On the rough sandy roads, a travel-worn army is advancing.
No mighty tanks, swift armored vehicles, no air force protection accompanying, nor any integrated ground-air information reconnaissance.
Within this advancing army are dilapidated small trucks and pickups, or motorcycles weaving through the formation.
Trucks and pickups are crowded with soldiers, packed full with only basic rifles and rocket launchers as weapons, the equipnt is extrely rudintary, with no trace of any sophisticated individual combat equipnt or heavy weapons.
This army, looking particularly primitive in today’s 21st century, is a force sent by the Faha Organization to Te Wei City, following the Jieke Group into battle, numbering over five thousand.
Given this unit’s equipnt, driving on rugged, worn-out roads, if Sand City weren’t only fifty to sixty kiloters from Te Wei City, they wouldn’t be capable of long-distance raid operations; midway, the vehicles would mostly break down.
In the middle, a relatively intact Jeep with military green paint is carrying the leader of the Faha force, Tuxin, and the Jieke Group Intelligence Director, Shao ng.
"General, we’re about twenty kiloters from reaching Te Wei City."
The radio transmits a subordinate’s report, invigorating Tuxin, who commands: "Pass the order down, keep advancing the troops, we must arrive at Te Wei City by three o’clock this afternoon. We need to go there to help the Jieke Group clear out the Zombie Virus; the ti cannot be delayed."
"Understood, General, our troops are orderly, and will definitely arrive on ti."
After a few words of conversation, Tuxin turns to Shao ng, saying: "Mr. Shao, we’ll reach Te Wei City before three o’clock this afternoon. Once we’ve secured our footing there, more Faha troops will follow, penetrating deep into You Tai Country’s territory."
"Oh, your Faha’s numbers are only about ten thousand, can you allocate that much manpower?"
Shao ng raises an eyebrow, sowhat surprised at this.
"Though Faha only has more than ten thousand regular troops, the potential militia numbers are endless. Our definition of a soldier is simply one who can bear an infantry rifle, and that counts as a qualified soldier."
Tuxin clenches his fist, eyes resentful: "Over the years, You Tai Country has caused countless disasters and tragedies in our Country; the multitude of citizens hating You Tai Country is endless. Every citizen is a source of soldiers for us, inexhaustible. Once the people of Ba Country see the achievents we’ve gained in You Tai Country, new recruits to Faha will flow continuously. I have this confidence. What we lack are weapons, ammunition, and food, or else the number of soldiers could effortlessly reach a hundred thousand."
Shao ng is silent, for in the Middle East, the land has long been a place of chicken pecking at each other, whereas soldiers in other countries require strict training, possessing a certain level of tactical skills or proficiency in handling advanced equipnt.
However, in many war-torn regions, soldiers have neither the ti nor the money for training. Often, a ten-days to half-month training teaches simple loading, aiming, shooting, and instinctive running, and such counts as a qualified soldier to be dragged to the battlefield for combat.
Such soldiers, in a real large-scale war, are just cannon fodder with worrying survival rates on the battlefield.
Yet in the low-intensity warfare here in the Middle East, such soldiers are sufficient.
Even You Tai Country is rely choosing the best among the short; besides purchasing advanced equipnt from the Beautiful Country, their soldiers’ tactical proficiency is also diocre, lacking adequate tactical expertise.
Globally, or rather, except for a few countries, using World War II Germany soldiers’ combat skills as a standard, over the decades, soldiers from most countries are now inferior to the German soldiers’ level from decades ago.
"I see, then I look forward to Faha’s performance. As for weapons and food, our Jieke Group can provide interest-free loans to Faha, allowing you to purchase our South Alliance’s standard equipnt at cost price and help transport it to your hands."
Shao ng smiles, making a guarantee, so light weapons and ammunition for them, not to ntion the number for ten thousand people, even for a million, it’s just a drop in the ocean for the South Alliance behemoth.
Not to ntion, during the occupation of Southeast Asia and those Island Countries by the Jieke Group, countless weapons captured from the collapsing army prisoners fill unknown numbers of warehouses.
After the South Alliance’s establishnt, it let mber countries under the South Alliance update weapons using the Jieke Group standard, unifying weapon calibers and ammunition to reduce logistical pressure, and the replaced weapons are in staggering quantities.
"Indeed, that would be wonderful."
Tuxin’s eyes shine, for the Faha force has long accustod to poverty, and it’s a joy to encounter the wealthy Jieke Group willing to provide weapons!
"Just so minor weapons and equipnt. As long as your Faha diligently works for our Jieke Group, these are trivial matters."
Shao ng offers the reassurance; their Jieke Group won’t hesitate to support obedient subordinates, as long as they show enough value.
Tuxin is pleased beyond asure, ready to speak, but sees Shao ng pressing his earpiece, then his face turns serious.
"What’s wrong?"
Tuxin is perplexed, not knowing why Shao ng’s expression suddenly changed.
"A You Tai Country unit has been spotted ahead, You Tai Country’s 14th Infantry Brigade; they’ve already discovered your movent and are rushing this way."
Shao ng spoke, "Jieke Group’s satellite is operating overhead and has captured the movents of this You Tai Country’s 14th Infantry Brigade. It’s actually a reservist unit, composed of militia and retired troops."
Although the You Tai Country’s population is not large, and the regular army numbers over a hundred thousand, the scale of its reservists is quite massive. Among them, the Army reservists amount to 400,000, the Navy reservists to 10,000, and the Air Force reservists to 55,000, totaling 465,000.
After the outbreak of war initiated by the Jieke Group, these reservists were naturally mobilized and rushed to aid the capital, Te Wei City, from all directions, and the 14th Infantry Brigade before us is one such unit.
"What? Imdiately notify Colonel Sitran to deploy the troops into battle formation right away."
Tuxin was startled; the intelligence provided by Jieke Group was undoubtedly correct, so he hurried to pass on the notification.
Soon, the advancing Faha Army beca sowhat disordered, with many soldiers running around hastily, claiming to set up defensive positions. However, these Faha soldiers clearly lacked large-scale combat experience; urban guerrilla warfare might be manageable for them, but this large-scale encounter battle was truly challenging.
Ti waits for no one, and before Faha could prepare for battle, the vanguard of You Tai’s 14th Infantry Brigade had already appeared on the horizon.
Together with them ca the thunderous artillery shelling.
Rounds of 155 artillery shells smashed onto the ground, blasting many Faha soldiers into the air, making the scene even more chaotic.
Many Faha soldiers already showed signs of fear and dread; the shadow of continuous losses to You Tai Country’s forces made many tremble involuntarily upon encountering You Tai’s soldiers.
Although the 14th Infantry Brigade was hastily organized and numbered less than 3,000, with many soldiers yet to be conscripted and heavy firepower being similarly scarce, possessing only a few light armored vehicles and towed artillery, they were still far stronger than Faha, which couldn’t even bring forth a decent armored vehicle.
"General, we can’t hold on any longer."
Just a few minutes into the battle, the Faha Army appeared to be on the verge of collapse.
Even though the casualties were not high—after all, You Tai’s 14th Infantry Brigade similarly lacked heavy firepower—the artillery, the god of war, struck a unilateral blow, severely impacting morale.
"What should we do, Mr. Shao, should we temporarily retreat to Sand City for now?"
Tuxin was already drenched in sweat, having lost his composure upon receiving urgent reports from various areas.
"Don’t panic, reinforcents are here, the Air Force has taken action."
Shao ng held his binoculars, showing no signs of panic on his face.
Tuxin was taken aback and then heard the buzzing overhead.
Dozens of black silhouettes fell like teors onto the 14th Infantry Brigade’s positions. These were 500-kilogram aerial bombs.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
In an instant, flas soared high on the 14th Infantry Brigade’s positions, accompanied by the scattering of earth and debris. The vegetation turned to ashes under this relentless bombardnt, and the intense explosions and shockwaves tore apart one You Tai soldier after another, sending them flying like rag dolls.
The 14th Infantry Brigade’s artillery barrage stopped as those cumberso towed cannons were similarly destroyed under the airstrike.
The previously arrogant assault by the 14th Infantry Brigade turned into cries and screams, with corpses shattered by air bombs scattered everywhere, scorched earth and smoke pervading the air, unable to mask the strong scent of blood.
Just one wave of air assault caused massive casualties for the 14th Infantry Brigade.
The advantage of air supremacy was vividly illustrated at this mont.
Tuxin stood stunned, eyes blank, alongside nurous Faha soldiers who were equally shocked.
In the sky, an aircraft asuring 135 ters in length, with dozens of thin wings fluttering, rounded in shape like a beetle, yet exuding a strong oppressive sensation, flew overhead from a thousand ters in low altitude. This was undoubtedly the Luanyang Air-Space Strategic Bomber.
Swish!
Under the belly of the Luanyang Air-Space Strategic Bomber, a close-in weapon system rose, with 20 barrels, each 30mm in caliber, rotating and unleashing a torrent of hot bullets onto the ground below at a rate of 20,000 rounds per minute, like the Fire God Whip.
Under this Fire God Whip, human bodies disintegrated upon contact, and armored vehicles and tanks could not withstand such an assault, becoming iron coffins in the blink of an eye, leaving behind a bloody and flesh-covered death zone.
As the Luanyang Air-Space Strategic Bomber swooped by, the pilot showcased a maneuver and did not linger, swiftly accelerating to break the sound barrier and continuing on to higher elevations, as low-altitude combat wasn’t its forte.
However, before ascending, the Luanyang Air-Space Strategic Bomber deployed a dozen paratroopers, each donning Second Generation Biological Armor and being Holy Blood Genetic Warriors.
