UK:GSW Chapter 451 – Uchiha Madara: Learning from the Ancestors Is Nothing to Be Ashad Of
Just when Uchiha Madara was enjoying his blissful retirent, Uchiha Kei ca to find the old man and told him—it was ti to work.
That ant the old man had to leave behind his bittersweet and joyful retired life of playing gas with "Muzi" and bickering daily with "Uzumaki Kenshin."
Madara wasn't entirely surprised by the summons. He had already reached an understanding with Kei earlier and was prepared to contribute his strength. After enjoying over a month of retirent, it really was ti to get to work.
In truth, while parting from Muzi for now left him a little disappointed, he was also eager and full of anticipation—because he felt this might be his chance to see his long-dead best friend again.
Granted, it would be the best friend from another shinobi world, but a substitute was still better than nothing—it could still satisfy the craving!
So yes, Madara was looking forward to it.
And, if given the choice, he also wanted to give the Madara from World No. 2 a good beating.
The reason was simple—he himself had been deceived by Black Zetsu too badly and had caused too many disasters.
Though Madara's pride would never let him openly admit his mistakes, not admitting them didn't an he never thought about them. And since he couldn't literally slap himself in the face, letting another version of himself bear his resentnt and anger felt only natural.
Soone had to get hurt—better it be the Madara who had already made all those mistakes.
As for himself, now a part of the organization, he would simply inherit the other's legacy—with tears if necessary. Things like best friends, for example.
Ahem… thinking too far ahead again. Anyway—so, when were they going to World No. 2 to revive that world's Hashirama?
Madara glanced curiously at Kei.
Kei smiled. "Don't worry, Madara-senpai. All preparations are complete. In a few days, we'll head to World No. 2 and revive that world's past Hokage."
Madara raised an eyebrow. "A few days? Then why call so urgently? You could've just told this on WeChat."
Yes—WeChat, that convenient communication tool, had already spread throughout Konoha's internal systems. While not yet open to the public, shinobi and relevant departnts were already using it. Full public access wouldn't be far off—once Konoha had complete control over the Land of Fire, WeChat would be rolled out nationwide.
When that happened, the entire shinobi world would be shaken, and the other villages would be terrified. By then, the Third Shinobi World War would likely be inevitable.
But when it ca, the outco would no longer be in the hands of the other nations or villages.
Though Madara was technically an "off-the-books" mber, his status, strength, talent, and intelligence ensured he received proper treatnt.
If, in the future, they found a way for him to evolve further or regain his youth, he would automatically beco one of Konoha's key forces.
A bright future for everyone.
For now, Kei's answer to Madara's question was simple—he directly introduced him to the heroic spirit form of Otsutsuki Hamura.
Seeing the younger brother of the Sage of the Six Paths in person left Madara completely thrown.
Never in his life had he thought he'd et such a legendary figure.
Well… if we're talking age and era, technically Black Zetsu also counted. Even the tailed beasts did, since they were creations of the Sage.
Better not think about it too much—he could feel himself about to gain too much awareness for his own good.
Suppressing the urge to scratch his head and ruin his dignity, Madara studied Hamura, who was also scrutinizing him.
Before eting, Hamura had already heard about Madara from Kei, including the matter of Black Zetsu. He had been shocked and deeply moved—he and the Sage had truly not known that their mother, before being sealed, had made such a move, leaving behind Black Zetsu as a contingency.
It was clear Hamura's admiration and love for his mother were genuine. Precisely because of this, his and the Sage's "filial love for their mother" dynamic could feel a bit awkward.
Still, the brothers' love for the shinobi world had outweighed their love for their mother—so they had chosen to stand against her.
Hamura spoke first: "I'm sorry. Back then, we failed to discover Black Zetsu's existence, which allowed him to hide in the shinobi world and cause trouble for a thousand years. This is the fault of us, your predecessors."
An earnest, heartfelt apology right from the start left Madara frozen.
The "Shura of the Shinobi World" had expected to be chastised, blad, or even physically disciplined—after all, he had indeed done wrong. While he'd never admit it out loud, deep down he accepted that mistakes deserved punishnt.
Yet, just when he was ready for it, Hamura took the bla himself and apologized sincerely—completely wrong-footing Madara.
It made him feel uneasy, even panicked. Being soone who "responds poorly to kindness but resists force," Hamura's approach struck right at Madara's soft spot, leaving him stiff-faced and at a loss for words.
Kei, watching from the side, quietly laughed and secretly recorded the scene.
Monts like this—seeing the old man with such an expression—were rare treasures to be saved for future teasing.
In short, thanks to Hamura's "preemptive humility," any potential conflict vanished. In a way, Hamura had completely disard Madara. In his own mind, Madara believed being deceived by Black Zetsu was entirely his own fault—it had nothing to do with the ancestors. Faced with an ancestor apologizing, he felt like a senior was kneeling to him—a deeply uncomfortable sensation, like divine retribution was about to strike.
Madara was already sweating.
This was exactly as Kei had predicted. He knew what Hamura was like—after all, Hamura was the sort to willingly exile himself to the moon out of guilt. Compared to the Sage, Hamura's personality was softer, less domineering.
If it had been the Sage, he would have been far more forceful and strict with Madara. Madara, knowing he was at fault, would have accepted the lecture—but nothing more, and with little real respect.
Two strong personalities colliding only made everyone unhappy.
Kei's thinking proved correct—Madara really didn't know how to deal with gentle elders who looked inward for bla.
In fact, the only other person in Madara's life with a similar personality was the one who had him completely beaten—Senju Hashirama.
As Madara floundered, Kei stepped in to ease the situation, acting as a lubricant for their interaction.
At least in that mont, Madara was truly grateful to Kei—grateful enough to almost give up precious gaming ti with Muzi to play genjutsu gas with Kei for three days straight. That was a sacrifice unprecedented in history.
Of course, Kei's purpose in arranging this eting wasn't just to witness two legends et. It was to have Madara learn more about using the Rinnegan.
Specifically—to improve his mastery of the Samsara of Heavenly Life Technique.
In terms of Rinnegan usage skill, the top practitioner in the shinobi world right now was Nagato.
Yes—Nagato.
Even though Madara was the true owner of the Rinnegan, he wasn't as adept as Nagato, who had possessed them the longest.
But Nagato could never use all the Rinnegan's abilities—so simply weren't available without being the true owner. It was like having a skill book with missing pages.
Nagato's shortcomings weren't about ability—they were about insufficient permissions.
By contrast, Madara had full access, but because he'd held them for so short a ti, his proficiency was low and many abilities remained undeveloped.
Kei learned this from Hamura. Though Hamura didn't have the Rinnegan himself, he'd discussed it often with his brother and knew much about it—just as he knew plenty about the Tenseigan.
Hamura offered Kei valuable advice on using the Rinnegan, revealing many abilities not seen in the original story—abilities all Rinnegan possessed.
Further developnt of these abilities gave Kei greater understanding—most notably that the Samsara of Heavenly Life Technique could, with enough skill, be used without costing the user's life.
Naturally, once Kei understood this, the next step was to bring Madara in to raise his proficiency—since he would be the one using the technique.
Even though Kei could make it safe for others to use, it was Madara himself who had requested to do it.
His reason was simple—it was for "Hashirama." Though it also ant reviving World No. 2's past Hokage and others, so long as Hashirama was among them, that was enough.
Of course, Madara didn't state it so bluntly—he dressed it up, saying that many of World No. 2's tragedies were caused by his counterpart, and as such, it should be "Uchiha Madara" who cleaned up the ss.
It sounded noble—like the resolve and responsibility of a top master.
So feelings are better left disguised, and Madara would never admit otherwise.
After learning the purpose of eting Hamura, Madara didn't fuss—he accepted the instruction.
Though proud, he knew his own shortcomings, and when faced with true seniors, he could show proper respect.
Hamura was one such senior—genuine ancestor, kind words, and one of the few who could leave Madara helpless.
Thus, Madara gave Hamura the highest level of respect.
Kei arranged for the two to enter the learning space together for one-on-one instruction.
They entered via the learning scroll as a dium, without letting Madara directly into the genjutsu world.
After all, he wasn't in the core circle yet.
And honestly, with his current situation, he probably wouldn't be—especially since revealing Muzi's and Uzumaki Kenshin's identities would spoil a lot of fun. With World No. 2's past Hokage soon to be revived, Kei planned to open a new great world in the ntal network just for them.
That way, Hashirama in the main world—under Muzi's disguise—could visit World No. 2 and interact with its people and Madara. The thought alone promised endless amusent.
Their learning session felt long to them, since ti in the space was stretched, though in the real world it passed quickly.
When they erged, Madara's mastery of the Rinnegan had taken a massive leap—he now truly felt like a Rinnegan master.
