"Hello, who is this ?" A beautiful voice ca from the other side just as Lukas received the phone call.
"This is Lukas, you gave the number yesterday. I just bought a phone, so I thought I'd call you first to ask how you are doing." Lukas asked as he gave her lots of cash to help her out.
" Lukas? I rember you. Yes, everything was fine. I buried my mother in her hotown. I would stay here tonight and co back tomorrow, so can we et tomorrow.?" Annie asked sweetly; she was really grateful towards Lukas, who, like an angel, gave her money so she could give her mother a final burial, which she deserves.
"We can et tomorrow for sure, but after classes, it ends at 4," Lukas said. He doesn't want to miss out on the classes, which are teaching him a great deal. He thought he knew many things, but there is room for improvent for him.
" Oh! Alright, it's a date then. Where do we et? " Annie asked, her voice was a little cheerful.
" Well, I don't know. You know Nassau Inn?" Lukas asked, as in his last life he was not wealthy enough to afford sothing better, and Nassau Inn was very close to the college.
"Of course, I'll be there at four thirty." Annie asked, she giggled a little when she heard about a local inn.
"Okay, done. I'll be there." Lukas saying this ended the call and drove towards his next destination, Radioshock Store, to get a laptop.
A laptop would make his life very interesting, and it will help out on many things. He was actually very addicted to his iPhone 15.
I should avoid getting addicted to such things in this life.
Lukas's car drove on the street very smoothly, even in his last life, he had never driven a car this smoothly, so every ti he turned, he had to praise how good this car is.
As he crossed a street, he saw the signal was red, so he stopped. There was only one car beside him, which was also waiting for the red light to turn green.
Lukas didn't care about it, he was seated relaxedly, the night light on the street looked good, and suddenly the car beside him revved up with a loud noise. He looked and noticed it was a Dodge Viper.
Lukas grinned as he admired the pure-black Dodge Viper before revving his own engine too. He recalled the thrill of playing Need for Speed Most Wanted last life, where the Dodge Viper was his dream car. Yet today, he was behind the wheel of the main character's ride, the iconic BMW M3 E46.
Lukas was just having fun with the Viper, then he saw a green-colored Porsche 911 pulling beside them and revving his car too, he felt goosebumps because three legendary vehicles were on the sa street.
Although Lukas was very tempted to race them, his head was also clear, he didn't want to get booked by cops and get detained for having simple fun.
I am not a hero or main character who would just get out of trouble automatically, I have to clean my own ass. Thank you, but I don't race.
The red light shifted to green, and both Viper and 911 sped through the traffic, and his car simply took the left turn towards his destination, and it took him around ten more minutes to reach there.
He parked the car in front of the shop and entered through the front door, the atmosphere inside was not that lively compared to the AT&T store, but he could care less.
He directly went to the counter and smiled at the man standing behind it, the man also politely smiled.
"Sir, what can I do for you?" The man asked, he was very polite, unlike his previous experience.
" I need a laptop. Please, no Apple product. The budget is not an issue here,"Lukas said smilingly.
"Of course, if you have a fantastic budget, I just have a perfect thing for you," the salesman said with a smile, then went inside his warehouse to get a laptop.
The salesman actually saw Lukas's car, which looked almost new, and as a car junkie, he knew exactly that car was over forty thousand, so he was more polite than usual.
Lukas had to stand on the counter for about 2 minutes before he saw the salesman coming with a huge box that had a huge 'SONY' written on it.
Lukas smiled when he saw the logo, then the salesman gestured Lukas to the side table, which has chairs, so that Lukas can inspect the laptop while seated.
" Sir, This Sony Vaio VGN-Z Series features a 13.3-inch LCD, an Intel Pentium M processor that has around 1.7 GHz , 512 MB of RAM, a 40 GB hard drive, and Windows 2000, great for any kind of work. The salesman said with a smile and then directly opened the box to let Lukas inspect; he saw the black laptop, and it looked perfect.
"Very well then, I'll take it. How much is it?" Lukas, as usual, directly agreed on buying the device.
" Sir, this piece costs around $2700, this model is very new, and almost all our other branches are out of stock," the salesman said with a little cheeky smile.
"No worries, here's three thousand, $2700 for the laptop and three hundred for the job well done. You have nice observation skills," Lukas said with a smile. This employee was very good, he was looking outside to observe his custors, which is a good perk to have in a salesman.
"Thank you, sir," the salesman smiled and took the whole three thousand.
After the paperwork, as Lukas was leaving the shop, the salesman personally ca with the huge laptop box in his hand to help him load it into the car.
"Thank you. What's your na? Give your card," Lukas said after he was seated inside the car.
"Liam Gustav, here is my car, sir, call if you face any problem." Liam gave his business card instantly.
Lukas nodded his head after taking the card and drove off towards his dorm.
