UK:GSW Chapter 449 – Ōtsutsuki Hamura: I Will Create a New Era of the Ninja World
The matter of the Hyuga clan had co to an end.
It ended with the death of a number of mbers of the Hyuga Main House.
Those elders, those predatory at-eaters, had paid the price. As for Hyuga Hiashi, the head of the Main House, his final outco was to have his position as clan head stripped away.
Although he had only recently beco clan head and held no real power, in such a drastic upheaval, his position itself was an original sin.
However, from another perspective, to experience such a great clan upheaval and yet only be stripped of his title and beco an ordinary clansman was actually quite fortunate — all thanks to his younger brother, Hyuga Hizashi, stepping in to protect him.
In this great change, Hyuga Hizashi, as the head of the Branch House, had been the first to defect and had led the other Branch mbers in removing the Caged Bird Seal. One could say he had made great contributions to this reform.
Therefore, when the reform ended, the remaining Hyuga clansn directly pushed Hyuga Hizashi to beco the new clan head of the Hyuga clan. Hizashi did not refuse and directly announced that from now on, the Hyuga clan would have no division between Main and Branch Houses. Like the Uchiha clan, there would only be a clan head and elders as administrators.
Hmm… in truth, it was still a feudal clan system. The Hyuga clan imitating the Uchiha clan was essentially the pot calling the kettle black.
But it could not be helped — the current prosperity of the Uchiha clan was absurd to the extre. They had completely beco a superlative clan in the Hidden Leaf Village, even in the entire Land of Fire, and their proactive integration with the village and mutual advancent made this feudal clan system appear extrely progressive and ambitious. This rendered the Uchiha clan extraordinary and left the Hyuga clan, once also known as the "jewel of the Hidden Leaf," far behind — so far they could not even catch a whiff of their dust.
Thus, many in the Hyuga clan began reflecting, and Hyuga Hizashi was one of them.
In the past, the Hyuga clan was extrely conservative. Under the rule of those stubborn old n who held power over the lives and deaths of the clansn, reform was impossible — they could only rot away step by step.
Now, freed from the shackles of the Caged Bird Seal and having obtained the authority to reform, Hyuga Hizashi naturally wanted to lead the Hyuga clan toward a brighter future.
And so, the great reform of the Hyuga clan began.
As the forr clan head, Hyuga Hiashi felt deep emotion, even a sense of loss — after all, the psychological gap from clan head to ordinary clansman was significant.
However, Hiashi was not yet the stubborn old man he would beco in the Boruto era, so he also felt a sense of relief and release. After a night-long, private conversation with his younger brother, the next day he decisively chose to embrace the new era and worked hard to help his brother handle various clan affairs, showing remarkable ability.
Everything was advancing toward a brand new era under such circumstances.
It was also in this situation that the Hidden Leaf leadership summoned the representatives of the Hyuga clan and the Moon Ōtsutsuki — naly, the new Hyuga clan head, Hyuga Hizashi, and the Branch House head of the Moon Ōtsutsuki — to inform them of an important matter: the Hidden Leaf was preparing to begin research on the Tenseigan.
The Hyuga clan was quite perplexed regarding the Tenseigan. Over the thousand years of shinobi history, they had forgotten much, including information on this Byakugan evolution.
For the Moon Ōtsutsuki, however, this news imdiately set them off.
Maintaining a thousand-year lineage, the Moon Ōtsutsuki knew very well what the Tenseigan was, and they also knew it required the sacrifice of countless Hyuga and Ōtsutsuki to create.
If the Hidden Leaf intended to research the Tenseigan, wouldn't that an inhumane persecution of both clans? How could they tolerate that?
They were about to turn hostile on the spot —
But before they could, a sudden appearance left the Moon Ōtsutsuki dumbfounded, then incredulous, then overco with a mix of fanaticism and tension.
Because the person who appeared was none other than Ōtsutsuki Hamura.
Moreover, Hamura did not appear in spirit form, but as a Heroic Spirit.
Yes — Ōtsutsuki Hamura had beco a Heroic Spirit.
Clearly, in the days of the Hyuga clan's upheaval, Hamura, by his own will, had spent many days in the Learning Space.
With the ti acceleration maximized, Hamura had actually undergone two and a half years of profound study. This made him truly understand many things — and understand what an ordinary person truly needs.
The ninja world was made up of countless ordinary people. Even if the number of extraordinary individuals was not small, and they held the most important military power, they were still the minority. Only ordinary people were the most important, and only by letting ordinary people live good lives could the ninja world truly beco better.
Yes — Hamura no longer pursued that empty notion of peace, because he now clearly understood that peace was a false proposition and did not align with the needs of the tis or social developnt. Conflict would always accompany the human species and never disappear.
Ambitious people would always stir up trouble, and in this extraordinary world, such people often beca the very source of turmoil without even having to plunge the common folk into misery first.
Moreover, the ninja world faced external threats — the Ōtsutsuki clan's covetous gaze ensured the world would always be in crisis.
In such circumstances, to truly maintain peace in the ninja world, one must retain powerful strength — one must keep the sword in hand.
Hamura deeply agreed with sothing one of the Learning Space's instructors had said: having a sword and choosing not to use it is entirely different from not having a sword at all.
Therefore, Hamura had gained a new understanding of strength and the will to fight. In the past, he thought that the shinobi's overabundant martial spirit was the root cause of chaos. Now, he realized that undisciplined martial spirit was the source of chaos, whereas orderly martial spirit was the strong foundation of peace.
Beyond that, Hamura understood that another reason peace was impossible was that the current system was too backward and exploitative, leaving the lower classes unable to survive. Many people even nurtured threats for personal gain, continuously harming the common folk.
In the past, Hamura had been powerless to do anything about it, thinking it was a local feature of the ninja world — sothing that could never be eradicated and thus sothing to simply sigh over without attempting to govern. After all, he had once stood at the peak of the ninja world, destined from birth to view the world with an "imperial narrative."
However, after the trials and studies in the Learning Space, Hamura knew that his forr thinking was nonsense. Those things that "exist, therefore are reasonable" were exactly what should not exist — they were the result of the inaction of those in power. If one truly governed and worked to resolve them, they could be eliminated.
He had learned of another world's "Nation" that had accomplished this, and the knowledge he gained ca from that country.
If so, why could the ninja world not do the sa?
The ninja world even possessed supernatural power, making many things easier than in that "Nation of the East." All that was needed was to manage the use of that power.
Thus, Hamura reached enlightennt — and understood the Hidden Leaf's current plans. He decisively chose to support them.
Originally, he would have limited himself to support in spirit. After all, he had been dead for many years, and as a dead man, it was not suitable to continue interfering directly. At most, he could offer his remaining power when necessary.
However, Uchiha Kei directly told Hamura about the Heroic Spirits and persuaded him to join their ranks — to live between the genjutsu world and the real world, returning to the human realm.
He also told Hamura about the revived Heroic Spirits and their work, using real examples to illustrate the possibilities.
"Senior Hamura, don't you want to see your elder brother again? Don't you want to see the ninja world beco better and contribute to that? And we've done so much — this ans your mother, Ōtsutsuki Kaguya, can also be freed from her seal and beco part of the ninja world's force for peace, so you can truly reconcile with her. Don't you want to see that mont?"
These words were almost a checkmate for Hamura — he could not refuse.
In the end, one of the founders of the ninja world nodded in agreent. Under Uchiha Kei's arrangent, he abandoned his undying spirit form and truly entered a "deceased" state.
Then, he imdiately received Uchiha Kei's Heroic Spirit Summoning, entered the genjutsu world, and beca one of its Heroic Spirits.
For Uchiha Kei now, taking in a soul like Hamura's, while pressuring, was not heavy. It was easily bearable.
If Hamura's strength was on par with the Sage of Six Paths, Uchiha Kei felt he could also take in the Sage's soul — and then many Kage-level souls afterward.
With the Rinnegan's blessing, his ntal endurance had reached an epic level. It was no longer a problem.
That, then, was what Uchiha Kei had been up to in recent days — and the reason Hamura now appeared before Hyuga Hizashi and the Moon Ōtsutsuki Branch House head.
Hamura had no objection to the Tenseigan research — in fact, he strongly supported it. This was a complete reversal from his past mindset. In the past, he would have been vehently opposed, thinking mankind's coveting such power was courting disaster.
But after learning so much advanced knowledge in the Learning Space, especially understanding the necessity of scientific research for the advancent of civilization, Hamura knew that research must be done — and should not be treated as a monstrous taboo.
Of course, it must be carried out under proper supervision.
This Tenseigan research would be conducted under such supervision, with Hamura himself as both the project leader and data provider. Though as a Heroic Spirit the data he could provide differed from that of a living being, in terms of usage experience and chakra control, no one understood the Tenseigan better than him.
As for the thod of creating the Tenseigan, although it required a large number of Byakugan as materials, the Hidden Leaf's biotechnology could clone large quantities of Byakugan. With so adjustnt and enough chakra infusion, these could serve as the production material for the Tenseigan.
Thus, there would be no sacrificing of Hyuga or Moon Ōtsutsuki lives. At most, both clans would only need to provide so bodily cells for cloning.
As for chakra, the Tailed Beasts said they had plenty — take as much as needed. They spent their days in the genjutsu world playing various gas, living in bliss, and didn't care about chakra consumption at all.
In fact, once consud, they could just recover, so they really didn't mind.
One could say that all the conditions were in place. All that was needed was for the Hyuga and Moon Ōtsutsuki to cooperate in the research.
Hamura, in his capacity as ancestor, explained his current state to both clans and told them exactly what the Tenseigan research involved.
Naturally, he had to display his power to prove his identity. The mont the Tenseigan opened, the terrifying chakra pressure instantly forced Hyuga Hizashi and the Moon Ōtsutsuki Branch Head to their knees — literally — because the pressure was overwhelming, utterly beyond what they could bear.
Whether elite jonin or Kage-level, in Hamura's eyes they were all insects.
One could say that Hamura was now the strongest force on Uchiha Kei's side.
However, if Uchiha Kei's next plan succeeded, Hamura would soon relinquish that position.
Because Uchiha Kei's next targets were the Sage of Six Paths and the progenitor of chakra in the ninja world — Ōtsutsuki Kaguya.
Once those two joined the glorious new era of the ninja world, the Hidden Leaf would truly have the capability to investigate and purge Ōtsutsuki in Ninja World No. 2.
In short, with Hamura's intervention, the Tenseigan research was settled. For the Hyuga and Moon Ōtsutsuki, the appearance of their ancestor would take much ti to digest. And the Moon Ōtsutsuki would soon embark on a pilgrimage — their worship of Hamura was etched into their DNA. In the original work, their internal strife was precisely due to differing interpretations of Hamura's will.
Now that their mythologized ancestor had appeared in the flesh, how could they not beco raving fanatics?
Thus, Hamura was destined to face a crowd of fanatical descendant devotees.
By comparison, the Hyuga clan's reaction was much milder. After all, they had long since lost much of their heritage — before eting the Moon Ōtsutsuki, they didn't even know who their ancestor was. Naturally, they had no such intense ancestral worship.
