UK:GSW Chapter 442 – Journey to the Moon, the Ōtsutsuki on the Moon

When it ca to the Earth–Moon spacecraft, Orochimaru and the others showed great interest. After all, the technological sophistication of this thing was genuinely high — even researchers who had no particular interest in chanical engineering couldn't help but want to understand it.

Naturally, as a master of chanical engineering, Sasori was the most interested of them all, even developing a strong desire and curiosity to explore it.

Of course, the spacecraft would be handed over to Sasori for focused research — he was the most likely to gain significant results from it.

Thus, the Earth–Moon spacecraft would be studied by Sasori, who would try to conduct his research without damaging the machine.

What? How could you understand its internal structure without disassembly? And if you took it apart, wouldn't technology this advanced be impossible to put back together?

Uh… is it possible you're forgetting this is a supernatural world? For a researcher like Sasori, discovering the internal structure without dismantling and modifying it wasn't a difficult task at all.

Besides, the "Illusionary World" was just too useful — in the real world, once enough data was collected, the object could be brought into the "Illusionary World," where its convenience allowed for rapid and forceful research that would be impossible in reality.

However, before handing it over to Sasori for research, the Earth–Moon spacecraft would be used first.

Yes — after discussion, they decided to use the spacecraft's first trip to place a signal transmitter on the Moon, establishing a link there through the "Illusionary Network's" powerful effects.

With the network's capabilities, Uchiha Kei only needed to use his Mangekyō ability to "O-God Start" Minato Namikaze. Minato could then enter his Golden Cloak Mode, use Tailed Beast chakra to establish a precise spatial marker there, and teleport directly using the Flying Thunder God Jutsu.

Although this would consu a lot of chakra, with no shortage of Tailed Beasts now, chakra was no longer a problem.

This way, the researchers could all take the chance to visit the Moon — after all, the Moon in the shinobi world wasn't a naturally ford celestial body, but a motherly-yet-cruel seal crafted by the Sage of Six Paths and his brother.

And with descendants of Hamura Ōtsutsuki still living there, its research value was imasurable.

Who knew — maybe they could even et Hamura Ōtsutsuki's soul. This wasn't Uchiha Kei's speculation, but Orochimaru's group's deduction. After all, in a supernatural world like the shinobi world, even the Pure Land existed — and since the Pure Land was constructed by the Sage of Six Paths, it wouldn't be strange if the soul of his younger brother, Hamura, still lingered.

In any case, Uchiha Kei's Heroic Spirit Summoning was ineffective on these two brothers — he had tried — and the system's verdict was that they hadn't died.

At least, the system's definition of death didn't apply to these two Ōtsutsuki brothers.

Considering their portrayal in the original story and how they'd appeared in spirit form in the ani, Kei concluded that although their bodies had perished, their souls had beco more like divine spirits. In the terms of cultivation or xianxia tales, they had both ascended to "ghost immortals," no longer re ghosts.

And that was only natural — the Ōtsutsuki were notoriously hard to kill. Though the Sage of Six Paths and his brother weren't pureblooded Ōtsutsuki, as direct descendants of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, they had naturally inherited many of the clan's traits.

So now, they were planning to begin exploring the secrets of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's family.

It was a bold move, one that could even be called reckless — but only because they had sufficient confidence in their ability to handle it.

Through joint exploration of the two shinobi worlds, the assistance of the ntal network's learning space, and their steady accumulation of strength, knowledge, and technology, they had more than enough capability to attempt it.

Furthermore, with the power of the Rinnegan on their side, as long as they didn't try to unseal Kaguya herself, there was little to worry about.

And Uchiha Kei hadn't kept the fact that he'd awakened the Rinnegan a secret from his inner circle — he had shared the news with them imdiately.

They were surprised, but not overly so. Kei had created so many miracles that nothing he did seed impossible, and his "unique Summoning Jutsu" had always produced bizarre things.

By now, awakening the Rinnegan was hardly shocking — especially with Madara Uchiha as a precedent. For soone whose talent far surpassed Madara's, like Kei, it was only natural.

After all, he'd gone straight from Mangekyō to Eternal Mangekyō — his talent was so outrageous that one might wonder if he was the Sage of Six Paths' actual son.

Thus, no one found it incomprehensible, even without Kei having fused Hashirama's cells like Madara had.

So people were simply good at creating miracles, and when you did it often enough, even the most outrageous things would be accepted as normal by those around you.

And this was undoubtedly a good thing — especially since Kei had also explained his new abilities to them, further boosting their confidence.

For Kei, keeping secrets and trump cards was sothing you did with outsiders. To hide such things from your own inner circle — especially one that served as your think tank — was pure foolishness. Their strategies depended on knowing the team's real capabilities; withholding information from them could lead to miscalculations and mistakes.

In fact, after their ti in the learning space, even Orochimaru and the others understood this. They kept their power and trump cards secret from outsiders, but internally they had an accessible database, and often exchanged information to keep communication instant and clear.

It had a bit of the feel of a University of Tokyo think tank.

Well, a low-budget version — sothing that even supernatural powers couldn't make perfect.

But still, good enough.

Thus, the plan to head to the Moon was set.

They chose the Moon of the main world.

While the Moon of Shinobi World No. 2 seed safer, they already knew the Ōtsutsuki clan existed there — and who knew what trouble might arise from exploring it directly? Angering the Ōtsutsuki could be disastrous.

By contrast, in the main world they had only confird the existence of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki — the "Heavenly Princess" from beyond the world — and had no intel on her clan. The Moon there was known only to house Hamura Ōtsutsuki's descendants, making it a more suitable target.

So, once preparations were complete, Minato Namikaze boarded the spacecraft one night and pressed the launch button. Under everyone's watchful eyes, it soared into the sky, accelerating toward the Moon.

The craft displayed all the hallmarks of system-made black technology — from the outside, its acceleration was absurd, reaching over Mach 31 in just thirty seconds, like a super missile. Inside, however, Minato felt nothing more than the pushback of flooring the gas pedal on a 2.0T engine car.

He couldn't understand how it worked — but that was all there was to the acceleration. For a ninja like him, it wasn't worth ntioning, and he couldn't help but wonder, "Is this really acceleration?"

Thus, with constant acceleration, the craft quickly approached the Moon.

Thanks to the Moon's relatively close distance to the shinobi world, it took only about ten minutes before it began decelerating and landed with a heavy thud.

Yes — the Moon carried sound.

It might sound ridiculous, but the Moon's surface actually had air. Minato could breathe easily, and the sunlight wasn't overly intense or radioactive. It was as if an invisible atmosphere enveloped the Moon, protecting life despite its barren surface.

Chakra black technology — amazing, right?

Once Minato completed his "I've exited the cabin and feel fine" routine, he imdiately took out the signal transmitter from a sealing scroll and activated it, establishing the network connection.

When it went online, Minato found that the Illusionary Network signal was restored. He could use WeChat just like back in the shinobi world and even enter the Illusionary World directly.

Everything was as expected.

With the objective achieved, Minato excitedly took out another sealing scroll and released a prepared stone coffin.

Inside was a special puppet body Sasori had made for Kei, capable of remote control via the Illusionary Network and channeling Kei's power.

The puppet activated, and Kei's consciousness entered it.

After assessing the situation and looking around, Kei smiled at Minato. "Looks like we succeeded."

Minato smiled and nodded. "Yes, very successful. This spacecraft is incredible — reaching the Moon in such a short ti without any discomfort. Creations from another world are truly astonishing."

He was genuinely impressed.

Kei just smiled, then activated his Rinnegan and used the "O-God Start" ability on Minato.

Sensing his new state, Minato was surprised. "This feeling… it's even stronger than before. Is this because of your Rinnegan?"

Kei nodded, then cast a series of buffs on Minato, making him feel a dramatic surge in strength.

Once that was done, Minato marveled again at Kei's power, then unhesitatingly entered Golden Cloak Mode — and on top of that, Sage Mode.

This surprised Kei. "You can already use Sage Mode while in Golden Cloak Mode?"

Minato shook his head. "Not proficient yet. I can only use it for things like long-distance Flying Thunder God teleportation right now. In battle, it would wear off in seconds."

Kei understood — no wonder Minato hadn't ntioned it to the group; its combat value was negligible.

Still, Kei already knew Minato had been working on combining the two modes, so it wasn't unexpected.

With multiple power boosts, Minato quickly used the Flying Thunder God Jutsu to bring everyone to the Moon.

The group included researchers like Orochimaru, Nine-Tails jinchūriki Kushina Uzumaki, Uchiha Sasuke — the strongest of the Uchiha — and Jiraiya, advisor to the Hokage.

Along with Kei in his puppet body, the total ca to fifteen — quite a large exploration party.

They put the spacecraft away and began exploring the Moon.

For Orochimaru and the other researchers, the fact that the Moon had breathable air was bizarre and intriguing. They noted it for later study.

Kei also summoned several large-bodied White Zetsu, prepared in advance. Their mission was to infiltrate the Moon's interior and search for Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's sealed location.

After Orochimaru's group collected enough lunar soil and data, they began exploring the terrain, looking for Hamura Ōtsutsuki's descendants.

Since life on the lifeless Moon was conspicuous, it didn't take long to find them — and they headed there imdiately.

Soon, on the Moon's far side, a settlent built mostly from lunar rock ca into view.

Indeed, this branch of the clan had thrived on the Moon — their clan's domain was now the size of a small town.

It was full of life, with over a thousand inhabitants — quite different from the original story.

In the original, internal conflict led the branch family to slaughter the main family, then sacrifice themselves to create the Tenseigan, leaving only Toneri Ōtsutsuki alive.

Now, it was clear that civil strife hadn't yet occurred.
