The chain pulsed once before dissolving into smoke, but the mark around her neck remained—faint, glowing like a collar of living dusk.
She leaned into his hold, breath warm against his chest. Her crimson eyes lifted to et his, no longer wild with battle lust—but sothing far more dangerous. Devotion... and possession.
She placed her hand over his, guiding it to her cheek.
"...I suppose I should introduce myself properly," she breathed, voice low and elegant, like a noble speaking through fangs.
She stepped back just enough to bow—graceful, almost regal, even with rain and blood still clinging to her skin.
"I am Seraphina Vaelblood — of the Shadowblood Tribe, one of the thirteen vampire tribes of Hell. I command the venomous currents of shadow blood, a power feared even among the most malignant creatures in the Abyss."
Her lips curved into a slow, wicked smile as she gazed up at him through wet lashes.
"And now... your bound demon."
Nyx coiled behind Alex, her serpent form towering like a living shadow, eyes still glowing with quiet satisfaction after devouring part of Verrath’s essence. Seraphina’s familiar, Verrath, now reford from swirling bloodmist, knelt behind her like a beast acknowledging a higher predator.
Seraphina straightened, her eyes shimring—not red now, but a deep athyst rimd with black, the sign of a demon oath.
"By blood and shadow..." she spoke, her voice resonating like a ritual. "I recognize you, Alexander. Not rely as my master..." — she stepped closer, her finger tracing his collarbone — "but as the one my blood answers to."
The mark on her neck glowed brighter in response—and to Alex’s surprise, a faint echo of it glimred along his wrist, like a mirrored chain.
She smiled slowly. "Your power... your darkness... I will temper it, hone it, and claim it as mine while still belonging to you."
Nyx let out a soft hiss of approval.
Seraphina tilted her head, fangs grazing the air near his throat as she whispered:
"So then... my lord. Shall we begin the conquest of Hell together? And carve our dominion among the venomous and the feared?"
And the answer she got was...
Flick.
"I am not interested in conquests of Hell or anything of the sort," he said, relaxing his stance. "Let’s go ho, and I will introduce you properly to others." He gestured for her to follow.
Soon he was back at his estate with Seraphina in tow. There was Sue, Colleen, Maria—his human girlfriends—standing on one side. On the other side were Cypher and Zephyra, his two demoness companions, and his butler-demon Mygrath.
"Here is Seraphina Vaelblood," he said, presenting her. "She is a demon under my command now."
The others nodded, acknowledging her presence.
The others stepped forward to greet her. Sue offered a polite nod, Colleen even brought a small slice of cake, placing it delicately on a plate for Seraphina, while Maria smiled warmly, her eyes curious but welcoming.
Seraphina’s crimson gaze swept over them all, lingering briefly on Alex. Then she let out a soft, amused laugh, tilting her head.
"Alexander... you already have five girls," she said, her tone teasing, "and now there’s as well?"
Alex shrugged casually, a faint smirk tugging at his lips. "Seems so. Welco to the chaos."
Seraphina’s smile widened, almost predatory, yet she moved gracefully, letting herself be seated among them. The tension in the room eased slightly as the group began to interact, the strange mix of humans and demons slowly adjusting to the new addition.
She looked at Alex, eyes glimring with both mischief and respect. "I see... you collect more than just power, Alexander. Interesting."
Alex’s smirk deepened, his gaze never leaving hers. "Power isn’t the point, Seraphina. It’s loyalty, skill... and the ones willing to stand by ."
Seraphina tilted her head, considering his words, then let out a soft, almost musical laugh. "Loyalty, skill... and amusent, I suppose. I can see why you gather such a variety."
Colleen leaned forward, curiosity bright in her eyes. "So... you’re really a Count-class demon? And you can control shadow blood?"
Seraphina’s smile curved darkly, her fingers tracing the rim of the plate with the cake Colleen had given her. "Yes. Shadow blood is... rare. Poisonous, mutating, and deadly. Among my kind, only a handful can wield it without being consud by it."
Maria’s eyes widened slightly. "That sounds... terrifying."
"Indeed," Seraphina said lightly, tilting her head. "But I am not here to terrify, unless I choose to." Her crimson eyes flicked to Alex, sharp yet soft in the sa glance. "I am here because I belong to him now."
Alex leaned back, hands folded. "Exactly. And now, you’ll learn to live with the others. Humans, demons... and those who can handle a bit of chaos."
Seraphina let out a soft laugh, one that held both amusent and promise. "I can handle chaos... Alexander. But I intend to carve my own place within it."
Cypher, sitting nearby with her arms crossed, raised an eyebrow. "So, what exactly does that an for us?"
"What else?" Alex replied, calm. "She’s now one of your sisters." The others nodded in acknowledgnt.
Cypher shook her head, looking at him sharply. "I wonder how many more you’re going to get now," she said.
The other girls chid in, voices tinged with concern. "Yes, you should have a limit... it’s not good for your body," one of them added, glancing at Alex with a mix of worry and teasing.
Alex leaned back casually, a faint smirk tugging at his lips. "Relax. I know my limits... and I decide who joins , not the other way around."
Seraphina, sitting gracefully among the group, tilted her head and let out a soft, amused laugh. "Seems he’s always been confident," she murmured, her crimson eyes flicking toward Alex with sothing like admiration.
Zephyra leaned forward, resting her chin on her hand. "Confidence is fine, but don’t push it too far. Even you have your limits."
Alex shrugged, letting the tension fade with his casual deanor. "Limits are for those who need them. I’ve got things under control."
