is this guy?"
"So powerful..."
"But w-what is happening? Why is he unscathed?"
Rollus's eyes darkened, rage overtaking him. Without hesitation, he raised his lance high, the energy around it building into a swirling vortex. The very air began to distort from the overwhelming power being gathered. Lightning crackled, and the sky above the arena darkened as his most powerful attack took form.
"SPIRAL DRAGON VORTEX BEAM!"
He thrust the lance forward, unleashing a titanic blast of energy shaped like a spiraling dragon. The beam ripped through the air, its sheer power warping the atmosphere itself to make its bid as it headed straight for Aleron. The audience roared in excitent, expecting the fight to finally turn in Rollus's favor.
But many also had a bad feeling. Aleron's whole being just oozed out the vibe of being utterly invincible. It was like a battle between a tiger and a kitten.
*CRACK-BOOOOOM!*
The beam exploded, creating a blinding light and deafening sound. Dust and debris filled the arena, and the crowd held its breath. As the dust settled, Rollus breathed heavily, a smirk forming on his face.
But then his heart sank.
Standing right in the center of the destruction was Aleron-completely unhard. Not even a scratch. He hadn't moved an inch, still with his hands casually in his pockets, as if Rollus's most powerful attack had been nothing more than a light breeze.
"That was cute," Aleron said with a shrug, his tone mocking. "But you're not getting anywhere with this."
'You're a black mark, and you will die.'
[Aleron: I can really kill him, right?]
[Lilisa: Yes, you can.]
[Aleron: But I'll take his soul.]
[Lilisa: ...fine. Given what you've displayed to the bigwigs, you are allowed to trample anyone here.]
Rollus staggered backward, his lance trembling in his hand. His mind raced, trying to comprehend what had just happened. Impossible...how? His breaths ca in ragged gasps as panic set in.
"Is that all?" Aleron asked, tilting his head. "I was expecting more from the strongest Unbound rank in the city."
Rollus's face twisted in frustration. He unleashed everything he had, throwing wild strikes, each one more desperate than the last, his lance glowing with every ounce of power he could muster. But no matter what he did, Aleron remained out of reach. Each swing was t with empty air, each attack deflected with the barest of movents. It was as if Aleron was toying with him.
"You're weak," Aleron finally said, his voice cutting through Rollus's growing despair. "And I am bored."
Rollus's mind began to crack. The cheers from the crowd grew faint as his thoughts drowned in the humiliation of his helplessness. Every ounce of his confidence, built from countless victories, was shattering with each passing second. His aura flickered, weakening, as the reality of his situation set in.
'I can't hit him. I can't... do anything...'
Rollus gritted his teeth, feeling the pressure in his chest tighten as he realized just how outclassed he was. His mind was a storm of disbelief and frustration. How could this nobody be so much stronger than him?
He couldn't even figure out what Aleron was doing.
"Giving up so easily? You know it hasn't even been five minutes."
Rollus roared and started attacking Aleron again.
However, Aleron was simply using him to improve himself. He was only using aspects of the Astral Reaver concept in this fight. Whatever Rollus threw at him, Aleron would use the flor of space and ti to resolve it.
But Rollus was losing his will to fight at each setback he received, and two minutes later, he stopped moving, his eyes blank and head facing the ground.
"Ti to finish this."
With that, Aleron vanished again, reappearing behind Rollus. Before Rollus could even react, Aleron delivered a single, powerful strike with his foot, sending Rollus crashing into the arena wall with enough force to crack the stone.
BOOM!
Rollus coughed up blood, slumping to the ground, his lance falling from his hand. His body was battered, his pride in ruins. The audience was in stunned silence, unable to believe what they had just witnessed.
'W-What?' Rollus felt his life force seeping away. 'What did he do?!'
'No!'
'I don't want to die!'
Aleron casually floated down to where Rollus lay, looking down at him with cold,
emotionless eyes.
'It's ti to go to hell, Rollus.'
Aleron turned his back on Rollus, walking away with his hands in his pockets.
anwhile, Rollus's core was shattered, and his soul was gone.
"Stop!"
Sid arrived floating before Aleron.
"Give back his soul," Sid hissed as if suppressing his anger, his face dark.
Aleron looked at Sid, feeling zero threat from him. His eyes flickered and bore down the
judgnt as one of the thicker black marks appeared above Sid.
'I can actually kill him with a punch...'
[Gachapi: Not yet, Master.]
'I know.'
Aleron knew now was not the ti to bring his laws and order into this world.
"Hey, back off, Sid."
Lilisa arrived and floated in front of Sid, her arms crossed and expression stern.
"Tell him to give the soul back," Sid's eyes darkly glinted.
"That's not going to happen," Aleron said with a smile. "Anyway, we are done here, so I want
to go back."
Sid wanted to make a move, but Lilisa was right in front of him and a few Supre ranks were
also watching.
"Get lost," Lilisa smirked.
...
Aleron returned to the abode and also sent Rollus' soul into his hell.
The girls and Aleron had dinner since the battle was held in the evening and then the group
started training.
Enorin, i, and Yueha broke through to the second level of their concepts, while Rias, Ruan,
and Liang were close to breaking through.
Shelby was focused on improving her Magic Zone, and Aleron helped her with that by giving her his Magic Prints for research.
anwhile, Sid went to the higher-ups because he wanted to get Rollus' soul back.
