anwhile, in the carriage, Haji had begun to move his whole body on command. However, the problem was that he still couldn’t see properly. And the mont he tried to push his legs to stand, he felt the chain that was tied to him.
"... Why am I tied to a chain?" He wondered with curiosity.
To confirm his situation, he slowly grabbed the chain and pulled it, but the mont he did so, he heard a small moan coming from in front of him.
"Hmm, what was that?"
Even though his hands were still numb, he grabbed the chain even tightly and pulled it again with so muscle in it. But as soon as he did so, he felt as if he was dragging sothing heavy towards himself.
He stopped and wondered if the chain was also tied to sothing else, like a big rock, but why would he be tied to a rock? "Damn, if I could only see." He uttered under his breath.
Suddenly, he heard a faint voice coming from the other side of the chain he was holding. "Please... Stop. It..."
Caught by surprise, he dropped the chain. In front of him, there were four people sitting side by side to each other, and they were also bound to the sa chain that was tied to him. They wore torn clothes, and their hair was a ss.
"Who’s there?" He asked, hoping for an answer, but they just kept quiet as if they didn’t hear him. But he asked again, twisting his head side by side to try and maybe figure out who was with him, but still, his eyes couldn’t see a thing except for the light of day.
"Who’s there?"
One of them just looked at him with a scared look on her face, but then, a second later, turned her away without saying anything. But Haji was tired of waiting for an answer he wasn’t going to get; he grabbed the chain again and pulled it with most of the strength he had.
"Ugh..." She gasped, startled, falling back first towards Haji. And landed on his chest unbalanced. The others were surprised; their faces painted with confusion and disbelief.
Haji, equally confused, let the chain slip from his fingers and froze, his eyes locked forward, as if he was now able to see. In that instant, the numbness in his hands vanished. Replaced by a jolt of electricity surging through his body. Smoke began to rise from his skin as his wounds and scratches imdiately started sealing themselves shut. His vision sharpened slightly, though flickers of distortion still lingered at the edges.
"What?" He breathed, the word escaping his lips at the sa ti as the girl.
The girl still placed against him, he looked down, staring at her, her eyes wide and locked onto his, as if trying to make sense of what had just happened.
She suddenly pulled away from him and turned her face aside, avoiding his gaze. Haji backed away until his hand brushed against the cold wall of the carriage. This was the first ti sothing like that had ever happened to him.
"I’m sorry," he said quietly, glancing at the girl. "I didn’t know that you were on the other side of the chain."
The girl said nothing. Silent and shivering, she turned slightly away. One by one, the others shifted their gaze to Haji and then down to the chain still fastened around his leg. And then, without warning, the carriage ca to a halt.
"Good day, sir." A man’s voice ca from the other side of the carriage. It sounded like the sa guard who’d been holding onto the necklace of the man who blew up into oblivion.
"Good day to you, too," Gorthok responded.
"You are leaving already?"
"Yes," Gorthok said, then paused. His gaze shifted to the blood sared on the gate wall. "But may I ask... What exactly happened here?" His eyes narrowed as he spotted a bag, the very one he’d handed to that man earlier.
"Oh... About that." The guard said, then added, "It’s a long story."
"Is that so?" Gorthok replied, his tone unreadable.
"Yes."
Gorthok’s gaze didn’t waver. "Pass that bag over there." He said, eyes fixed on it.
The guard turned, following Gorthok’s gaze. His eyes landed on the bag. He looked back at Gorthok, confusion etched across his face. But he kept his lips shut.
"Is there a problem?" Gorthok asked, his voice calm but firm.
"No, sir."
The guard turned toward the bag. "How pathetic," Gorthok muttered under his breath.
Monts later, the guard returned with the bag. Without another word, imdiately, Gorthok was on his way out of the town, and all the guards who were on the gate saluted, giving way to his carriage, without inspection.
After they had left the town, they started heading west of it, where it looked like there was a big city in the distance that they were traveling toward. But they weren’t going that way, because that city was located southwest of the town.
"Does any of you know where we’re headed?" Inside the carriage, Haji asked as they were carried by the motion of the carriage. But still, no one replied to him; they all looked like they were on their way to et their makers.
’...Again, what, and where are we even going?’ He released a deep breath as he wondered, while looking at everyone with his crimson... But even though he was able to tell that there were this and that in front of him, he wasn’t fully able to see their details.
Later, the carriage stopped again. But the mont it ca to a stop, everything had beco silent. Not even the sound of the wind could be heard.
’How strange?’ Haji wondered, looking at the front of the carriage.
Suddenly, the back exit of the carriage opened. And the one who appeared upon it was none other than Gorthok and seven won who dressed up like they were maids. But they strange was that they also wore blind folds.
"Okay, everyone. Welco to your new ho." With a smile, Gorthok showed Haji and the others the exit of the carriage.
"Huh?" Surprised, Haji uttered under his breath.
Everyone else looked at Gorthok, without hesitation, they started to move out of the carriage one by one. Except for Haji and the girl he was tied to.
Haji glanced at the girl, and the girl glanced back at him. He knew that if he didn’t move, then the girl and he would be stuck together in the carriage until they were forced out.
He stood up straight, slowly, as he started to head toward the exit, and the girl followed his step. And the mont they got out of it, Haji couldn’t believe what he was looking at. From the right side of the carriage, there stood a huge mansion, the side of a battle arena, ** In this world**, and its face was covered by different colored flowers. Gorthok suddenly vanished without anyone noticing him.
So of the maids started walking together with the people who were with the people Haji was with in the carriage. Two maids were still behind, waiting for them to start moving.
Haji turned, looking at one of the maids still behind. The mont his eyes landed on her, she smiled. Her friend’s face remained blank, but then she said, "Let us be on our way." Her voice was also blank as her face.
’On our way, where?’ Haji wondered, looking at the girl he was with.
