The sinking of the Roosevelt carrier was like a signal, a symbol of a fleet’s destruction.

The warships from various countries that were fighting alongside the Roosevelt carrier were all utterly shocked, though this did not include the British Empire, as their Queen Elizabeth aircraft carrier had already fled.

The aircraft carrier was the core of the Beautiful Country Fleet, and now that the core itself had been struck down, it significantly impacted the confidence and morale of the Beautiful Country Fleet.

Yet, the Jieke Group did not give these enemy ships any chance to catch their breath; soon, more biological plasma cannon strikes rained down.

The damage that even a hundred-thousand-ton nuclear-powered aircraft carrier could not withstand, other warships would certainly not be an exception.

With each biological plasma cannon explosion, another warship worth hundreds of millions of US Dollars sank, countless crew mbers buried at sea.

And the three Devourer-class deep-diving cruisers also launched a massive barrage of anti-ship missiles, finishing off the already chaotic Roosevelt Carrier Battle Group, accelerating its demise.

Under such fierce bombardnt, the warships of the Roosevelt Carrier Battle Group were destroyed one after another, the number of ships visibly decreasing.

Including the Beautiful Country fighter jets in the sky, they too realized the tide had turned, unable to breach the dense and abnormal anti-air firepower network of the Yuan Shou, continuing to fight would be pointless suicide, their resolve for a desperate battle deflating like a punctured balloon, these fighter jets chose to flee en masse.

But what left these Beautiful Country fighter pilots in despair was that due to the carpet bombing of the Ryukyu Islands airbase by the Luanyang Air-Space Strategic Bomber, they had no ho to return to.

Those carrier-based aircraft were even worse off; they had no ho at all. With the Roosevelt carrier bombed and sunk, they were like a group of orphans, not knowing where to fly, many pilots ran out of fuel without finding an ergency landing spot, forced to watch as their aircraft ran out of fuel and plumted into the sea.

With the sinking of the Roosevelt carrier, the Beautiful Country Fleet fell apart completely, one warship after another turned to retreat.

However, the Yuan Shou Battlecruiser’s range far exceeded their imagination; no matter how fast their ships were, they only reached speeds of dozens of knots. Confronted by the biological plasma cannon traveling at tens of tis the speed of sound, this escape was entirely futile.

It was like how battleships of the past were powerless against aircraft carriers, being detected was practically equivalent to being destroyed; escaping was an impossible success.

One by one, the Beautiful Country, Japan, and South Korean escort ships and destroyers were blasted into the sea by the biological plasma cannon.

Even the British Empire’s Queen Elizabeth aircraft carrier, having fled first, did not escape the fate of death.

The British Empire, to rally for the Beautiful Country, had deployed the Queen Elizabeth aircraft carrier along with two destroyers. At this mont, the two destroyers were successively blasted into scrap by the biological plasma, leaving only the lone aircraft carrier.

On the Queen Elizabeth’s bridge, Captain Ingram, dressed in immaculate military attire and wearing a neat cap, holding his command saber, gazed at the endless sea below. It seed as if, through the vast ocean, he saw the massive invincible battlecruiser two hundred kiloters away.

"Who would have thought, battleships would see a day of glory return, but alas, the pioneers are no longer our Royal Navy."

Ingram looked forlorn; during the era of the sun-never-setting empire, the Royal Navy of the British Empire was synonymous with battleships, leading the developnt of the battleship era.

From ironclads to pre-dreadnoughts to dreadnoughts, the British Empire, with its giant ships and big guns, one battleship after another, created a brilliant record for battleships. Those battleships once sailing in the oceans were the pride of the British Empire.

But ultimately, the predominant position of battleships was overtaken by aircraft carriers, even the British Empire itself had completely abandoned these outdated relics.

Seeing the unprecedented super battleship built anew by the Jieke Group, once again revolutionizing naval warfare, Ingram couldn’t help but feel a mix of emotions.

He was deeply envious; if such battleships appeared in the British Empire, how wonderful it would be — not to ntion restoring the world dominator status of the sun-never-setting era — it would also greatly enhance the British Empire’s international standing, leading the global developnt of warship construction, just like the advent of dreadnoughts, sparking a craze for giant ships and big guns.

"Order, all ship’s soldiers abandon the ship, open the sea valves."

Ingram commanded to his deputy, yet he himself showed no signs of moving.

"Captain, what about you?"

The deputy already had a premonition, realizing the Queen Elizabeth couldn’t escape the sanctions of that battleship, and that only by abandoning the ship as soon as possible could casualties be minimized.

"I will stay with my ship till the end, moreover, soone has to take responsibility for this defeat."

Ingram shook his head, showing no intention of leaving, nor of surrendering to the Jieke Group.

Even though everyone knew that raising the white flag and surrendering to the Jieke Group would spare their lives, no one would do so.

Because they were the Navy, and the Navy was different from the Army — not only was surrendering unthinkable, even being captured was an unacceptable disgrace.

In tis of defeat, while the Army might find surrender sowhat disgraceful, many would choose to raise the white flag, especially in Western society, where surrendering was not considered shaful.

The Navy’s primary characteristic was its unity as a whole, unlike the Army or Air Force, it must be treated as an integrated entity.

On land, an army’s main fighting strength lies in its soldiers; no matter how fierce the combat, as long as the soldiers remain, the war can continue. As long as even one soldier in the army survives, the army isn’t considered wholly defeated, and its battle flag can still fly.
