UK:GSW Chapter 372 – The Beginning of the Uchiha Brothers' Battle

Kabuto Yakushi was brought back to the main world.

His body still needed so adjustnts and care, and he was also inford about the existence of the parallel world.

Upon learning that this other ninja world was set more than twenty years in the past, Kabuto's face showed shock, followed by a faint tremor in his body.

Because this man, who had no sense of self, suddenly thought of sothing—or rather, soone.

Seeing Kabuto like this, Rogue-nin Orochimaru, who knew exactly what he was thinking, gave a villainous smile.

"Yes, Kabuto… just as you've guessed, the you in that world is still living peacefully at the orphanage, and your foster mother, the orphanage head, Nonō Yakushi, is also alive and well."

At these words, a cold gleam instantly flashed in Kabuto's eyes.

It wasn't aid at Orochimaru, nor at Nonō and the orphanage—but at the one pulling strings behind the scenes. The one who, in the No. 2 world, had driven him and Nonō into conflict, forcing him to beco a matricide.

Shimura Danzō.

Orochimaru No. 2, the rogue-nin, saw through Kabuto's thoughts imdiately. Back then, although he hadn't been directly involved, he knew everything and had watched as Kabuto and Nonō fought to the death.

Why? Because he valued Kabuto and wanted to recruit him—when soone kills their foster mother and is at their most lost and directionless, that is the perfect ti to take them in as a loyal dog.

But now, there was no need for that. So the rogue-nin Orochimaru kept smiling like a villain.

"You needn't worry about the orphanage in this world. Here, Shimura Danzō is finished. He's not dead, but for him… it's probably worse than death. Paralyzed in bed, despised by all—such days are hardly pleasant for that old man."

Kabuto blinked, his cold gleam fading into relief, quickly replaced by confusion. Clearly, he was wondering how Danzō in this world had been brought so low.

The rogue-nin Orochimaru didn't know the details—he'd only just joined them—but there was other intel to share.

This ti, it wasn't the rogue-nin who spoke, but the always-composed Researcher Orochimaru.

"The orphanage in the Leaf is now managed by Jiraiya. Heh… that man has given the place a lot of care—all the proper welfare, even paying out of his own pocket to expand the orphanage."

"These days, everyone there is full of gratitude toward Jiraiya—including your foster mother, Nonō Yakushi. In fact… beyond gratitude, Nonō has developed much stronger feelings for him."

"And almost everyone at the orphanage knows it. Nonō has never hidden her strong feelings for Jiraiya. Even Jiraiya himself knows."

"So, including the you of this world, many of the children there are looking forward to the day they can openly call Jiraiya 'Father.'"

By the end, the smile on Researcher Orochimaru's face was brimming with mischief.

The rogue-nin Orochimaru glanced over, realizing that this more accomplished "self," while refined and proper on the surface, clearly had a prankster's streak—and didn't bother hiding it.

Kabuto, anwhile, was struck as if by lightning, frozen in disbelief.

Jiraiya? His mother… loved Lord Jiraiya? And everyone in the orphanage was looking forward to calling Jiraiya "Father"?

What kind of joke was this?!

Sure, Jiraiya was strong—one of the Legendary Three alongside Lord Orochimaru—but he was by no ans a good match!

The thought of the many records describing Jiraiya's womanizing ways made Kabuto tremble.

It was good for his mother to be happy, to find soone she loved; good for the orphanage to prosper and the children to have support.

But for his mother's happiness to be tied to a wandering playboy like Jiraiya—that was undeniably a disaster.

Images flooded Kabuto's mind: Jiraiya and Nonō married, Jiraiya gone 350 days out of the year, Nonō left at ho to care for the children, weeping silently at night…

His head was spinning. All composure shattered, Kabuto sprang up, practically roaring like a brought to life.

"No!!! I don't approve of this marriage!!!"

The Orochimarus weren't surprised by his outburst. Researcher Orochimaru adjusted his glasses with a smile.

"Why, Kabuto? Why don't you approve?"

Kabuto's face twitched, his voice hoarse.

"Lord Jiraiya is a good man… but you know what kind of person he is, Lord Orochimaru. He can't make my mother happy. Unless… the Jiraiya of this world is different from ours?"

Researcher Orochimaru shook his head.

"No, the two Jiraiyas are essentially the sa. But because our world has Kei-kun, many things turned out differently."

"Besides… your disapproval ans nothing. To everyone else, Jiraiya and Nonō Yakushi are a perfect match—hardly anyone cares what so outsider thinks."

"And, in fact, not long ago, after seeing the misfortune of the Nonō from your world, Jiraiya realized his own feelings and went to confess to our Nonō. From what I hear, they've confird their relationship—and the entire orphanage cheered and blessed them."

Kabuto: "…"

If it's already like that, why did you even bother telling all that earlier? Just to watch my reaction?!

Inside, he was collapsing—reduced to a "manly tears screaming NO" .

The rogue-nin Orochimaru was now certain—this "self" had indeed been influenced by the greatest prankster in the ninja world.

After that, the devastated Kabuto was placed in a "coffin" used for bodily care and adjustnt, to rest for several days before being released.

They even offered him the chance to visit the Leaf, so he could see the main world's village and orphanage for himself.

After that, Kabuto would return to the lab—to work as a research workhorse for life.

anwhile, Researcher Orochimaru quietly sent the details to Jiraiya—just to give his good friend a heads-up.

How Jiraiya would react… that wasn't his concern. He'd simply inform Uchiha Kei, who could watch for the entertainnt.

Indeed, the rogue-nin Orochimaru was right—this prankster side had been brought out by a certain master of mischief.

anwhile, in Ninja World No. 2, an event directly tied to the "original story" was unfolding—

The famous Uchiha Brothers' Duel.

Main participants: the Uchiha brothers, Team Snake, and Itachi's partner Kisa Hoshigaki.

On the periphery: Obito in his "Tobi" persona, blocking Naruto and others.

But unlike the original, where many accompanied Naruto and Obito didn't try to capture him, this ti, facing only the three of the new Team 7, Obito was tempted.

To him, it was a great chance to seize Naruto—just have Nagato bring the Six Paths of Pain and the job would be done.

Black Zetsu agreed. But before they could act, sothing happened—forcing them to abandon the plan.

It ca from the White Zetsu side—specifically, Tobi.

Unlike in the main world, where Tobi stayed with Madara, in World No. 2 he road freely—and stumbled upon loyalist White Zetsu capturing others.

Curious, he hid himself and watched from afar, his higher-level White Zetsu abilities concealing his presence.

He reported back to Black Zetsu, who investigated and confird the strange activity—discovering these White Zetsu were from the main world, beyond his control.

Cautious, he kept his distance and avoided detection, but what he saw alard him enough to warn Obito.

Losing the White Zetsu army would cripple Obito's fallback plan—if capturing the Tailed Beasts failed, he would launch the Fourth Great Ninja War, using the 100,000 White Zetsu as his main force.

No White Zetsu, no overwhelming force—aning no war advantage.

So they scrapped the ambush and reverted to the original plan—Obito (as Tobi) would block Naruto, while Black Zetsu investigated the cause. Kisa would intercept Team Snake while Sasuke went to face his brother.

Naruto, Sakura, and Sai soon ran into Tobi—acting the clown, his exaggerated words and movents frustrating them as he slipped underground and popped up elsewhere to throw bombs and kunai, stalling them completely.

Just like in the original… or so it seed.

In truth, Naruto's sharp glint showed he was not the sa as his original self—but he kept it hidden, continuing the farce.

And so, in the Uchiha clan's secret base, seated upon the throne, Itachi—known to countless fans as "God Itachi"—finally greeted his long-awaited "otouto."

His three-tomoe Sharingan spun slowly, his law-etched, coldly handso face calm as he spoke:

"You've co."

Sasuke: "Yeah, I'm here."

Itachi: "My foolish little brother… you shouldn't have co."

Sasuke: "But I ca anyway."

Itachi: "I see. So, you've made up your mind—and you're confident in your strength. But in truth, you're a fool. To think you can challenge with an ordinary Sharingan… how disappointing. I expected more—but you're just another ordinary Uchiha."

Expressionless until now, Sasuke's lips curved into a faint, aningful smile.

"Is that so? Looks like your Akatsuki's intel isn't worth much after all."

This unexpected reply made Itachi pause.

As he began to ask what Sasuke ant, his brother casually pulled out a drink can, popped it open, and downed it in one go—ending with an ungraceful burp, revealing it was carbonated.

Itachi frowned, eyes narrowing at the now-crushed can tossed aside.

"My foolish little brother… what did you just drink? So drug to temporarily boost your strength?"

Sasuke discarded his cloak and slowly drew his Kusanagi sword before answering lazily:

"Drugs? No. I don't need that sort of thing, Itachi. Don't think everyone is like you—already a walking dicine jar."

"What I drank was simply a delicious, mood-lifting Wood-Style Cola… of the highest quality."

Itachi: "…?"
