Chapter 296.1: Follow-up Arrangents
As for the so called later matters, it was very obvious, this place will sooner or later be found. Since one needed to both have the matter of Li Hong Yuan deliberately ‘going missing’ brought full circle, and also protect the people of the water fort, then one just needed a reasonable ‘explanation’. This explanation wasn’t sothing that can just be taken care of by moving the mouth. Many things all needed to be arranged. If one doesn’t hurry now, afraid won’t be able to make it in ti. This clearly was both sides’ matter. After all, if unable to be brought full circle, it’ll be extrely detrintal to both sides.
Yet right now, Li Hong Yuan just boldly and forcefully had all the matters all handed over to Pei clan leader to handle, and the other party even had no choice but to take over. Who let the one needing to pull in the relations right now be him and not Li Hong Yuan.
Li Hong Yuan didn’t personally step in. The follow-up matters were all handed over to Jing Wan with the full power to make the decisions.
Jing Wan also didn’t say anything either. This while her husband was busy pretending to be a tsundere, so naturally also carried on to the end. However, Jing Wan didn’t expose this bit. A certain soone this while was really a bit of a tsundere inside. Of course, not because of the Pei clan leader. The specifics was probably because a certain soone wanted to be lazy.
The result of Jing Wan’s discussion with the Pei clan leader was Jin Qinwang got ambushed, and under the bodyguards’ protection, entered the mountain ridge. The attackers pursued relentless, unwilling to give up, for two days in a row, and just when everyone was all drained and riddled with wounds, they ca across the people of the water fort. As such, what should be explained will be brought full circle, and what should be protected will be protected. Just, the arrangents for these details was fairly difficult.
However, soon after, Jing Wan discovered that she’d thought too much. What should be arranged, the Pei clan leader had all arranged already. It was obvious, he’d long envisioned these. The discussion just now was nothing more than giving what he believed to be relatively reasonable arrangents, and because they were also more or less the sa as what Jing Wan was thinking, she naturally didn’t disagree.
For instance, having the place of ‘attack’ shifted downwards by ten li. The boat sunken underwater had already been shifted down. Jing Wan also didn’t want to ask how he did it, but this section of the canal has already been sealed off, prohibited from passing through, so when operating, it should be a little easier than expected.
Then for instance, on the ‘fleeing’ route after entering the mountain ridge, fighting marks will appear from ti to ti, even leaving behind quite a few corpses along the side of the road.
“………Right now, what needs to be taken care of is just the things wangye and wangfei brought along, as well as the accompanying personnels.” Pei clan leader said without the slightest ripple.
Jing Wan’s complexion wasn’t too good. Corpses, where did these corpses co from? Can’t be that he just happened to have so, right? It was very obvious, the Pei clan leader killed people like cutting grass! “There are plenty of birds and animals in the mountain ridge. As long as we appropriately leave so bloodstains, ripped cloth, and such, it will be more than enough. Why must Elder Pei insist on going this far?”
However, the Pei clan leader was nevertheless unconcerned, “This old one knows wangfei is kindhearted, but when faking, things need to at least be realistic looking. Smart people aren’t in the minority. Since there are already people wanting to kill wangye to begin with, then they certainly won’t let off any clues. One has to know, the people wangye brought along weren’t few, and moreover, their skills all pretty good. To be able to force this many people to retreat in defeat and flee, the other party’s number of people can’t be in the minority. This many people lost in the mountain ridge, how can it just be settled with so bloodstains and cloth. However, wangfei can also greatly rest assured. In the end, it’s also just faking, so the corpses are far less than what you would imagine.”
(T/N: Most likely the corpses of Inspector General Su’s people that were sent to kill LHY. They’ve reportedly been missing this whole ti after all.)
But it definitely won’t be few either! Jing Wan’s complexion didn’t improve, a completely cold look, “Since Elder Pei has long planned thoroughly, then there’s nothing else to say. As for these people by wangye’s side, the majority will all be sent off, but they also can’t be too far from wangye. Presumably Elder Pei has also prepared a place to shelter them already. Additionally, wangye is esteed and noble, used to pleasure, and now, needing to have these things sunk together with the boat, even if fishing up soon after, a portion of them afraid won’t be usable anymore…………..”
“All of wangye’s losses, the Pei clan will compensate in double, just temporarily wronging wangye for so ti.”
“In this case, it can’t be better.” Jing Wan brushed her sleeves and left.
“Wangfei……..” Pei clan leader called to stop her.
“What else is there?” Jing Wan didn’t turn around, just slightly turning her head, even doing without the address. Her disapproval towards the Pei clan leader’s way of doing things couldn’t be expressed more obviously.
The Pei clan leader was just like as if not seeing her annoyance, still neither quickly nor slowly opening his mouth, “The people staying behind, after all, have gone through bitter struggles in order to protect wangye and wangfei from not suffering injuries, so on the body, how can there not be the slightest injury? Don’t you think so wangfei? Everything is all for the sake of wangye, so asking wangfei to please consider.”
Jing Wan left with a darkened face. At tis unknown to her, don’t know how many human lives have been sacrificed already, and now, under her eyelids, still need to watch perfectly fine people deliberately get injured? In a place where even the common cold can kill, and moreover, right now was already the fifth month, where the wound was likely to beco inflad, who knows whether or not it will bring about serious consequences.
Towards Jing Wan’s anger, the Pei clan leader didn’t express an opinion, holding the tea cup and shallowly taking a sip, afterwards having the tea cup place before his eyes, like as if sizing up so precious treasure, carefully studying, “The excessive benevolence of won.” In certain aspects, he admit, this outer grandson’s wangfei was very good, but in so aspects, she was still lacking a lot. Under this kind of state of affairs right now, being this way, one was unable to beco a virtuous inner support, and being too benevolent, also wasn’t suited to be the empress. “As expected, should still change?”
Seeing Jing Wan with a cold look, Li Hong Yuan just knew, that old guy most likely did sothing to make her angry, “Wan Wan don’t be angry, this husband will take revenge for you.”
“You still don’t know anything at all, yet just want to take revenge? Perhaps the other party simply didn’t have any fault.” Jing Wan coldly mocked.
“If my Wan Wan is unhappy, then it’s precisely his fault. Moreover, this prince wanting to sort out soone, still need a reason?” Such a rightfully so attitude.
Jing Wan slightly narrowed her eyes as she looked to Li Hong Yuan, suddenly discovering, or should say, this man, sure enough, was the Pei clan leader’s outer grandson? Really is quite conceited and quite self-centered. This characteristic of Pei clan leader’s was relatively reserved, but Li Hong Yuan was more so wantonly ostentatious. Additionally, this man’s center had her, and moreover, she occupied an even more important position, so even if sotis having no choice but to do sothing inherently displeasing, because of their intimate relationship, she still won’t get angry at him.
This can be considered finally finding the origins of Li Hong Yuan’s ‘ego’?
Jing Wan briefly and concisely explained the outco of their ‘discussion’ to Li Hong Yuan, and Li Hong Yuan naturally imdiately understood the cause of Jing Wan’s moodiness. In reality, this for the most part was within his predictions. Just, so things didn’t necessarily needed to be said out loud, else Wan Wan will only feel even more uncomfortable. In these aspects, she was lacking, and couldn’t possibly be that old thing’s opponent. For every day her heart is unable to turn stone cold, she will just forever be unable to rival this type of person. Li Hong Yuan also knew, she won’t walk to this step, and from beginning to end, will always be ‘the defeated one’, but so what? These people, letting him co sort out was enough. To dare ‘bully’ his wife, one naturally needed to pay a disastrous price. “Since things have already co to this, don’t think too much about it.”
T/N: I was today years old when I learned that ‘傲娇’ is indeed the word for tsundere in chinese, it’s more of a internet slang than a loanword. The page explaining is very full of personality lmaoo, and yes it’s suppose to be like that. When I previously translated this word, I thought it was similar in aning, but I didn’t know that this was literally the word for it in chinese.
