Thor held Mjolnir tightly, grounding himself as Odin’s words sank in. He nodded slowly. "I understand, Father. I won’t fail Asgard."

Odin leaned back in his throne, eye narrowing. "See that you don’t. You’re not king yet, but every choice you make shapes what kind of king you could beco. Strength without wisdom destroys, and wisdom without courage is useless."

Thor bowed his head. "I’ll rember that."

The doors opened, and a guard knelt. "All-Father, reports from the outer towers. Frost Giant scouts are near Vanaheim’s border. They aren’t attacking, only watching."

Odin’s face hardened. "They’re testing us. News of Loki has spread. The realms are looking for weakness."

Thor clenched his jaw, anger breaking through his grief. "Then let go. Let show them Asgard is still strong."

Odin raised his hand, stopping him. "No. Acting too fast will only make things worse. We watch as they do. Patience, Thor. Protecting Asgard ans more than rushing into battle."

Thor swallowed, forcing himself to accept it. "...Yes, Father."

In the rune chamber, Frigga watched Alex as the glowing stones pulsed with his breath.

"Do you feel it more clearly now?" she asked.

Alex nodded, eyes narrowing. "Yeah. It’s not just pulling anymore. Feels like threads around , waiting for to move them. Like shadows—but lighter."

"Then guide them," Frigga said softly. "Not with force. With intention. Think of what you want to shape, and let the weave respond."

Alex closed his eyes and focused. The air shimred, the stones glowing brighter. Slowly, a faint thread of light stretched between two stones.

Frigga’s eyes widened. "You’re already shaping the weave..."

Alex opened his eyes, surprised. "That easy?"

"No," she said, shaking her head. "Most take years to get this far. You’re different. But rember—power without care is dangerous."

Alex smirked. "That’s nothing new for ."

Her voice grew firm. "Then promise you won’t use this lightly. Asgardian magic isn’t sothing to take—it has to be earned. Do you accept that?"

Alex nodded. "...I accept."

The stones dimd again, as if marking his promise.

"Then your training starts now," Frigga said, resting a hand on his shoulder.

Back in the throne room, Odin stood. "Asgard is at a crossroads. Loki is gone, but his shadow will still affect the realms. We will not falter. The Nine Realms must see Asgard still stands strong."

Thor raised Mjolnir. "For Asgard!"

The guards repeated the cry, their voices echoing.

Frigga moved around the rune table, her hands brushing lightly over the stones. "First, you must learn to listen before you act. Magic is not only power—it is awareness."

She placed a smaller stone in front of Alex, etched with simple runes. "This one responds to thought. Hold it and clear your mind."

Alex picked it up. At first, nothing happened. He frowned. "Feels like a dead rock."

"Because you’re forcing it," Frigga said calmly. "Don’t push. Let it co to you. Think of it as a door. If you kick it, it won’t open. If you knock, it will."

Alex took a slow breath, loosening his grip. He focused, letting his thoughts quiet. After a mont, the rune began to glow faintly in his hand.

"There," Frigga said, smiling. "You see? The weave answers when you respect it."

Alex raised an eyebrow. "Respect, huh? Guess Asgardian magic’s got an attitude."

Frigga chuckled softly. "It has rules, as everything does. Learn them, and it will serve you."

She then gestured to the runestones on the table. "Next step—connection. Move the energy from the stone in your hand to the ones before you. Not with force. With intention."

Alex stared at the glowing stone in his palm. He pictured the light flowing outward, stretching toward the others. Slowly, a thin line of glow extended from his hand to one of the runes on the table.

The rune lit up. Then another. Soon, three stones were glowing, linked by faint threads of light.

Frigga’s eyes softened. "Very good. You’re weaving the threads already. Most students can only manage one link at first."

Alex smirked slightly. "Guess I’m a fast learner."

Her tone grew serious. "Do not mistake speed for mastery. The weave can turn against those who misuse it. That is why we train slowly—control is worth more than power."

Alex nodded. "...Got it. Control first."

"Good," Frigga said. "Tomorrow, you’ll learn to shape the weave into form. But for now—rest. Even small uses of seidr can drain more than you realize."

Alex set the rune back on the table, noticing how tired he suddenly felt. "Yeah... I get it. This stuff pulls more out of than fighting does."

Frigga smiled gently. "That is the price of magic. But with ti, it will feel natural—as easy as breathing."

She placed her hand on his shoulder once more. "Co back tomorrow, and we’ll begin the true lessons."

The next morning, Alex returned to the rune chamber. Frigga was already there, arranging a circle of runestones on the table. Each one pulsed faintly like a heartbeat.

"Today," she said, "you will not only sense the weave—you will shape it."

She pointed to the runes. "This circle can respond to intent. The test is simple: call the weave to create light in the center."

Alex folded his arms. "Light, huh? Seems easy enough."

Frigga gave a faint smile. "Then try."

Alex stepped forward, closed his eyes, and focused. He thought of the threads he had felt before—soft currents moving around him. He reached for them, pulling them together. The runes glowed brighter, lines of energy linking into a circle.

In the middle, a spark appeared. It grew into a faint orb of light, floating in the air.

Alex opened one eye. "That it?"

The orb flickered, then burst apart, the energy fading.

Frigga shook her head gently. "Almost. But you forced it at the end. The weave does not respond well to pride."

Alex sighed. "So even magic’s got an ego."

"Not ego," Frigga corrected. "Balance. The weave reflects the hand that guides it. Anger brings chaos. Calm brings strength."

She reset the runes. "Try again. This ti, do not command the light. Invite it."

Alex tried again. This ti, instead of pulling hard, he pictured the energy flowing like water, filling the circle. Slowly, the light returned, brighter and steadier than before.

Frigga’s smile widened. "Better. Now, hold it."
