"Who is the chief in there?" Lukas asked, he wanted to know more about the leader inside.
"What am I supposed to say, Bill Clinton?" The girl said sarcastically, her face was oval-shaped, and she looked part Indian.
"No, I an this club. Who runs it? Who’s in charge?" Lukas asked, he wanted to talk with a person who he could explain his plans to.
"It’s called President Deepshit, and that would be ." The girl said with a face that said, ’Get the fuck out of here,’ she was a senior after all.
"Miss President, I wanted to talk with you," Lukas said politely. As a new student, he should be polite and make the senior comfortable around him.
"About what? Yawn! " The girl was not taking him seriously at all, she was yawning and looked like a bully.
"About a website I want to build," Lukas said seriously. The girl in return just looked at him with her eyes full of water, she was not taking him seriously at all.
"You do know everyone wants to build a website, right? You need money and many things, most of all, hundreds of thousands of dollars in salaries because nothing cos from cheap. So my advice for you is to take it slow and rethink. Here, take this $1 and bring so coffee. You are a freshman, right"? The girl, while scratching her head, said to Lukas.
Lukas sighed, as this was the ti when website builders were very few, and geniuses like this had already offered jobs in their inboxes, so of course she was not taking him seriously at all, a freshman.
"Ma’am, how about I take you to a nice and cozy place for lunch or breakfast, whatever you decide? anwhile, I can just tell you my plans," Lukas said, and then he returned the money back to her.
"Hmm, alright, wait here, I need breakfast." Saying this, the girl went back inside and ca in just two minutes later.
Lukas just waited, he wanted to convince this person because she was surely a computer wizard if she was the one holding the fort here.
She really ca back in two minutes and was holding a keyboard in her hand. Lukas was, although surprised a little, but didn’t question her.
Lukas just walked with her and saw her going towards freshman dorms. Lukas just followed her from behind, and while he was passing by his room, he took the car keys.
"I need to return this keyboard, so it will take about five minutes. You go ahead and wait for in the parking lot." The girl saying this left.
Lukas was a little pissed, but he cald down and went to the parking lot where his car was and stood beside it, then he realized he didn’t have any cash other than the 150K in the system, so he manifested it inside the car and put it in his glove box.
After a while the girl ca, and she was not alone, beside her was another girl who was taller than her and looked cool-type, and she was also maybe Indian-Arican.
"What’s your na?" The girl who was the president of the club asked Lukas from afar.
Lukas waited a little before replying because they were really far, after they ca closer, Lukas sighed seeing their dark circles.
"Lukas Martin, I am a freshman," Lukas introduced himself while opening the backseat door for them.
"My na is Ashmika, and this is Anya. Anya here is the treasurer, and if you really are serious about what you were saying, then this girl here is the one you will need," Ashmika said with a smile, then pushed inside Anya with her hand, and she went in.
The girls were just here to have free breakfast from a freshman and just listen to him while they eat.
"Alright." Lukas nodded his head, he was glad they were even hearing him out. With how the dot-com bubble has ford, with very few web developers around, of course they will have attitude.
Lukas drove forward, looking at the duo in the back from the rearview mirror, they were almost sleeping.
He soon reached a small restaurant called Hoagie Haven, he parked his car and was about to wake the girls up when his phone rang.
*Ring-Ring*
Lukas, seeing it was Coach Henry, didn’t bother waking them up and went outside, then received the call.
"Lukas, guess where I am." Henry’s voice ca over instantly as soon as he received the phone.
"In the field?" Lukas guessed the coach was in the baseball field doing practices.
"No, stupid, I am in Philadelphia with your agency. We had a eting with the Phillies upper manager, and guess what?" Henry asked excitedly.
"What? Tell ," Lukas asked, he was also eager to know about it.
"It’s happening, the deal is on. Maybe tomorrow they will let us know after we have finished our lunch break. Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow you need to co here, so if I were you, I would buy good clothes," Henry said. His tone was getting excited, and he was stuffing food in his mouth too. Lukas could understand that much.
"Alright coach, Let know after you finish everything, alright? I’ll be in the dorm, so you can just call up," Lukas said, and then after they talked a while ended the call.
Lukas then looked inside the car and saw the girls sleeping soundly, he sighed and woke them up while knocking on the window.
Anya woke up first, and seeing Lukas looking from the window, she got jump scared and woke Ashmika up. Lukas was speechless with these ladies.
Both of them were quite tall, so they looked beautiful together like a pair of twins, Lukas just waited outside while facing different directions.
After a while they ca down from the car and fixed their ruffled clothes, then cleared their throats.
" This small restaurant serves great food, so let’s go," Lukas said while walking forward.
